So call me stupid, but if the defense is trying to prove her innocence, why do they suddenly want her evaluated to determine if she is emotionally/mentally competent to continue in her trial?
This is just another bozo-duh, right?

I thought if a Defendant is deemed mentally incompetent then the dp can't be on the table? I think the Defense is scrambling.

I admit I'm only half-watching this testimony as I get ready for our Fourth of July party...but let me just ask one question: was there or was there not a hair from a decomposing body and "decomposition fluid" in the trunk of Casey's car? Because that is really all anyone needs to know.

Another stall & maybe an excuse as to why she may or may not be taking the stand.   They didnt have a snowball's chance in H E double hockey sticks to meet this legal standard.

I like how Furton says "We published" when talking about a student's dissertation. Just like he did in the Frye hearing.

Psychologists Determine Casey Anthony Mentally Competent

http://www.clickorlando.com/news/28367148/detail.html

Quote
One of the psychologists, Dr. Ryan Hall, was interviewed by Local 6 in 2008 about his experience with studying women who have killed. At the time of the interview, Hall had not interviewed Anthony.

Death penalty expert attorney Ann Finnell filed a motion Monday morning calling for a new trial and a new jury. The current jury is "death penalty qualified," meaning they said during jury selection they could impose the death penalty if Anthony is convicted of first-degree murder.
Finnell's motion requests a new trial with a jury who has not been asked about their ability to impose the death penalty.

If it is revealed there is a Kronk/Anthony connection ... it does not further Jose Baez' allegations that George had any involvement in the happenings encompassing the demise and disposal of Caylee.

The implication is that George and Cindy learned the location of Caylee's remains and were withholding this information from investigators.

According to Dominic Casey ... the Anthony's PI ... Baez' instructions to him were to contact him ... not investigators ... if Caylee remains were located.

Janet

I remeber there is a picture of George crying close to the woods were serchers suppposed to search for Caylee the next day...I do not remember the date...but it was very suspicious....

I think Lee Anthony needs a competency hearing as well.

Has he ever had a real job?  I mean like one an adult would have? He is not working or not working much, not enrolled in school.  Basically he seemed to have been lolling around the house playing video games with his blue eyeshadow when Caylee was born so maybe that's why he was not invited to the baby shower.

Finnell talks to George before court proceedings today

"Let's do lunch?"

No, Anne, I am not going to say I had my Pe___ in KCs mouth.  Sorry.  Maybe Lee will.
" I shop at The Men's Wearhouse -- maybe we can find you a suit like mine when you testify."

I came to this site "late" and don't know all the players.............I just NOW realized Finnell was a woman!  I thought "she" was a"he"

I know - she reminds me of Coach Beast (sp) on Glee.   Not sure if it's a man or woman.

From Dr. Hall's 2008 interview....

Quote
Local 6 News investigative reporter Tony Pipitone interviewed Lake Mary psychiatrist Dr. Ryan Hall, who has not examined Anthony and could not comment to her specifically, but he has studied women who have killed and their motivations for the killings.
"You have to look at the motivation -- why they're doing -- why they think they have to (kill their own child)," Hall said.
Psychiatrists focus on five general reasons, Hall said.
*Altruistic, which was explained as the person doing the child a favor.
*Psychotic, when the killer is having hallucinations or delusions.
*Accidental, which usually result from abuse.
*Revenge, getting back at someone, usually a spouse or the child's parent.
*Unwanted child.

I would much prefer them having to stand on the outside ledge of the courtroom with the lunchtime "Hawk of Justice and Truth," I have a feeling none of them would make it back inside

I agree Anna.. and I also believe that maybe the Accutane side effects made him worse

What a waste of time and money. So she wants a jury who doesn't believe in the death penalty.

I'm not big on conspiracies either, but I do think there is some kind of cover up involving Dominic and Kronk.  I just think either Baez or the As knew Caylee was in those woods and were trying to find her without looking like they were trying to find her.

I just can't figure out an explanation for Kronk's numerous 911 calls.  It's just suspicious to me. I think he was "paid" or to be "paid" (rewarded) for finding her remains.  I do not think he put them there or moved them or anything.  Just found them (after given a clue).
