I'm really furious at the attempt by the defense to nameKathi B. as a defense witness.
I hope the Judge chews them up and spits them out.
The 2 of them are such morons and together they're the clown possee.

Despite the fact that she has investigated this case on some very key issues she is no different than any other reporter doing the same.   Are they going to call Holly regarding the "Cindy & Casey chase" the day she was indicted?   Are they going to call the Local6 reporter whom in the beginning found the Zeneida to interview that is now suing Casey?  Are they going to call Phil Keaton who noticed Joy Wray "stalking" the Suburban Drive crime scene after the remains discovery?   Are they going to call Geraldo Rivera whom seems to sympathize with the Bozo & helped put forward the defense's show of "they wont let us examine the crime scene?"...you'd think the latter would go toward their ridiculous argument that the remains were put there after Casey was incarcerated.

Anthony’s lawyer Jose Baez said the TV reporter has relevant information to the case, and he plans to file a response Wednesday explaining to the court why he's adding these late witnesses.

I believe this is the "I'm telling my mommy" defense strategy.

 

I’m trying to remember , the duct tape on a poster at one of the money collection sites the Ant’s and Kidfinders set up was the same as found on Caylee. If I recall Belich had something to do with breaking that story. Wonder if Bozo will try to tie that in to her being a witness of some sort? Seems he will do anything he can to keep her from covering this story…….

I wonder if the question Baez asked HHJP in court, concerning the prosecution's expert witnesses having to talk about certain subjects in their depos, or not talk about them during trial, has to do with some piece of the penalty phase or the trial itself.  Despite JB responding to the contrary, I believe he has something nefarious up his sleeve based on that question.  He is going to get someone to testify to some MymomiscindyanthonywhatdidyouthinkIwouldturnoutlike disease or some other thing, and then not let the state counter.

Loca, thanks for all the links.  I just thought of something.....does anyone remember way back when when Baez outted K. Belich's real name?  How come he didn't use that name, instead of Belich, in his new witness list?    Because that is her journalist name, so to speak?  Does it even matter, lol?

I remember that Tupelo.Blink was posting with us IIRC.

WFTV-Channel 9's Kathi Belich is one of the most aggressive reporters in town.

So she's bound to come in for some needling. And Casey Anthony's attorney Jose Baez did the honors today.

When Belich joined a group of reporters, Baez told her, "You're screwing up everybody's sound bites."

Later, he asked Belich if her name is really Gallagher.

She said she didn't understand his question. Later, she asked: "Has your private investigator been looking into me instead of Casey's case? Why are you asking me the question?" ::snipping2::

It most likely doesn't matter at all, just something that popped into my head and I couldn't think of the name.    Baez and Chaney have it in for KB, just because the truth hurts, I guess, and will stop at nothing to "get" her.   What chumps!  I believe they are showing their true colors....what we see of these two, this is what they are as human beings. They are low-life, amoral, juvenile, and they use their profession as a tool for their ways and get paid for doing so.  They disgust me.   

So very true. unless they have some valid reason it an abuse of their position. Who better than a lawyer(s) can make your life a living nightmare? Baez has used this case for his own personal gain and now Mason has stooped to his level of corruption. KB intimidates Mason so since ethics aren't a concern to either of these attys., they'll intimidate her. Amusing themselves with knowing that she and her employer will have to pay to fight this and we've seen many times how Baez and co. use their impromptu press outings as a way to malign innocent people, it stinks.

In addition to breaking the story about DC & JH in the suburban woods in November of 2008, prior to Dec 11th.  The report about Kidfinders itself & DM criminal past, ya know the day he attempted to assault her.  There are a few things that Kathi either reported first or was present reporting on major issues regarding the case BUT as far as "relevant information" that would help the defense...they are bluffing, and if they are not bluffing they have some sort of twisted version of facts to attempt to tie her in so that she is excluded from the court room during trial in whole or in part...its a vendetta & completely juvenile.  My post before this one brings up another point so I wouldnt repeat it.   Whether Kathi Belich is in the court room or not the facts of this case & what happens at trial is not going to change one bit.    Even if they did establish that she has something to testify to, its doubtful it would prevent her from being present in the court room for the rest of the trial.   For example, the Anthonys will be testifying but I bet they will remain in the court room for the rest of the trial as witnessed by other high profile cases via being televised.

Hubs and I are in Orlando..last night we went by the A's house..it was dark so we couldn't see a whole lot. It was very tidy.nicer than I had expected.  No one was about at the house that we could see,,no lights on inside or outside.  Made me sad to see where Caylee lived. I am going back next week during the day to see it better..busy the rest of this week or I would go sooner..

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Judge Belvin Perry approved the spending of moretaxpayer money for Casey Anthony's defense Wednesday.

Anthony's defense requested $136.30 for a transcript of a Nov. 3 deposition of Dr. Michael Sigman, who specializes in forensic trace analysis.

Anthony was declared indigent in March. A state agency now doles out funding for her defense. Requests must follow the Justice Administrative Commission's price guidelines and be approved by Perry.
