FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Allen County Sheriff's Department has called a news conference for 10:30 p.m. Monday to update local media on the disappearance of the missing 9-year-old Aliahna Lemmon.

In an email to NewsChannel 15, police called the news conference "very important." It will be at the department's detective bureau at 12325 Lima Road. We will have the latest information from the news conference as soon as it breaks on wane.com and on NewsChannel 15's Nightcast at 11.

The FBI has now joined the search for the missing Indiana girl. It has been said that missing Aliahna Lemmon has physical and emotional problems. Also and even more disturbing the mobile home park where she  was staying is known as a haven for registered sex offenders. What better place for a 9 year old little girl to stay. How does anybody allow their children to live around so many sex offenders, many considered violent sex offenders. Just curious, so why is the FBI involved?

Note:  That the FBI does involve themselves in cases if children are missing and possibly kidnapped, with no known interstate transportation. The FBI will initiate a kidnapping investigation involving a missing child “of tender years, 12 years old or younger. This would lead us to believe that authorities are not buying the “sleep walking” stories.

I'm having a problem with the babysitter going out at 6 a.m. to get a cigar.  He had been asleep on the couch and he didn't notice that she was not in the chair?  People don't wake up and look straight ahead and go out.  Sorry, something smells with this story.  The grandmother on nancy Grace sure stood up for him.  I wonder how he did on the poly?

I agree.  I don't hold out much hope for this child.  I just hope they find her and arrest whoever harmed her.

Grandmother: Missing girl may have sleepwalked away from neighbor’s home

According to Story, 9-year-old Aliahna and her two sisters were staying with a neighbor, Michael Plumadore, while her mother recovered from the flu. Aliahna suffered from night terrors and Plumadore was up for much of the night comforting her, Story said. Around 6 am, after she fell asleep, he left his mobile home to go buy a cigar.

When Plumadore returned, he believed all of the girls were still sleeping. He went to sleep and woke up around 10, at which point the 6-year-old sisters told him Aliahna’s mother, Tarah Souders, had picked her up. Story said that miscommunication between Plumadore and Souders led to a 10-hour gap before anyone realized Aliahna was missing and they called police around 8:30 pm.

1.  Why does a 9 yr old child suffer night terrors and is she under the care of a counselor for this as she should be?
2.  Why would another child tell the guy that mom picked up sister if it wasn't true?
