The suspect’s 23-year-old girlfriend has a blog on MySpace named after her and the suspect. The suspect is engaged to be married, according to a blog posting on the couple’s blog dated May 25. At the time, his fiancée described her mood as “giddy.”

The post was on a public section of the page that suddenly was changed to private around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/lab_technician_eyed_in_slaying_IpfKv663TTNxJxoTRWlBaJ          This pic of him, his eyes are really creepy

Fancy!  He worked alongside his sister and her husband that morning.
Says girlfriend is lab tech as well, but did not say where she works.

A real family affair with all of them working at the same place. And excuses already being made regarding the scratches and failing the poly.......Got me wondering........
I'm wondering also, and surely one can tell the difference between a cat or human scratch I would think. I have an uncomfortable feeling about where this guy is, he has enough family to help him escape.

Not only that, but what if this whole thing had something to do with their jobs or something like that. Maybe Annie knew something.....wish we had the autopsy to know if there was a sexual attact involved or not.......

Yale lab technician eyed in slaying

By AUSTIN FENNER and PERRY CHIARAMONTE in New Haven, Conn., and KATE SHEEHY, DAN MANGAN and JEANE MacINTOSH in NY

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut — Yale lab technician Raymond Clark, 24, has emerged as a person of interest in the probe into the sensational slaying of brilliant university grad student Annie Le, sources said today.

Cops descended on the apartment building in which he lives with his girlfriend in Middletown, Conn., about 20 miles outside of the university campus in New Haven, keeping it under surveillance and pulling over cars arriving and leaving, questioning drivers.

Earlier in the day, police officials said an arrest was "not imminent" in the case. But a state official later said authorities have a "person of interest" but they do not have a suspect in custody.

A source close to Clark’s family confirmed to The Post that he was the person who failed a polygraph test administered by authorities and that he also was the one with scratches on his chest — two key points that law-enforcement sources have made about one person they are looking at.

"He did not pass the polygraph test. ... But of course, they don’t always run true anway, especially when you’re nerved up asking so many questions," the source said.

The source added that, "Of course, he had scratches on his arm — from his cat."

The source said Clark, who the family calls "Ray Ray," had been working at the university building that morning along with his sister and her husband, who also are lab technicians. Clark’s girlfriend is a lab techie as well.

"But [Le] left the area before he left that morning," the source said.

"He’d seen her and said hi and kept on going. ... He really didn’t know her."

The family "is very upset," the family source added.

"I know he didn’t do it, but I can’t understand how anybody would do that in the first place and put her in the wall like that. And they would have had to do it at night because certainly nobody could have done it during the day when everybody was looking."

The source added that Clark was engaged.

"They are saving to get married," the person said.

Le’s body was found over the weekend in a chute filled with cables in the basement of the building, where she was conducting experiments in the lab.

She was last seen Tuesday morning.

Le was supposed to have been married Sunday to a Columbia University graduate student on Long Island.

Okay, I have been trying not to post questions, but this is one I probably don't want to know the answer to, but I will ask anyway.

What kind of animals exactly are they researching with? Rats, cats, puppies, monkeys

Reason I am asking, could he use the scratch marks as saying a monkey attacked him? Just thinking what his excuse could be, but failing a polygraph and being missing that doesn't jive well with that excuse. TIA JSM

Annie Le Case: Botched Investigation?

Annie Le Case: Botched Investigation?

By LILY FU
(MYFOX NATIONAL) - The basement of the laboratory building where Yale graduate student Annie Le's body was found remained open for five days after Le was last seen, leading some to criticize campus police for not closing building access sooner.

The Yale Daily News reports that last Friday -- three days after Le's disappearance -- two of its reporters walked through the front entrance of the building at 10 Amistad St. in New Haven, Conn., showed their ID cards to a security guard and took the elevator down to the basement to collect information. They reported seeing FBI investigators who said nothing to them.

Up until Sunday when Le's body was discovered in the walls of the basement, the case remained a missing persons case. But law enforcement experts around the country argued that the building should not have remained open.

One more JSM question, have we learned if this was the "creepy" guy that opened the door for the lady and she saw blood stain on his clothes? Just asking, I'm sorry if my questions have already been asked.

I think I read in one of the articles that the lab contained rats & mice.  I think I read his fiance had a cat.

Hi  - not to worry, still a darn good question.
I read earlier that the animals they worked with were rodents (yuk I hate to even type the word) most of them mice.

Yale University says the friend will speak at 7pm at Woodbridge Hall. No family members will be in attendance and the friend will not field questions from reporters.
