I am off to go lay down. I am really feeling lousy and daughter is having her friend sleep over.   I hope I am not contagious with anything.

CBB - I'm not making the fruit salad, one of our Aunts is.  All I made was the potato salad and chili and I'll cook the corn.  My husband is in charge of the BBQ.  Will be at least 2 hours before any company arrives and I'm almost ready

The local news did nothing but report how Firework sales were so low due to the economy.  Well, not in my area. 

It seems everyone has them!!

So far it has been very quiet in my neighborhood.  Every year one or two regular houses shoot off a massive amount of fireworks.  Nothing so far which I am glad because my oldest dog is shacking in her shoes.

Ours was a wash-out.  Rain, tornado warnings, heavy rain.  I cooked all my vegetables (fried corn, green beans, cabbage, yellow corn bread, fried apples, new potatoes) but didn't get to grill out so no meat. 

Hope everyone had a good one.

PT, the kids and neighbors just came in from out on the boat.  They said they kinda stunk.  The grand finale was like 3 minutes long.  But they agree, the homes on the river have so many fireworks....and those stupid loud ones.

My dogs are all nervous now and No one will go outside and go potty!!
