IF Caylee drowned on the 16th,Casey borrowed the shovel on the 18th for one hour and the car was towed June 30th(I think).Which means Casey would have drove around for a couple of weeks with Caylee in the trunk of her car?

I could be wrong but I don't see this girl burying/digging up a body one or more times. She may have gotten the shovel to do just that and chickened out. I had to bury a goat last year. Now I'm a big girl I buck 100lb bales. But I had an extremely hard time lifting/moving her (the goat was only 45lbs) because of the weight and size/aquardness. By the time the hole was dug, no more than 2 hours, she already smelled bad enough to make you sick. I have a feeling Caylee will be found in a waterway. She obviously loved to swim and to Casey that was probably some sick demented last swim for caylee.

The boots and shoes had the dirt on them from when she took Caylee out, that's where the dirt came from. The reason they where not picked up by LE is they where thrown out. GM couldn't wash them so away they went..

Maybe, if I blow it up to 150, it looks like tiny dents.

I also don't think the shovel was used to break into the shed for a couple reasons.
1) She'd leave marks on the shovel that the neighbor would identify
2) There would be marks on the Shed
3) She barrowed it on the 18 the gas isn't stolen until the 22-23.

What can you use a Shovel for?
1) Diging a hole
2) Prying up something (A weight to put on something to keep it in the water)

What can you use Gas for?
1) Burn something
2) Disguise something (change the smell of something, attempt to wash something off)
3) For a vechicle (car or boat)

He can not be compelled unless there is a court order and there is nothing right now that could force him to give a sample. Nothing. There are laws to protect people from undue search and seizure.

it would be a violation of Constitution as he is under no obligation to provide anything based on the rumors of a message board.

however if he admits he could be the father and had no idea or if he says he knew all along - that would be probable cause to ask for a court order.

I can't quote from the last page since it's locked, but my point about a fundraiser was meant to stress that the fundraiser for Caylee in Daytona was for a missing child, and as many of us believe, a deceased child.  I still think it is tacky to have fun and games and Hooter girls as entertainment under such conditions.  While all of this might be appropriate for a fundraiser to raise money for an organization (Although I personally think the Hooter girls are appropriate only in Hooter's) it is not IMO appropriate to raise funds for such a serious matter in this way.  But the Anthonys are so tacky, nothing would surprise me. 

I don't think Cindy had any idea all this was gonna happen, I think she called to scare Casey into telling her where Caylee was but never thought she was really missing or even dead. SAD SAD

Some thoughts and questions.
Would Casey, as an unemployed single parent Mother, be able to apply for welfare in Flda?
Though unusual, I think it is possible that a single parent Mother (possibly with the encouragement of her family) might trade child support to avoid custody issues in the future.  Particularly when Casey had a rent free roof over her head and parents that gave some financial support.
The vehicle that was abandoned near the check cashing shop.  Is it possible Casey went into that shop to cash a forged check?
Did Casey cash Amy's forged check at a bank?
The intended use of the borrowed shovel from the neighbor is really bugging me - are there other uses other than the ones discussed, (prying open the shed lock or digging)???

LaLa'sMom - yes quite possibly, and just thinking - she could have changed her mind at any time -  named the father and request child support through the court should her situation. 

About the phone calls...when I see my caller ID and realize that my daughter called me a half dozen times I know something is up.  Why didn't either parent call her back and find out what was wrong?  If they were both at work could Casey not phone the work numbers and get in touch with them also?

I'm still thinking it's a possibility that Casey was at the SawGrass Apts on the 17th ... that's how she got Zenaida's name .... she may have been looking for a place to "dump" the body there (an empty apt) since I think she was setting up a "kidnapping" plot.  That was the day she has no accountability for.  Lot's of time to plot and plan. 

Yes and George claims he saw Casey and Caylee leave as he was watching TV at 12:50pm, right before he was going to leave for work.  So, if Casey and Caylee actually left at 12:50 and for the drowning scenerio to work, they would have to have returned shortly after leaving.  Casey pretending to have a job and go to work only to sneak back home with Caylee.

I can't find any that aren't bleeped out but when I first listened to the original phone call I heard Pat say "a friend of Mike Wallace" someone else thought they heard Mike Walker. Whoever he is he's mostlikely related to Tony in some way. Thought Casey did have a classmate named Michael Walker. And I haven't found where Pat went to school with casey though that's how he presents himself to her.

I think the kidnapping plot is very likely. 
Wow, that is a possible explanation for getting Zenaida name.  Gosh I never thought of that.  SawGrass apt.'s for that purpose.  Poor little Caylee!

Go back to the first phone conversation with Casey...she was pissed off at her Mom for what she said to the media and said dont even bother coming here for my bond arraignment. Did you ever think they HAD to play the charade of supporting Casey just to keep the lines of communication open with her? George and Cindy are going through hell imho...trying to cling to the hope that Caylee is still alive and well...trying to cling to the belief that despite her flaws, they did not raise a daughter who would hide her own daughter's death from them!!! That has got to be the worst experience in the world...and call them flakey...I think they have to hold on to the hope Caylee is ok...or they just may not survive...I wouldn't!!!!

I don't think it was funny at all this morning when I saw George lose it with the reporters....I really felt for the man...I think he is at his breaking point. I had an older sister who was very similar to Casey...she was a habitual liar. My parents took custody of her first child when he was 6 months old...she just not ready to be a parent, and they raised him. Best thing that could have happened to my nephew who was raised as my baby brother. As a result...I know what it is like to watch my parents desperately trying to believe that their daughter...their princess...their first born and their pride and joy....was telling them the truth...even though to the rest of the world they looked like fools...to the rest of the world the lies were so obvious. I think we should show George and Cindy a bit more compassion. Their world is falling apart...they are desperately trying to hold it together. I am sure every night they pray they could turn the clocks back 2 months. I just can't imagine what their lives are like right now...and can feel nothing but compassion for them...and Lee also. None...not an ounce for Casey!!! But I feel deeply for Caylee, George, Cindy and Lee.

I agree not enough time she would have had to have been waiting around the corner then what imediately get in the house and immediately ignore the kid. Caylee looks far too bright and was probably used to having to entertain herself. Probably take a kid an hour or so to get bored enough to decide to go take a swim by herself. Unless we assume Casey drown her, which as careless as she is, I do genuinely think she loved Caylee. She was just misguided and careless.

I do think the frantic calls are her trying to call her parents because something happen. I think the window is 12:50 to 3.

Someone on another board made this observation which I think could be close.

