IMO they sat on their asses and tried to figure out how NOT to prosecute the case more than doing so. That little bit of pipsqueak new evidence Mos rode in with represents 9 months and 5-10 million dollars worth of effort? What a pile of horse shit.

For 5 to 10 million, you would think they could have searched the ocean.

They should send the bill to the SLOOTS!  They should also quit whining about it, since the corrupt prosecution, justice department, and judges are the reason the "tab" is so high.
