Grand daughters cell phone is acting up. So I told her we would take it to the store and see if they could figure out whats wrong. She has an iphone. I found a local apple store and called to make sure that daughter didn't have to be there to look at it etc, I got a rude awaking. You can't just take your phones in. NO NO you have to make appointments. The first opening was Monday evening. I thought WTH. Then they tell me to try the other store that's only 50 miles away and see if they have any openings.  So I tried calling and they tell me we don't make appointments over the phone you have to do it on line. So after about 40 minutes later after I had to reboot because their site froze my computer. We got an appointment for 7:30 tomorrow night. OMG you would think the end of he world is here to listen to granddaughter how she has to have her phone and what am I going to do. 

I just can't believe that you have to make an appointment. 

  I have never heard of that before, but maybe with an iphone. I swear that I don't even know what an iphone is  And then to go so far away to have it looked at    Oh yes I can believe it is the end of the world with her phone acting up, I've seen it here at my house how some get with phone problems.  Wonder how we existed when we were young? I think we managed quite well without all these fancy dodads.

Ya we did just fine. I was reading that college freshmen think Beethoven is a dog and don't know anything about Clint Eastwood and his Dirty Harry movies. Makes me feel as old as dirt.

  Well of course Beethoven the dog. We sat through that darn movie in this house so many times

Northern Rose it looked like he could hardly walk.  I loved that the red airport security truck guy ran him off the runway. 

I'm sorry and then with the heat    Now my headache is better this afternoon, but now I'm experiencing bad heartburn  it is time to put this old body out to the pasture

I got so desperate and confused on Kyron's thread that I went to clean toilets. I believe the fumes opened up my sinuses

I hate dealing with cell phones and computer issues.  I hope you get her phone fixed GreenEyes it might be in your best interest they fix it fast or else 

I am hoping they can fix it soon. She has been using mine to text her friends with. But I have a regular phone nothing fancy.

  It is so smokey here today that the street lights are on.  I thought we were getting smoke from the over 200 fires in BC right now but find out on the news that the majority of this mornings smoke is coming from the peat moss fires is Russia. 

The air is really thick outside and it is making it hard to breath. I can not imagine how people with respiratory issues are coping right now. 

Hi Northern!  That sounds awful, how long do they burn the peat moss for?  I can imagine if it is thick that it is would be hard to breath.   

The fires is Russia are out of control and have been for a while and have gotten into the peat bogs.  I have no idea how long they will burn for as they are have not gotten them out yet.  I wish a picture could capture how thick the air is outside.  The sun is brownish orange and the street lights are all on. 

Wow,that sounds spooky.Pictures would be cool.
I saw an article somewhere about the climate in Russia right now.Dagnabit ,I'll have to see if I can find it.

They stopped him and nabbed him.  Once he started driving down the runways they got serious real fast.  So now he has federal charges as well for the airport driving. 

I missed the live action,but it was exciting reading your posts.

Wow - we went out swimming and saw the storms. My sis called to borrow a movie and said we have a tornado warning. According to the tv we are having tornadoes all around us!  One time I did not take my cell out to the pool. Good thing it missed us as a direct hit!

OMG Cookie!I do not blame you for being so upset.Always complain,do not ever let pain like that go.
I had an uncle who died while in Germany.Infection from dental work which spread into the sinus cavity.   
Sometimes you feel like the professionals do not listen to you. 

OMG how awful Trimm for your uncle. That is scary.

4 Donks..he was very patient and he hardly ever complains but I can see it in his eyes when he doesn't feel well..he went back and forth to the dentist and the doctor and neither could find anything..the periodontist had a fancy prancy x-ray gadget that can literally do like a 3D of your teeth..that is how he found it..wish hubs would have done this sooooooo long ago..I was ready to pack his butt off to Mayo clinic to see what the heck was wrong with him...hopefully we are on the road to recovery now...

Wow, he sure is patient, and how he hardly ever complains with a headache for that long. But I have to say years and years ago before the kids were born, I had a headache that literally lasted a year. They did tests, and one of the tests was putting little needles in my head and testing God only knows what, while I slept. Went through all this BS to find out I had stress headaches. Heck I could have told them that without all the tests  After awhile you just more or less get use to the headaches, like they are a part of you. That is why now when I get headaches for days on end I panic because don't want to go through that again. But now when I get them it is all sinus headaches, you can just feel it in the nose and ears and forehead.

I guess I've been lucky and really haven't been sick. Well there was that pesky little cancer thing but it didn't make me sick and I never got sick with the chemo . The only discomfort was the 3 surgeries but nothing bad. I would be nuts dealing with something painful for a full year

Didn't have time to get sick..Had to take care of the property and my dog..had dense dose so had chemo every other tuesday and would drive from Birmingham to St Petrsburg once a month to take care of my husbands estate. I guess if you are distracted by other things you just do it I had the same chemo as a close friend and it made her so sick that 3 days after her treatment she would end up on IVs in the ER from it...So sad

4 Donks, when my Best friend went through chemo she really didn't get sick, just mouth sores days later. Luckily our doctors paid her even though she didn't have time off. She wanted to work because it kept her mind off of things too. Glad you are doing well.

Report: the training trip has been slightly educational and highly entertaining so far. the high point was getting dressed up like two very rich ladies of the 1880's and having our picture taken at the fair. Oh, did I mention we were holding rifles? LOL! We're gonna put that pic in our office, with a little sign that says "Don't mess with the Prosecutor's Office". Our boss will love it!

I had to get up at 3 am to put my boss on da bus home, eh. Ya, shure was early! I feel sorry for her, but she can sleep

I am very upset over this, and what Lindsey's friend was telling the police. A ten year old should under no circumstances be on a computer talking sex with an older male. For Heaven's sake, I swear on a stack of bibles that at ten I didn't even know what sex was. Let's say even at 18 I was as naive as you get  I could have been on Little House On The Prairie except for the fact I drank and smoked   

    Talking sex at 10????? WTF?????? I guess I really led a sheltered life too No Rose. I guess you and I were in the same boat. No sex at 18, just drinking and smoking.

Hey Mission!   

Hubby just called and he just got through going before the judge to finalize his workman's comp.case.
No more case worker.   
Now we wait for another disability hearing.....that will be like mud running up hill.

But the good thing is this has cut back on so much stress and worry.My Tinkeye can totally focus on my property.   

Glad no more caseworker, hope the disability hearing goes well. Keep that Tinkeye on the property

Morning Monkeys.  Work as now allowed me to get in here    Looks like I need to head over to Lindsey's thread huh?  I hope everyone is ok and NoRose I hope you get to feeling better 

Hope even with all the work, your day is going well    Thank-you, the headache is moving around and am using my nasal drops.

That is the bear about sinus headaches, they move all over.  Keep using those drops, you can't OD on those!  The Lindsey thing makes me sick.  In this day and age with all the technology parents must be parents and damn good at it or I am afraid the consequences are dire.  I remember when my daughter was younger and the computer was really coming of age. We were extremely cautious about how much time she spent on it and she was never allowed a computer in her room until college.  She had to use the PC in the den off the kitchen and trust me it was strategically placed there for a reason................lots of traffic going by that room.   

Mission, ITA about computers, but now cell phones with video/photos that parents can't monitor are even scarier. There was a skate guard at the rink that had been kicked out of 3 parochial HS (now I know why), she said see that guy over there, I said yes, she said look what he sent to me on my phone. Lets just say I was 42 years old and was totally shocked!!!! I turned red and couldn't look at that boy in the face ever again.