Casey and Caylee depart at 12:50 and go somewhere. Maybe out to cash checks who knows. At some point Caylee falls asleep, Casey stopps off somewhere to get something maybe from Tony's or Amy's. Instead of waking the baby she just "runs in real quick". She gets side tracked on the phone, checking email, getting clothes, who knows. She gets back to the car and realizes Caylee is cold, sweating and breathing funny. Maybe she starts calling her parents now. Maybe she thinks she needs to be cooled down and remembers the pool. She rushes over to her home (where all her problems go away) and puts the baby in the pool to cool her off. Maybe she even attempts CPR at the corner of the pool. Depending on how sever the heat exhaustion was it may have taken a while for caylee to expire. When she realizes she's gone she panics again and starts calling the parents. After not being able to get ahold of them she starts having delutions about how much trouble with her over protective mother she is in. She seems to be seeking male approval (maybe daddy didn't love her enough, maybe he "loved" her too much) he's also a cop so she's paniced about that. All she can think is it's all her fault for neglecting her. Everyone will blame her for being a bad mom.

It has holes for any rational person but keeping in mind this family isn't rational it's possible. From here on I can't even fathom what could have happend. And with George having seen Casey on the 24 it blows any theory I can think of. Course I dont' think he saw her on the 24th.

one more comment then I have to hit the sack....if Casey is as narcissistic as she appears to be...then she probably used Caylee as a pawn to manipulate her parents. My sister did this to my parents. They loved my nephew so much, and were so worried about his welfare that they put up with all kinds of bullshit from my sister to keep her from taking off with my nephew. I used to get so furious at them...felt like they allowed her to get away with murder...excuse the pun...but they had to...to keep my nephew close and safe. And I'll be damned they were probably correct...look what happens the first time Casey takes off with Caylee. It is just so so sad.

Hi ldstlou - I'm torn about the grandparents.  Just when I start feeling sorry for them I find out something that makes me wonder how much they know. 

I was just watching Greta and the entire panel believes this is a case of homocide, either accidental or intentional.  They don't think LE can charge her with that right now until they get all the evidence back from the car etc.  They are building the case but according to them, ALL OF THEM, the direction this case is going is clear.

Well, you certainly know first hand what it is like to witness a manipulator when a loved child is the pawn.  My hat's off to your parents for raising their grandson.

some women just aren't meant to be mothers...I think Casey was way too young and immature to handle the responsibility. She allowed Cindy to do all the work...but resented the attention that was taken from herself...imho. Caylee was more a pawn to Casey than anything else...imho. I don't know if the rumors are true about running up 45,000 in credit card debt, it appears she had a history of lying and cheating her friends and loved ones. Caylee was just a means to an end to her. Why do I say this? Look at her actions over the 30 some days her daughter was "missing"...in all likelihood, deceased...what a pig. Put her a joran together in a cell...they both deserve each other!!!
I still however feel deeply for George, Lee and Cindy. They loved Caylee...that is for sure.

Yep and Casey is holding all the cards right now, just the way she wants it.

That's for sure that there is nothing rational about this case or any lost child or person.

Hi, I am a long time lurker from the Natalee pages.

It seems like Jesse (ex-fiance) must be involved in the cover-up of probably accidental death of Caylee.  If Casey made those 12 phone calls to her parents that were unanswered (as per Mark Furman on Greta), I agree with a previous poster that she must have left Caylee in her carseat when she fell asleep soon after they left the house).  When the parents didn't answer, Furman said she made 2 other calls, she probably called Jesse, and he probably scared her that she would be charged with negligance or something and they decided to cover it up.  It also seems a little odd that an ex-fiance would call to say he quit his job.  Then Jesse threw off the timeline by saying he heard Caylee during that phone call.  My son is a cop, he often works side jobs at apartment complexes in bad neighborhoods; could Jesse have made a call at Sawgrass or worked a side job and had access to the records and saw Zenaida's name and provided it to Casey? I would have thought Furman would have checked that out already, but I haven't heard anything.

Because no one at Sawgrass apts. remembers Casey at all, I do think it's possible she had some help, and that someone else could have likely seen Zenaida's inquiry card.

The phone records should show a call to Jessie, if Casey called him, right? Jessie might have decided to stay away from reporters because he's involved and knows rather than just being noble.

There are several key "quirks" that don't make sense or are a phenominal coincidence in this case. Some have obvious answers, and others do not. I'm not considering her parents in this, because IMO, no matter what they've done after Caylee went missing, at least I'm going on the premise right now that they weren't involved in what happened to Caylee. I'm just focusing on Casey. I think it might prove helpful to look at them individually and collectively.

1. The ladder on the pool isn't accounted for.

2. Zenaida Gonzalas does have a connection to Sawgrass Apts but doesn't know Casey.

3. A flurry of calls on the 16th, but no message left on anyone's phone Casey was calling? (SURELY police have checked that!)

4. Casey had used Zenaida's name before anything happened to Caylee, as Caylee's babysitter. She was able to take police to an apt that would produce at least a loose connection to that name.

5. Solved, but the gas can reported theft WAS a quirk, before it was resolved.

6. Where was Casey when her parents thought she was at work all that time before Caylee went missing?

7. The decomposition smell in the car.

8. She was stealing money and spending lots of money.

9. The shovel Casey borrrowed from the neighbor. Why?

10. She backed into the driveway which was unusual.

11. Casey's nervousness about George getting into the car.

12. She told her parents she was in Jacksonville.

I agree the parents definitely were not involved in what happened, and are in shock and trying to accept their daughter's involvement. I'm sure they were good parents and can't understand how Casey could have done this, especially since their son seems to have turned out so well.  I'm sure they are blaming themselves, wondering how they went wrong with raising Casey, and wishing they could have protected Caylee.  They seem like good, honest people who at this point just want and need the truth to come out.  Unfortunately, Casey will probably stick to her story to the bitter end.

1. I agree with the poster who said that Casey may have tried to revive Caylee in the pool. 

3. As for all the phone calls, if she was in a panic, she needed to talk to someone immediately, leaving a VM would not help.  Per Mark Furhman, the police would not name who the other 2 calls were to.

4. Only Casey's and the family's word on Casey talking about Zenaida before the disappearance.  Seems like at the beginning Cindy wasn't saying they recognized the name.  She incorporated that later, didn't she?

6. Caylee must have been with Casey.  Maybe she was an escort, and brought Caylee with her.

7, 10 & 11. Those to me, mean Caylee is not alive.

8. Stumped on the spending money, unless the stress of losing Caylee caused compulsive shopping.  If she has borderline personality disorder, compulsive behavior under stress is one of their big issues.

