 I just got more sad news in an email.. a co worker from 911 had brain surgery  :shock:  911 folks are helping by doing a fundraiser for him.. he has a wife and 2 kids and another baby due in August. he was the one that was with me when I got the Flight 93 call.   :cry:  :cry:  :cry:
 Having a fundraiser dinner..DJ.. drinks and food to help with medical costs at the local fire dept.  The dipsatchers are reaching out to the community. Keep JS in prayers as well.
  I guess I am gonna print out the email.. take it to work so I can have that day off.  :(  and I BEST get it too.

I can't imagine why anyone wants to pick on Anna that way. I tell you, the depth of the hatred and sickness out there in the world right now is just incredible. It seems like people are just surrendering every last remnant of decency, common sense, and "normalcy".

Thanks for those kind words but it is for society we must weep.  I do not like at all what I see happening in the world around me.  I know as we grow older some of these feelings are normal but this is beyond the pale at what is happening every day and especially to our young people.

Like you, I have known a better world and know this is NOT it!  Not at all.

I think it is happening everywhere, some are just a bit ahead of others.  I do pray for all of us and civilization in general as it does seem very sick and much in need of some sort of Divine intervention.

You know, what's really sad is that our older ones can remember when things were NOT like they are, when things were better and simpler. It COULD be that way again... but the young always want "change" without any clue as to what "change" may bring.

I feel for our young people today that have never known a world where it is safe to walk down your neighborhood streets, where the people next door could be as trusted as your own parents. where TV was not a running cycle of sex and garbage and stupidity every night, where Godly moral people were heroes and were pointed out as examples insted of being belittled and reviled publicly, where marriage and parents were a normal thing instead of a rarity.

I am SOOOOO AGGRAVATED at things tonight!!!

I guess I qualify as one of the older ones, because I definitely remember a friendlier, safer time.

You aren't the only one, Easy.  I remember getting up in the summer, hopping on my bike and being gone all day.  Of course, we ran in and out of the house all day but I don't remember worrying about my personal safety.

Things are much different now and it sucks.

Same here Peaches.  We would be out the door about daylight, on our bikes and explore the whole town.  If we did anything stupid along the way the news would get back to the house, before we could and we would be greeted on the front porch with a scowl and a switch!  lol

Ya know, we got a lot of fresh air and exercise in those days too.  We might watch a couple of hours of cartoons on a Saturday morning, but we wanted to be outside in the top of a tree or something.  Of course, we only had one channel on the black & white TV and no such thing as the internet.  In fact, there was no such thing as a computer! lol

Ah, yes, the world has gone nuts.

Easy, you made me think of the long bike rides on Saturdays that a few of us would take! We'd pack a picnic lunch and off we'd go!  Parents never had to worry.
But, then, we kids also seemed to have a lot of common sense at a young age which is something I also seem lacking in a lot of young kids today.

I think they are too pampered and not allowed to think for themselves.
Also, parents are not allowed to discipline their own children as they see fit.

It kinda reminds me a lot of what we USED to learn in school about the indoctrination of the children in the then Communist USSR.
As kids we were so appalled at what we learned and I think to see it all happening here in this country and our own people taking it in stride is a bit much for us older MOnkeys to bear. Especially since the younger people in this country don't seem to think there is anything wrong with it.

I guess a lot of people are becoming the "Useful Idiots" that the USSR used to count on to push forth their agenda.

I think I need more coffee. THis subject is one of MY touchy ones! 8)

We have been having unusual weather the past few weeks, very low humidity, mild temperatures and cool breezes.  This morning almost felt like a touch of fall was in the air.  Go figure?  The world seems to be a little upside down these days.

Boy this brings back memories Peaches because this is what I did all day in the summer.  Always riding my bike around the corner and what ever block I was on there was always one of my parents friends near by.

I remember I was riding my bike for a couple of weeks the summer I was 12 years old and my hip was broke :lol: .  I was telling my mother I felt pain in my leg and I would limp but I was still riding my bike and going all over pain and all.  Then one day I was having a catch with my sister and I slipped and that really did it and my mother took me to the doctor and said my bone was moving away from my hip :shock: .  I still have the pins in my hip till this day.

