I just KNOW some of you monkeys are going to know this --

Who was the tourism guy in Aruba who later went to Florida, Palm Beach I think?

(Recall that he acknowledged to Beth at some sort of confab that yes, there had been a cover-up.)

Wonder what he has to say now. He ought to be fired. Nothing says STAY AWAY FROM HERE like covering up the murder of a tourist. (Just my humble opinion, but can we get on that?)

Onward. I had a thought about Joran's coffee run. In several references to it, a time was given - 8:10, I think (but I have it saved somewhere). I *infer* such a precise time means it's from the camera stamp.

A reminder re. Joran's $$ - One of the reasons Chili gave for "expelling" Joran was lack of sufficient funds (no idea what is considered "sufficient" but it sounds like they knew how much money he had, including bank account).

Police will be able to figure out exactly how much he spent on travel after he left the hotel. Also whether he had any poker winnings - don't casinos keep up with that?

Peroxide is also used to get blood out of clothes.

And to pour on wounds. His wrists did look roughed up in some of the photos after his capture. BUT - might have been caused by handcuffs rubbing, though. (He was wearing cuffs for a very long time.)

Interesting that he was wearing long sleeves and pants when they caught him. (Keeping in mind that winter was coming on there, and the farther south he went, the colder it would be expected to be ... )

Just so many possibilities, things to mull over.

One thing I'm sure of: Police are probably being very, very careful - because of Mr. Flores, the international angle, and high profile.

OH - I think what we're hearing about exumation - I think what Mr. Flores meant was simply that she wasn't creamated IN CASE further testing needed to be done - not that fingernail evidence etc. weren't collected during autopsy. Gotta keep remembering that translations aren't always precise and media reporting, especially on the fly, doesn't always connect the dots correctly.

Klaas, this article just infuriates me.  How in the world would anyone use Renfo as a source?  The worlds biggest slut becomes a reliable source?  Unreal.

IF that's true, my guess would be that the lawyer is Bert de Rooij.  He and Paulus were schoolmates at Tilburg so they go wayyyyyy back.  He was mentioned as the "family lawyer" in some articles.  From my understanding he is a criminal lawyer.