9.  Furhman also said Casey made another bunch of (unanswered) cell calls to the parents the day she borrowed the shovel from the neighbor.  She was probably mad that the shed was locked and called her parents to b*tch and find out where the key was.

12. Probably a lie.

Reading some of the supposition here around possible heat stroke impacting Caylee and causing her death, I was reminded of a comment that Cindy the grandmother made when describing the "pizza". I remember her stating something to the effect of you all know how hot it's been here lately........I thought it was the kind of comment a guilty person would say, or someone trying to cover something up via qualifiying statements to support a lie.

Just a random thought, cycling off Klaas' post regarding having mixed feelings about Cindy, which I do too.

I noticed something in the Girdle show last night.

Mike Cordoza - one of my favs and this guy is right on 99% of the time - said that if they charged Casey, right now with some form of homicide - they would get it. Meaning that a jury would come back and convict. I don't think he was saying as a matter of spite - but simply justice. Jeannie Pirro disagreed and felt it was a weak case right now and all ducks were not yet lined up - said it's getting there - but just not yet. (but the way, Jeannie is not only beautiful - she's brilliant - my favorite combination).

Cin Cin - pants are now located on back seat. They have moved around the inside of the car and now according to Cindy, she found them on the back seat. This is interesting because that's where the child seat was located and there is only going to be so much room after the child seat takes up half the back seat. First reference here was - found on front floor.

It hard to keep track of all the inconsistencies and still give the Anthonys the benefit of the doubt.

Let's face it - Cindy's husband was a cop. It's hard for me to believe that she has no idea what the procedures are for evidence. I know most cops do not like to take their work home with them because it leads to divorce, but come on, she has to know that washing those clothes was not a good idea. Cindy made a statement saying just that last night. She absolves herself publicly and she feels no worse for the wear. Terrible in my opinion.

George's gas station - why lie about something as simple as the gas can theft and the identity of said thief? That's not only plain ole wrong - it side tracked the investigation and George eventually admitted he lied. If he's lying about something as simple as the gas cans - he could literally be covering up anything - his credibility is shot. We're still not talking about a lost cat here - this is a missing child - and a member of society. My alliance is to the missing child and not George or Cindy. When they start telling the truth and not half truths and a trickle at a time, I start to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I googled this combination - "a family member helped dispose of the body" and guess what??

That brought out 297,000 combinations of those exact words. Not all were a total match in that exact layout - but many were.

When the police clear Casey, George, Cindy and Lee, I'll apologize - but not until and quite frankly, I don't think I will have to. Remember, family members often know the whole story long before the police, the media and the rest of us - it just takes time to get the entire story.

Most of us have been following missing person cases for a long time and are not new to what makes people tick in these circumstances. It's not a set pattern, but there are commonalities that seem to run in most cases involving family members and the people they think they are protecting.

I thought it might be helpful to kind of divide this stuff into "prior history", "crime timeframe", and "post crimetime". I was hoping if we could catagorize it that way, we might make some sense of when she started covering-up and what and how she did that, and link it to whatever she was hiding before something happened to Caylee. Maybe putting it all together would give us a clearer picture.

I'm honestly puzzled by how she managed to come up with Zenaida Gonzala's name, connected to Sawgrass apts. when Zenaida never met her and the apt managers never saw Casey before. Something's really wrong there.

I was shocked that there was a Zenaida at all, and it does lead to some interesting areas - mainly - how did Casey get that name and exact location?

I said the other day that it really doesn't matter - Zenaida is not lying - Casey is. The police have cleared her and this is just going to bog things down.

I guess the police could ask for a polygraph and further clear her, but that would just create more pain for someone else victimized by Casey. I'm sure Zenaida provided a time line and it must have been impossible for her to be involved.

I guess in my opinion this is a side item and not really worth spending too much time trying to figure out. Casey could have literally chosen anyone and that person would eventually be cleared and also in pain. I do admit it is interesting, but how can it lead anywhere when the person has no correlation to the case or Casey?

Somewhere along the line - this area will be revealed by the police and it will probably be way way way far away from anything we have come up with.

July 12: After they had not seen Caylee for some time, the girl's grandparents got concerned and confronted Casey, convincing her to go to the sheriff's office.

There is one item in the Zenaida story that is very interesting - Casey said her daughter was in danger and revealing that info would get Caylee or her family hurt. I don't think the police believed her because they went public with that info. I seriously doubt that the police would take that chance if they thought there was even a one percent chance that could lead to harming Caylee or her family.

The Anthonys would have been placed in protective custody. You could look at it like this - the police have further called Casey out and although it is not the defendants job to prove their innocences, (it is the prosecutor's job to prove the guilt) the LE do not seem at all concerned that anything will transpire from revealing that info.

Today as I was fixing my morning cup of coffee it really hit me hard that today is Caylee's third birthday. It breaks my heart to know that this precious child is probably no longer among the living and makes me ill to think of her body being somewhere rotting away...... I could kick Casey's ass!!!!! She is a heartless monster, if she had one ounce of decency she would tell where Caylee is so that she could receive the final services she deserves and her loved ones could have their chance to finally tell her good-bye.I don't buy that there is a kidnapper and that Casey is protecting Caylee.....Casey is protecting herself IMO....

The only thing I find comfort in is the fact that Caylee can now have two wonderful babysitters with Natalee and Kaitlin....

I have tried to put myself in Casey's shoes...I said I tried.  I kept asking myself if Casey was so stupid as to really leave Caylee in a hot car for that long.  Yes, it doesn't take long for one to overheat and become an inferno, but that would mean she didn't leave a window down or anything.  Now, knowing there was really no job or babysitter the only place she could keep her was in the car.  So it's possible that she did leave her there. The key to this mess are those "flurry" of phone calls.  Something took place at that time that would solve this whole mess.  No doubt Casey is the person that is responsible and I too feel for her parents. They have dealt with a trouble making child for a while and now she uses her own child as leverage to get what she wants.  They should have called Casey's bluff a long time ago and let her stand on her own two feet. It would not have been very difficult to obtain custody of Caylee.  They know the truth now and they are facing it with everyone watching.  It must be unbearable.  It makes them appears foolish and nutty at times.  I would suspect the LE knows by now what problems Casey has been for them before.  You have to remember this...Casey is family.  She is their daughter and regardless they loved her deeply at one time.  The realization that their own child could have killed her child and you didn't see it coming or you didn't help is a hug burden of guilt to bear. Most people will crack under it and I think that is what we are seeing happen, slowly but surely.

