Good morning monkey friends - I hope there is more than one "expert" on the stand today. My son came home last night and asked who else testified and when I told him only the bug guy he said WTH - poor bug guy. We have the big graduation party today so I will be in and out but I appreciate all the updates!

There was only one "expert" on the stand yesterday, which was the bug guy. And what a long day it was.  But just think how much mileage Jeff Ashton got out of it!!  Not only did he make mincemeat out of the bug guy, but it also allowed Ashton to hammer home other significant details to the jury.

who Is the Most Insufferable Talking Head?


Let’s face it: this trial has brought out some of the biggest dingbats in talking head history. Listening to them argue the most nonsensical defense theories imaginable leaves my brain feeling like that dotted high school wall. You know the one.

So who is the worst of the worst?

Shrill Shoutress, Wendy “don’t confuse me with the facts” Murphy.

President of the Defense Team Insanity Brigade, Jane “the louder I whine, the more convincing I must be” Weintraub.

Agreed - as someone that has spent lots of time in court rooms and hanging with attorneys - I was amazed and pleased with what was left of bug boy when Jeff got done. He is an incredible attorney and Caylee is well represented by him. I look forward to the day of the judgment of GUILTY of ALL counts for KC!

I just cannot get over how Casey sits there day after day, completely composed, listening to discussion on how her child lay in the woods decomposing with bugs eatting her up.  It doesn't matter which side is correct on "how" the bugs got to her, the fact is they did and she just sits there in la la land.

I wonder how the jury is taking all this in.  She pays more attention to the attorneys than she is this case and the witnesses. 

I would be scared chitless!

The bug guy made everyone here in my home angry. Especially when he smiled before he said that little bit about Dr Vass not being an anthropologist by his understanding...and then Baez smiled all smug, making himself look even more weasely. Bug guy was painful to listen to, but wow oh wow oh wow, I've been impressed with Ashton before but after his beating of the bug guy...I am blown away!! 

What a beating the duhfense got!    MORE PLEASE!!!!
