Just have to tell you we have our own Peanut, here.  She's a black & white kitty similar to your avi.  I'm not sure I have a pic on this pc to show, but she's a love.....a keeper, for sure.   She was an offspring of feral cats a couple years back.  She strayed away from Momma, and my DH picked her up.  End of story.

Ahhhh, so true.. our cats or dogs have all wandered into our lives (we've had severl in our many years together)...they were and are all extra cuddly, for sure.  If I find a picture to post, I most definitely will bring it to your attention.  I have wanted to tell you since I first saw your screen name.  She's almost like a puppy, because she follows at your heals like one might.....Our furry friends mean the world to us.

Oh, thank you so much for checking, CBB.  That has been quite awhile, come to think of it.  She was getting an apartment, and her son was moving into one in the same complex, I believe.  She said then (Jan 26 I suppose) that she would be back to SM in a few days... Hope all is well with her.

i think thats probably what goes hand in hand with your sensitivities about the caylee case right now. all the info coming at us all from so many different directions and it can be just overwhelming in how it affects us.

it all makes me feel lousy too, probably exasperated in part by my fever, but its mostly all the junk that swirls around the only issue that really counts. caylee was taken before she even had a chance. her monster mother killed her deliberately. she will indeed be made to pay.

so come sit by me, ive got hot chocolate we can share while we try to regroup. *pats couch*

3 of them do faithfully, the baby starts off with my daughter then comes in with me when I finally settle down, and one is a bed hopper!!  She shares the love!!  LOL

Thanks CBB, but I can't take credit for them.......those sunsets were given as a beautiful treasure for everyone to enjoy......it has nothing to do with me, as a matter of fact my 8yr old son took the one in my sig line. I am gradually getting back to painting full time again, but its hard for me. I have done a few commissions of Border Collies and that was fun to do.
Yes, my home and little farm are very peaceful.
I don't have the sheep any longer and the last Border Collie died a few months ago of cancer.

But, The horse is still using my pasture and Phoebe the Bichon thinks she is a Border Collie! They taught her well!

Hello Monkeys,  I just had to get on here and rant for a few minutes, I just got home a little while ago from going to one of the stores that I take orders from and pick things up and anyway, I was working close to the cashiers at this store and there was a Lady buying a playpin for her grandchild that was going to be born sometimes this month and the warning buzzer went off when the cashier rang here up and I saw the cashier go and take the playpen out if the Lady's cart and tell her she couldnt sell her this playpen, I went over to see if it was something I bring to the store and it was, and so I immediatly started to see how many was in the store so I could go get them out, anyway this Lady started fussing and swearing at me about the Playpen, telling me that she wanted it anyway, I said Mame I cant let you buy this item, it has been recalled because there is something unsafe about it, she then told me she didnt care she wanted it, it was the only one that she could find that was the right color, I said Mame it is dangerous in some way thats why it is being recalled, she said oh no its fine I dont care about some little problem it might have, I want it.............needless to say  I finally let here have it with both barrells, I said Mame so you want to hurt your Grandchild or watch your Grandchild get hurt because of something you bought, and guess what after everything I told her, she was still mad and cussed me good before she finally gave up and just walked out.................OMG  some people are unbelievable!!!!!!!!

I've never owned a Border Collie, but if I ever am able to even think I could retire someday, I want one! They are soooo smart and sooooo sweet! I am just gone too much from home to be fair to the breed. I did have a sheltie for 15 years, and she went to work with me!

I "inherited" a shar pei from my son, who was given a Bull Mastiff that absolutely won his heart. It was a real learning curve for me because she is as different from what I was used to as night is to day! But I'm a dog lover, and I wouldn't take a million for her now. By far the Border Collies were the smartest dogs I've ever owned. Mine were also very calm, not hyper like some you see. I just loved them, Very clean, very easy to housebreak and just good dogs.
My little Bichon was "trained" by the Matriarch Border Collie and she is a wonderfully smart little girl too. She does everythign they used to do, even loves to go do "barn chores" with my hubby . Of course, she wears her denim Jeans for that, lol

Oh, I am not familair with anything inthe NE,, it's my daughter's grammie on her dad's side. Very beautiful coastline, but COLD water. I'm partial to the Gulf because it is so warm here, usually around 86 degrees. When she visits in the summer she never attempts to even put her feet in the water there. ::MonkeyConfused::

I'm sorry it took sometime to reply back to you as I've got 2 sick kids on my hands right now but I wanted to reply back that....Yes, it does speak volumes, she's an amazing person. When Klaas disappeared for a few days we all were scared as she was always here and then nothing. We got worried, then when we knew what was going on we prayed. Also, CBB is another reason that makes SM a Great place to be. The mods are the greatest here, they all have different personalities and on any given day you can relate to one of their personalities.  ::MonkeyCool::

Rooscrew, great to see you posting and I have always appreciated your posts and your concerns. I miss seeing one another in the Peaches thread just as I know we all miss her very much. As much as we'd like to think this is only a forum, we really do become woven in the fabric of each other's lives. I hope the kids get well soon and that Mom can get some rest!

Tib, thanks for your post too, thanks for helping to shed some light. You have to be proud of that Aussie pilot that landed in the ocean this week too. The seas looked so rough I think it's another miracle that plane didn't break up and the passengers and crew hurt or lost !