Hi Cubbee, I can only come up with two items why Casey is not revealing what happened.

1. It's M1

2. Casey is covering for someone else (her accessory, maybe in just a disposal or a confidant) and that kind of makes sense with all this kidnapper business and all the lying. I can only see Casey covering for someone who could get in as much trouble as her and some she might love or someone she thinks loves her.

I do admit it sure looks like she was setting up someone and most likely Zenaida to take the fall - so the body must be near by and recoverable.

Surely the stress of having that go on for so long has got to be taking a major toll on George,Cindy and Lee.....
However, I still feel that if they were more forthcoming it might have brought this to an end more quickly, which I am sure they are feeling guilt over that also. I suspect that they had at least entertained the idea of taking custody of Caylee away from Casey at some point and probably wish that they had done so.......hindsight IS 20/20...

I agree about the stress Casey's parents are dealing with. We have someone similar to Casey in my extended family. The entire family has spent years trying to help this person - giving monetary and verbal support, doing favors, giving advice, etc. Supporting someone like that becomes a habit for the whole family. Everyone does it and no one thinks twice about it. I feel that's what happened with George, Cindy, and Lee when Caylee first went missing. They all went into the normal mode of "let's all support and help Casey." It's probably only now sinking in that supporting her in this case was entirely the wrong thing to do.

I agree .... when dealing with someone with the issues that Casey , by all accounts seemed to have, the whole family becomes "co-dependant", their whole lives are spent trying to support them and in turn their whole lives are affected by that persons issues...it becomes very hard to determine when "helping" your loved one is really hurting.... I soooooo want to believe that Casey did not kill her daughter - I really do, but at some point stuff starts to look more and more like this is way more than what it appears on the surface.

I also think the hot car or accidental drowning do look appealing - but only to shield myself from thinking this is far worse.

And accident or unintentional / negligent homicide is going to be about the same as the 6 years she is facing right now for neglect / endangerment and lying to the authorities.

Casey is totally innocent and the police have the wrong person or this is a capital offense.

Family members describe Casey Anthony as a doting mother. Snapshots seem to depict a party girl. Detectives say she's a liar. Could she be all three?

Nearly one month after her arrest, the 22-year-old single mom remains as much a mystery as the disappearance of her daughter, Caylee Marie, who turns 3 today.

Anthony refuses to speak to reporters, offering no clues into a private life that has made her a topic of discussion -- and sometimes disgust -- across the nation.

The relentless search to find Caylee and the intense media coverage have had a chilling effect on her friends. Their silence has made it difficult to get a clear picture of Casey Anthony.

"There are a lot of her friends who may have come forward two or three weeks ago [and talked to the media], but they are certainly not now," Casey's mother, Cindy Anthony, said. "They ask me, and I say, 'Don't do it. Your life won't be the same.' " (note from me...do you want to find Caylee or not? )

Since Caylee was reported missing July 15, dozens of photos have surfaced on the Internet showing Casey Anthony partying with friends in local nightclubs, bars and wild house parties.

One shows a bare-shouldered Anthony wrapped in an American flag and grasping a pitcher of beer. Another catches Anthony dancing with a woman at a nightclub. Three others show Anthony crouching in front of a toilet, pulling down her pants and smiling as a man grabs her breast.

These pictures and dozens more are posted, mostly anonymously, on the popular photo-sharing Web sites Flickr and Photobucket. They have not appeared in the Orlando Sentinel because the newspaper insists on getting permission from the owners of photos before publishing them.

It also is unclear when some of the images were taken.

Widespread distribution of these snapshots on TV, however, has fueled criticism of Anthony as a woman who parties when she was supposed to be looking for her daughter.

Anthony's mother dismissed the photos, saying many were taken long before Caylee vanished.

"Casey can't have all those different hair lengths and hairdos within a matter of a month," Cindy Anthony said. "Those photos range from when she was 18 to June 13."  (AH....more like June 20th)


Wonderful mother?

In contrast to the photos, Anthony family members and others insist Casey Anthony is a warm, caring parent who adored her daughter.

Family friend and former neighbor Holly Gagn� said Anthony had a close relationship with Caylee. She recalls Anthony breast-feeding the child and inviting Gagn�'s children to the park.

"I remember thinking, wow, wow, what a great job she's doing," said Gagn�, a mother of four.

Anthony's childhood friend Brittany Schieber said Anthony always has been "a good-hearted person and someone who liked to have fun."

The two attended Colonial High School but drifted apart until recently, when they rekindled their friendship. Caylee and Schieber's son are close to the same age.

Schieber said she thought it was a joke when Anthony sent her a July 15 text message, telling her that she had not seen Caylee in 31 days.

She was surprised Anthony had waited so long to report her daughter missing because she had considered Anthony a good mother.

"I just don't know what's going on with Casey," she said.


Liar and thief?

In the weeks since Anthony told authorities that Caylee disappeared with a baby sitter, sheriff's detectives and friends have complained that she has trouble telling the truth.

Ryan Pasley, a longtime friend in Jacksonville, said Anthony is likable but tends to exaggerate. For example, she told him she was an event planner at Universal Studios and a student at a community college.

She was neither.

When reports of Caylee's disappearance surfaced last month, he didn't understand what was happening to his friend.

"Casey . . . just . . . I don't know. Something snapped. I guess she just got caught up in her lies," he said. "To some extent, I'm angry. I don't know how I can be lied to for so many years."

Others, including an ex-fianc�, described her to Orange County sheriff's investigators as a habitual liar and a thief.

Her friend Amy Huizenga told deputies that Anthony had stolen $700 from her and taken checks from her vehicle, which she lent to Anthony, the arrest affidavit shows.

Detectives maintain that little of what Anthony has said about the child's disappearance is true. Her jobs, people she claims to have spoken to, the address where she last dropped off Caylee with the baby sitter and even the sitter herself all appear to be fiction, sheriff's reports state.

Anthony's family members have shrugged off the questions, presenting a united front in her defense as they search for Caylee.

George Anthony, Casey Anthony's father, is a former deputy sheriff in Trumbull County, Ohio, who moved his family to Orlando in 1989. Since then, he has held various security-related jobs. For a time, he was a security guard at the Sentinel.

Cindy Anthony is a registered nurse and works as a clinical manager at Gentiva Health Services in Winter Park. She has emerged as Casey Anthony's strongest defender, telling reporters she believes in her daughter.

Sometime the strain of the case starts to show, however.