Yes, it really is. We live on the edge of town, the "boonies" as I like to say. Everyone has at least a couple of acres of land. It is beautiful out here. One neighbor has horses, and we can hear them neigh. I will not allow Justin to wait alone outside for the school bus. Pervs troll neighborhoods at bus pick up and drop off times, looking for kids to snatch. Out here, it would be very easy for a child to be taken with no witnesses, no one there to intervene, no one there to even know the child had been taken. I cannot send him outside to play without adult (my) supervision, for the same reasons. When I was a kid, we lived outside. As long as it was daylight, we were out and playing with neighbor children. And not just in our yard. We were up and down and across a block each way from our own block. We walked all over town and explored. It was a wonderful way to grow, with exercise, learning, bonding with others, freedom with security and fresh air. Justin has none of that.  :cry:

For some reason my parents always waited to take me to the doctor.  I fractured my elbow one time and once again they waiting a week. :lol:

I hear ya, Justins.  It's sad.  I know where my girl is all the time.  She doesn't leave the subdivision.  My field of adventure was so much larger as a kid.  We used to take the city bus downtown and run all over the place.  I would never think of letting my girl do that.  She has been to the mall twice without a parent.  In the daytime.  With a friend and her cellphone and tight pick up plans.  

The world has gone to hell in a hand basket.

Reading through some of the BS at the other sites, another glaring reason not to go to Aruba for a vacation arises.  Those that post on those sites and still go to Aruba should be enough to send anyone in the opposite direction.  I’m surprised some of them are not vacationing in some third world country, negotiating deals with the street pimps.

You realize there are two seperate investigations happening.

The FBI (by order of the US congess) can't 'investigate" in a foriegn sovereign land.  They can only assist with specifics when asked.  That's US law.  To do otherwise would be a violation of US and international law.

They assisted in the MB statements. (Not investigated, assisted as requested)

They can however, invesitgate things that happen on US soil.  So two investigations, but they are sharing relevant info with each other.

I believe that it is POSSIBLE that Beth and Jug did not even know that Natalee was going on this trip.  If Natalee was a willful girl, she could have easily signed up for the trip, and never told them.  Natalee was 18.  She did not need parental permission.  Natalee had spent the night with another girl who was the ride to the airport.  Beth was away on a trip for Memorial Day weekend but not with Jug, with girlfriends.

But Jossy says this Attorney General Theresa Croes will NOT prosecute any member of MEP no matter what they do and that seems to be the case.  Interpol has a division just for corrupt cops and I would think AG falls under that category.  I sure hope somebody has called them in on this gang of thugs running that island.

I wonder if it would help if we all wrote to them and protested the refusal to investigate this disappearance.  I also wonder if they have to be invited in like the FBI for who is there to invite them when the ones who should be doing the inviting are the criminals themselves.

I think once the Dutch are done with whatever they are doing, if anything, then contacting an agency such as Interpol might not be a bad idea.
Worse they can do is either ignore the letter or tear it up! It is certainly worth a try to get someone moving on this case.

I am not real optimistic about the Dutch doing anything.
Actually, I am inclined to think the Dutch just want to get rid of that nasty little den of corruption called Aruba.

Worse yet, since the letter, which mostly says things like the trust fund should be given to the suspects because of inconvenience caused them and other ridiculous pro Sloot things like that, it suggest testing for Natalee's DNA and assures the reader it will be there.

What made them think that???  THey had something of Natalee's that I think they rubbed on that letter and it got lost during transit!  Otherwise, why make the claim that Natalee's DNA would be found on it?

Perfect?  No, hardly.  The crime against Natalee was compounded by ineptitude, collusion, and obvious conflict of interest.

And there still remains related CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR, for which no prosecution has been brought forth.  Actual crimes for which there is undeniable evidence: crimes that are directly related to Natalee's disappearance.

And that is the Kalpoe brothers' perjury.  It is a crime to present INTENTIONALLY FALSE TESTIMONY as a witness.  And both the Kalpoe brothers did EXACTLY that, and under the advice of competent legal counsel, which implicates their attorneys, as well.  INTENTIONALLY FALSE TESTIMONY which led directly to the false arrest and incarceration of two innocent men.  And in Kalpoes' case we have the incremental admission and witnessing of a preplanned conspiracy to commit perjury...in two separate instances: the false HI drop off, and the recruitmnet of Croes to deliver the false Cyberzone phone call story.  Plus, the justifiable follow-on charges of obstruction and contempt of court.  The evidence is there in the Kalpoe 5/31 PV's, as well as the early 6/9 PV's before their stories of the HI drop off are retracted during their suspect interrogations.

Perfect Crime?  HA!  I suppose it's a snap to commit "perfect crimes" when obvious criminal behavior goes unprosecuted and is without consequence.
