I got a Christmas card from my soldier today........he did it himself...it's beautiful.... am so excited!!

 

Thanks Sunny~as a mom (I hate the word stepmom as I love B as my own) of a soldier in Iraq, I want to say thank you! You have no idea how much the soldiers appreciate anything they recieve, even just a card to them saying "I am thankful to you for your service to our country", my oldest is in Kirkuk and I try to keep him stocked in goodies foe him and goodies to give the children over there, but more than anything they appreciate the fact that someone takes the timew to send a package or a card.

IM, please let your son know we so grateful to him for serving to keep us free...he is a hero and so is his family. And I will pray that he stays safe.

YW and I will tell him, but in their eyes it's people like you that are their heros, people who go out of their ay to bring a smile to their face when they receive a card or care package from someone back home.......I must say I am so proud and worried at the same time. I have been lucky enough to be able to talk to him at least daily on skype (until his laptop died, but I mailed him a new one ASAP),because just being able to see him and know he's ok makes my heart overwhelmed with joy

I am so glad you are able to talk to him...that has to be a big help getting through him being gone. I am always excited to talk to my son and he is just 1/2 mile away...so I can imagine your joy!!

Did you ever try to find a garden gnome in MO in the winter?  If not...don't!  My rather eccentric SIL put this on her Christmas wish list...I have called every place I could think of. Found on one online, however they can't guarantee delivery until after the 1st of the year.....so I think I am going to have to give her a gift card for it.....and I really don't like gift cards!!  LOL