On Friday, Anthony refused to come out of her jail cell and speak to her brother Lee Anthony at a scheduled visit. No one was scheduled to visit her today on Caylee's birthday.

Earlier this week, Cindy Anthony said she planned to mark the day quietly at home:

"George, Lee and myself will be together, and we'll sit down and pray and tell Caylee how much we love her and happy birthday."

I know Rob, that bothers me, and while it might just be me, I have to wonder where is all of the support from friends, and neighbors...... I know that Danette, and Beth had support from people from all walks of life and all over the world... it just seems to me that maybe people around them would be there to support them, media or not....
When Kaitlin was missing I remember a co-worker telling me that I should not go around there because it was a police investigation..... that appalled me as these were people I knew and loved.... just seems to me that after living there for so long they would have more support ....

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The grandfather of a missing Orlando girl apologized for an outburst at reporters Friday as strangers continued to bring gifts for the child's third birthday.

More than 100 people gathered Friday night and prayed for missing Caylee Anthony on the eve of her third birthday.

The vigil was organized by a 12-year-old girl in St. Cloud.

"They have gone through a lot of tough times," organizer Dakota Skii said. "They are struggling."

During the vigil George Anthony addressed an earlier incident where he screamed at reporters outside of his home.

"A lot of you probably saw on the news how I sort of lashed out at the media today and I can tell the media right now that I'm sorry," George Anthony said.

Earlier George Anthony screamed, "You people have no idea what we’re going through. You don’t care about me. You don’t care about (my wife). You don’t care about my granddaughter. You don’t care about any of this stuff."

Before Friday night's vigil ended, the crowd sang happy birthday to Caylee with the child's family.

"It is people like you who allow us to get up every morning and face another day," Cindy Anthony said. "It is going to take communities like this to come together and to bring Caylee home."

"Your prayers and support mean more than you can even imagine," George Anthony said.

New Call Released


Also, the Orange County Jail released a new phone call between Caylee Anthony's mother, Casey, and her brother Lee.

"Hey Case," Lee Anthony said.

"Hey, I need a favor," Casey Anthony said.

"Sure," Lee Anthony said.

"Can you get a hold of Jose and have him come see me as soon as he can, like today at some point?" Casey Anthony said.  (who is Jose?  Is that a typo?  Do they mean Jessie?  I haven't listened to the call yet)

"Yeah, let me give him a call," Lee Anthony said.

"Yeah, if you could do that, I would greatly appreciate it," Casey Anthony said. "You know, give my love obviously but I only have a minute to talk so…"

"OK, yeah, I'll do that right now," Lee Anthony said.

"OK, I appreciate that," Casey Anthony said.

"All right, love you," Lee Anthony said.

"Love you too," Casey Anthony said.

Strangers Bring Gifts


Families were traveling to the home of Cindy and George Anthony to drop gifts and other items in the search for the missing girl.

Signs were also left in the yard to the family too.

Cathy Harris stopped by the home but was angry at the grandparents.

"I get angry," Harris said. "If I see the grandmother, I probably would not say anything nice."

'Safe House' Considered


Meanwhile, attorney Jose Baez launched a new appeal to spring Casey Anthony out of jail.

However, with talks of threats against the family if Casey Anthony leaves jail, Cindy Anthony has considered the use of a safe house.

"Right here, I don't think is the ideal place for her not because we don't want her in the house and everything but we may have to hole her up somewhere in a safe house," Cindy Anthony said.


A national search for Caylee continues.

Rob, I hear ya. I'm to the point that I truly don't know what to think anymore. All the errors, lies, deceit and misinformation...there's that term again...makes this so difficult to piece things together.

I don't believe Casey is totally innocent and the main reason I say this is, she has lied about EVERYTHING and what she hasn't lied about, she hasn't told. There is a reason for this. Even if she didn't kill her, she knows what happened and isn't helping the situation. I lean away from a death in the hot car. Again, the cadaver dogs didn't hit on the inside of the car IIRC. It was the trunk. Something dead was in the trunk, not in the backseat where the carseat was or where you would lay a body.

Something I thought of last night was, could this have happened at Tony's house? Has LE checked out Tony's apartment? The reason I say this is, Cindy reported that the duffle bags of clothes taken from Tony's smelled like the car,( i.e. decomposition smell ?). That's why she washed them. Tony immediately took down his MySpace when this all came out. Just another thought to ponder on.

LE has gone back 3-4 times with search warrants....they had to have found something to have reason to go back for more...a judge won't sign for another search warrant without probable cause

I have a different take on the family dynamics. I think George was probably the stricter disciplinarian of the family and Cindy was always trying to be the buffer between Casey and George to avoid confrontations .
Remember, Casey admitted to Cindy on the phone that she stole the gas. Cindy says, fill them back up, write a note and get them back before he gets home. Unfortunately, Casey did not take her advice and George probably suspected it was Casey and thus wanted to see inside the trunk.
George was a cop, I am sure he doesn't take any bullshit and doesn't buy Casey's lies. Cindy is the peace keeper in the family...trying to cover for Casey so George doesn't find out and blow his lid. This is just my take on the family. I think it really showed when George lost his temper in the driveway with the reporters and Cindy's immediate reaction was to try and smooth everything over.

I don't think George, Lee or Cindy know what happened to Caylee. We heard the 911 tapes, we know that Casey was taken to jail the next day. We know every conversation they have had since she went to jail. I am sure that they have their suspicions, but lets face it, they are trying to hold out hope that Casey DID get herself involved with some weirdo Nanny who wanted to keep Caylee....the alternative is probably just too much to bare.

And go back to the first phone call between Casey and the family. She told her Mom
"I heard what you said to the reporters"  she was threatening them from day one...support me or I cut off all communications. They HAD to publically support Casey, had to play her game...or Casey would cut them off and then they would have NO chance at finding out what happened to Caylee.

Casey's Boyfriend Talks To WESH 2

Casey's boyfriend, Tony Lazarro, spoke to WESH 2 on Friday.

Lazarro is the one person that Casey pleaded to speak with when she called her family's home from jail.

His cell phone now has a message on it saying that he has no comment for members of the media.

When Lazarro spoke to WESH 2, he said he is surprised by the amount of media attention he is getting. He said he hasn't spoken to Casey at least since her arrest, and that he is considering filing a lawsuit for protection against the media.

I've got to tell you...if I had reporters camped out in front of my house and following me where ever I go, I would say I didn't know where my husband worked either. You know darned well if the reporters knew where he worked they would be camped out there and asking all kinds of questions about George and his family and then George would probably not have a job to go back to. I definately would do the same thing in Cindy's shoes.

In reference to Casey refusing to see Lee during their scheduled jail visit, Cindy said she thinks Casey was not aware that Lee was coming.



Casey Anthony Refuses To See Brother

Lee Anthony arrived at the Orange County Jail on Friday to visit his sister, but Casey Anthony refused to see him.

A jail representative said Casey Anthony was aware of the meeting, and it was her decision not to see him.

"All this boils down to is she did not report her missing for 31 days. If she had, she wouldn't be facing that charge right now," he said. He went on to say that he believes the real Zenaida Gonzalez is still out there. He said he too will follow the evidence wherever it goes.

Lee Anthony also said he has no idea of the whereabouts of Caylee and that he is confident investigators are pursuing all leads in the case.

He claimed he has been doing his own investigation into the disappearance of his niece, Caylee, from the very beginning.

"There are phone call records from that day which are extremely interesting,” he said.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office agrees. In a search warrant they released Thursday, it said, "the private phone call where (Casey) claims to have spoken with Caylee, there was no incoming phone call at that time."

Throughout the investigation, the sheriff's office has said Casey Anthony has been less than truthful.

Lee Anthony said his sister is not sinister. He said her charges point that out.

confirms the point I made earlier...Cindy is forever the peace keeper...always trying to smooth things over...and making excuses for Casey.

If the Anthony's didn't want media attention they should have put a stop to it from the beginning.  No interviews...no photos...don't do anything that would cause you to be suspicious.  In other words...no comments...they would still be asking questions, but it would not be like this.

Someone here or on WS had wondered if GA had perhaps worked as as security guard at the Sawgrass Apts. ...... since we know the grandparents wouldn't volunteer that info, I was just thinking out loud as to how LE could find out ...... as if they haven't already checked it out.   ::MonkeyConfused::

He told me that he contacted the Family to offer to put this together as a fundraiser...he said that *Perfect DJ* uses the go cart place periodically to help raise funds for an organization called *Camp Augie* (sp)...a summer camp for terminally ill children...he said they only had about a week to advertise it...so they had a very bad turnout...

The man I talked with sounded very sincere and nice...he really feels for the G-parents...as a matter of fact he said he just got an email from Cindy yesterday....he told me she is very mad and upset with the media and press...on how she is being treated by them....there is more to phone call but it includes names and numbers I'm not going to post....

I cant believe how neat Cindy still looks.  I would look like a bag lady by now.  My face would be puffy from crying all the time.  No telling what I would be wearing.  My nails would be broken because I had probably dug the whole yard up by hand.  Doesn't make sense to me.

has anybody used google earth to zoom in on the anthony house?...well, i did abd theres a large construction zone pretty much in thier back yard...a few steps away from that is a large wooded area as well...i zoomed in further to see that the spot is very secluded...it looks like the space is being flattened for future housing development and is virtually abandoned....all casey anthony had to do was go through back fence, cross the sand and enter the woods, nobody would have ever seen her, espacially in the dark....use google earth to zoom in on 4937 hopespring dr...youll see what i mean...has anyone searched the area yet?

Always, it looks like she's had a haircut and some hi-lites too.

Another quirky thing Rob...Police/cops don't usually leave the force to do random security work...big step down!  About the only time that happens is if there is something on their Police Record...that keeps them off the force....JMOO

Is anybody watching foxnews?  They just said they are working on the theory that something happened in the pool on the 16th after the GP's left for work. It would make sense to me.  Something happened that day.

let's just say fer a sec that is the area where a drowning occurred - is this going to be pleaded down to an accident?

that makes no sense when you consider that there are many drownings in Florida and all over the country for that matter and rarely are there charges. Most DAs just leave it alone as the parents are distraught enough without additional charges, and ones the DA might not win in court.

not sure I buy this and if there is truly blood in the trunk - that would have to be more than a drowning in my opinion.

and it doesn't explain hiding the body and Casey's personality disorder.

I agree Carpe.  I think she kept the body in the car for awhile before disposal, than ditched the car exactly as you say.

Rob I agree also, I can't wrap my head around an accident than feeling the need to hide a body and dispose of it, makes no sense under any circumstances for me.

and Carpe's theory also explains why she acted as she did - only when the body was found would she all of a sudden realize that her daughter was missing - hence she left the daughter with someone and that person is responsible.

Casey just acts normal until the news hits her - and it's Academy Award time.

When the pictures surfaced before the body - she was caught.

Everything that anyone has said in this family is a hint.  The veterans here know this.  Cindy rants on about safety and that damn pool....Casey was safety conscious...when has she ever really been conscious of anything?  She is all about me and no one else. 

Casey was not watching that child...you have to be on alert 24/7 with a 2-3 year old.  Casey was too busy doing her own thing away from Caylee....poor child just wanted to go swim...it was her happy place...everyone played with her and loved her in the pool.  Casey found her floating in that pool...maybe Casey had a "friend" over and was not paying attention.  Maybe this friend was in the pool with Casey for a while and it was a "he" and Casey decided other things would be more fun.  Tell Caylee to stay here and play with your toys.  Instead, Caylee wanted to go back outside. 

I guess the timeline doesn't fit a soirée between Casey and someone else.

also where does the activity on the 18th fit in, backing up to the garage, borrowing shovel, stealing gas cans?  Did she stash her on the property for 2 days?? 

It is not an accident...it's child neglect or even worse.  Casey's mind does not work like normal people's minds work.

Casey realized that she had to appease her own mother curiosity -and Cindy would know she has not seen Caylee for 31 days -  so Casey was probably confronted and then said she was "looking for Zenaida" in clubs - terrible excuse - but that's probably all she had - she had to think quick

I believe he did confess to Cindy and Cindy helped cover it up by destroying the known evidence. The problem was Cindy may not have known about all the evidence and certainly can not remove technical evidence.

Well if she followed the actions that I think a # of us think she did, she is nuts.  I suspect she had knowledge and carried that baby around with her for awhile, that's why her mind is in la la land.  If you look at her actions, her plan, she thinks she's smarter than everyone, she thought it all out, it couldn't have been an accident, but than again she tried to call her parents first, the flurry of calls, maybe she thought if they bought it everyone else would....

The grandparents of a 2-year-old Orlando, Fla., girl who is missing and feared dead are former Trumbull County residents, as is their daughter, who is suspected in the child’s disappearance.

The disappearance has been covered extensively by the national media.

George Anthony, 56, and his wife Cindy, 50, lived in Howland before moving to Florida in 1989. The Anthonys also have a son, Lee, who also was born in Warren.

Anthony was a Trumbull detective from 1974 until 1985 and left the sheriff’s department at that time.

Their daughter, Casey Anthony, who was born in Warren in 1986, is suspected of involvement in the disappearance of her daughter, Caylee Marie, who has been missing for more than a month. She is in the Orange County jail in lieu of $500,000 bond and is charged with child neglect, but police suspect foul play. She also is charged with making false official statements and obstructing a criminal investigation, according to a report by The Associated Press.

Officers said the trunk of Casey Anthony’s car smelled as if a decomposed body had been inside, and a dog trained to smell for cadavers also led police to the trunk.

The grandparents were unaware of Caylee’s lengthy disappearance because their daughter had said nothing, according to Cindy Anthony.

Police first became aware of the missing child as a result of a 911 call made by the frantic grandmother after her daughter admitted she hadn’t seen Caylee for a month.

In the first call, Cindy asked police to arrest her daughter, but made a later 911 call to say she learned that the child had disappeared after “she’d been dropped off with a baby sitter.” Thus far, police have been unable to confirm the existence of the baby sitter, even though Caylee’s mother gave them a name.

Still, Cindy Anthony told The Vindicator on Saturday she believes her daughter is innocent.

“They’re not listening to [Casey], and they don’t believe that she refuses to talk because she is afraid that someone will harm our granddaughter or another member of the family,” Cindy Anthony said.

She also appeared on NBC’s “Today Show” and other national news programs and has been outspoken on behalf of her daughter’s innocence.

“People want to focus on my daughter instead of finding her beautiful little girl,” the grandmother said. “I do believe she’s alive and am absolutely convinced that my daughter is innocent.”

Trumbull Sheriff Tom Altiere worked with George Anthony when both were in the detective division from 1974 to 1983. He has been following the case closely.

“George was a great detective and a good guy,” Altiere said. “I knew the Anthonys well, and I’m really sick about what’s happened to them.”

Altiere said he has not spoken with his former fellow deputy, but hopes to reach out to him.

Anthony once dabbled in politics. In the 1980s, he ran unsuccessfully in the Democratic primary for Trumbull Clerk of Courts.

His granddaughter’s third birthday is Aug. 9.

so the body is somewhere nearby - she is telling the truth there - but where??

and it is recoverable as Casey was expecting it to be recovered.

I dont think she killed the baby on purpose either.  But maybe she was in bed with someone at her parents house and the baby got killed.  They hid the body.  Then when she went to the apartments and saw the name of Zanny on a piece of paper, she decided to go with that story.

I've had one thought cross my mind...maybe Casy put Caylee in the backseat of car...not carseat...ran back in house to get something...Caylee got out of car...was behind it when Casey ran back to car...jumped in and ran over Caylee...she panicked...threw Caylee in trunk and took off.....just a thought...

she was going to use those pictures as part of her alibi. She would say something like... look at me, I had no idea... how could I go out and enjoy myself while my baby was missing - and people would have believed her.

i hate to say this but i bet casey is missing a suitcase or a duffle bag...she probably thought of little Caylee as luggage anyway...how else would she move her around....wouldnt there be more dna evidence in the trunk if she didnt "swaddle" the body?

I am sure cops probably already know by now, I'd think.

That's what I believe as well.  I also think Casey figured Caylee's body would have already been found. 

That sounds really plausible Destiny.  I was wondering where the blood could have come from. 

my sister ran over her cat in the driveway about 10 years ago... it was sitting under one of the tires and she got in and drove off and smashed the cat. She didn't do it on purpose, but accidents do happen - who knows what happened here ... Casey could have touched the girl with a car

Ya know Des, that's really a plausible theory.  You may be on to something. I believe the initial reports of the fluid found in the trunk stated blood. That to me would indicate an injury. You wouldn't find blood from just drowning. So, if we go with the initial statement that there was blood found in the trunk, we can assume there was some type of injury.

You know if you didnt plan on having a baby and you just wanted to party and have fun then you were doing something you shouldnt be and you backed over the baby with the car, the baby you didnt really want around, how guiltly would you feel???

Yeah, I'm still not sold on the pool either, I still think it has something to do with that car.  I bought a stinky used car in 05, it was from Florida I think it was in flood and smoked in, it took months to get the smell out of it. Does anyone know if a child seat was recovered?  Another off the wall question, was Caylee potty trained and would a dog smell a soiled diaper as decomposition?  I read on the 13th juror site that the dog hit on the rear passenger seat as well as the trunk.

those that want to body found

Casey seems to want the body found by her own actions before she came under scrutiny. She was indeed setting up some sort of hodge podge of an alibi.

If in fact something happened on the 16th, it was raining that day. I think that would rule out the pool. It would also limit how Casey disposed of Caylee. I don't think she'd be digging in a storm or a downpour.

Destiny, I think this too could be possible.  But again, it would be an accident requiring a 911 call.  Unless a parent is under the influence of drugs or alcohol making them unfit to safely care for a child - an accident
would not normally include charges of any kind.

If the stain in the trunk is blood - does anyone know the the size of the stain?
If an attempt to resusitate a drowning victim is made - resulting in injury - could that case blood seepage?  Mrskub or anyone else, would you know?

Cindy stated in an interview that the shoes and boots were still in the car when it was impounded.

if my daughter had just accidently drown, first i would try bringing her back to life, 2nd i would call 911, and 3rd, i would probably lay down and die from grief.

Seems that way but the only Mike I could find a connection with was Walker. But I agree to me it sounded like wallace. I did find a Mike Wallace that goes to UCF he's a football player that now plays for the Jags. (If I remember that correctly, all my notes are on my other computer). Being that he's a big hotshot football player and they like to club.. Could that be the connection to Tony?

I haven't seen the size of the stain mentioned anywhere.

Proper CPR should not cause any bloody discharge. With that being said, I don't know that Casey was trained in CPR. An untrained person could possibly cause damage that would result in blood loss I suppose. It's a longshot though.

Court officials opened the courtroom at 1:30 p.m. More than 20 reporters filled the benches along with a dozen other onlookers, including some from the State Attorney's Office.
Orange Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland just entered. We're waiting for the defense attorney, Jose Baez, who is not here. Casey Anthony is sitting along at the defense table. Her family is not here.

Baez is here. It's starting. He's looking for his first witness but doesn't see the person -- one of Casey Anthony's parents. Baez says he just saw them downstairs.
He tells the judge he has three witnesses.

Cindy Anthony takes the stand. She starts to cry because she has not seen Casey since she was arrested. Casey Anthony also looks as if she is crying.
Cindy Anthony has gained composure and is answering questions.
When she confronted Casey about Caylee, it was around 7 p.m. and says Caylee was with babysitter. She had been with Casey for an hour and half before she tried to alert police.
She called Orange County Sheriff's Office around 9 or 10 p.m. that night. Casey Anthony heard her call deputies. Casey did not attempt to leave the house.
Deputies seperated mother and daughter when they arrived.

Cindy says deputies took Casey shortly after midnight Tuesday. "This is the firs time I have physically seen her," she said.
Casey did call the house that night  and requested a phone number from her parents.
Cindy describes her daughter as her best friend -- after her husband. She spoke to her daughter almost everyday before this started. She had no reason to doubt Caylee's whereabouts.
Cindy believes either she or Casey's brother can help Casey get to the "bottom of the truth."
And Casey should be released because "she had not committed a crime," Cindy testified.
"Casey has not done anything. There is no evidence she has done anything," Cindy said, adding she would pay for the bond.

Prosecutor Linda Drane-Burdick is questioning Cindy Anthony now. She asking about how much equity the Anthonys have in the house to help post bond.
Cindy says she will find a way to pay the bond. She hasn't thought about other assets the family has to get her daughter out of jail.

Drane-Burdick questions mom about whether the family has defaulted on any financial obligations.
Defense objected but judge allowed prosecutor to continue.
"It's painful it's relevant," the judge said.

The prosecutor questions mom about where Casey works. Cindy says an event planner at Universal Studios and Hard Rock Cafe -- possibly as a subcontractor.
Cindy replies that she has learned from the cops that Casey did not work anywhere.
Casey told mom she worked as an event coordinator for about a year but, Cindy has never seen a pay stub. Cindy does give her money at times. Parents buy groceries and stuff. Casey doesn't have to do anything but provide spending money for herself, Cindy says.

Prior to Caylee's birth, Casey did work at Kodak and then Color Vision at Universal Studios, Cindy told the prosecutor.
She knows that because family did not pay for Caylee's birth.
Mom keeps saying she has not slept or eaten and keeps getting dates wrong.

Cindy tells the prosecutor she thought the last time she saw Caylee was on June 9 but now she says it was June 15.
"Casey and Caylee were living with you at that time, correct?" the prosecutor asks.
"Yes," Cindy says.
Both in Casey's bedroom at the Anthony's house. After that, they did not stay at the house.

People will be able to watch her or "Casey-sit" if Casey is released from jail, Cindy says.
Casey is sitting at the defense table listening. At times, she is wiping tears with a tissue.

Casey's dad, George Anthony, takes the stand. His voice cracks. Casey starts crying more.
He says he is willing to do anything to find Caylee. He has cooperated with law enforcement, George says. Baez - Casey's attorney - is asking about the night deputies were called.

George talks about how Casey and her brother have a close relationship. She may tell him things that she would not tell her parents, George says.
And, George says, he can ensure that his daughter would show up for any court hearings.
Lawyers are done questioning Casey's dad.
Casey's brother, Lee Anthony, is on the stand now.

Lee tried to keep his mom from calling police because Casey appeared to know where Caylee was located. He thought he could talk to Casey and the family could get Caylee in the morning, Lee explainsed.
Baez asked if Lee thinks he can get Casey to tell him things that will help in the search for Casey.
"I have no doubt in my mind," Lee said.

On the July 15, Casey maintained before Cindy called authorities that she knew where Caylee was and she would take family there in the morning, Lee told the prosecutor.
Before deputies arrived, Lee said he pleaded with sister and that's when Casey told him ---- "I have not seen my daughter in 31 days."
At the defense table, Casey is crying again.

Detective Yuri Melich is on the stand now.
The prosecutor is asking about Casey's car - a white Pontiac- that was registered to Casey's father.
It was recovered at Amscot - a check-cashing business - on Goldenrod and Colonial.
Crime scene investigators have the car now. There was talk about a smell in the car, and that's why cops seized the car.  The smell was decomposition, Melich said. They are trying to find out why the car smelled that way.

Here's what cops have found in the trunk of Casey's car so far:
Hair that appears to match Caylee.
Dirt.
Questionable stains that show up under a black light.
The Anthonys say trash was left in the car. On Thursday, investigators got the trash from George Anthony and are still investigating whether it's the source of the "decomposing" smell. It has not been determined yet.
The detective testified that he believes "the two smells are not the same."

So far, the detectives have not found anyone who has seen the child since June 15. Cindy Anthony was the last person who could confirm seeing Caylee, Melich testified.

Cops have spoken to someone who says he heard Caylee in the background of a phone call on June 24 or June 25, Melich said. The caller was on the phone with Casey when he heard Caylee. At one point during the call, Casey told Caylee to "get off the table," Melich said.

Casey's attorney asked the detective if Casey ever requested an attorney before her arrest.
She never did, Melich said.
Baez also asked if the detective has had any breaks during the investigation or has been on vacation. Melich says yes -- but prosecutor objects to questioning. Baez then moves on to another subject.

Deputy Jason Forgey is on the stand now. He is a dog handler. His dog, Gerus, is trained as a cadaver dog.
On July 17, Garus was used to search Casey's car for the smell of human remains. He alerted to the vehicle -- he jumped into the trunk.
The dog alerted to the odor of human decomposition in the trunk.

Gerus and another cadaver dog both alerted to smells of human decomposition in the Anthony's backyard, Forgey testifed. That's one reason why cops began digging in backyard.
But no body has been found yet -- Baez points out.

Baez -- He says the judge needs to look at the law. The laws says she is entitled to a bond. She has no criminal history and it's the state's burden to prove she would not show up for court or that she has physically harmed her child. There is circumstantial evidence that a homicide may have occurred. But cops don't feel confident enough to charge her...They should not try to use the court as punishment and figure maybe she'll crack under the pressure. The court needs to look at the crimes she is charged with and allow her to have a bond. She could hold the key to finding her daughter.
It seems the opposite is true. It's saying if she lets me out

Drane-Burdick: The prosecutor is asking to hold her on a bond that is high enough that it would ensure her appearance before the court.
Cops would prefer her to remain in jail on no bond.
The state is requesting more than $500,000 and to restrict her ability from "galavanting about the community" and remain on some type of confinement.
Baez: He is requesting $10,000 so the family can afford the bond.

Judge Stan Strickland set bond at $500,000 plus he ordered her to have a GPS devise attached.
"I don't think I can please anyone," the judge said.
Casey is crying as deputies escort her out of the courtroom.
