TEVYE Figure skating is on right now. Just started.

Sorry for bugging off so rudely, SIL called, a certain GD will be three next week and a  party is about to happen next Sunday. Even hearing her in the backround babbling made me really happy. I have to go, take care everyone and take care of those you have in your lives right now.

I'm replying to you with your own words, from your post above this one:

Those "Somethings" speaking to you are kids! I'm doing what I'm doing so next summer, I can still climb trees (our youngest granddaughter will be ready for those lessons) and teach the older grandsons how to look at a slide with blood on it and draw it (finally remembered that I have to make the slide BEFORE they get here, and use the blue dye stuff) and drive from Alaska to Mi with one son,  and paint the outside of my house...oh,yeah, and find a job using this fine new degree I'm working on, a job with bennies so there'll be something left for the kids and better insurance for DH and me.

(But for now, in my mind, I spend a lot of time traveling in Northern Rose's photographs! You should try it, I take my grandsons with me a lot, you'd be amazed at how well they behave...in my head! LOL!)

  And I will bet you will accomplish all that.

I would like to say something about the situation in Haiti.

When you see the buildings that have collapsed, look real close. There is something missing in those buildings, than what you would see in the USA and other countries.

There is NO rebar in any of those buildings, just concrete. They are buildings that weren't built for stability. You may have already thought about this, but I just thought it was worth mentioning.

When you see the buildings that have collapsed, look real close. There is something missing in those buildings, than what you would see in the USA and other countries.

There is NO rebar in any of those buildings, just concrete. They are buildings that weren't built for stability. You may have already thought about this, but I just thought it was worth mentioning.

And why is there no rebar in Haiti? Why, because the Duvaliers (or however you spell those ratbastards names) Papa and Baby Doc, needed new cars and houses and guns and gold. course, we probably gave them the money to buy the rebar, but.....

I sat out in the living room and watched in on the new tv. I finally realized why I just had to have a 42" tv..it's an Olympic year!

And the skating was GREAT!!! too bad we have to go online to see who goes to the Olympics...must be there's still some politics involved. I thought they took care of that....

Hi No Rose. It is awful. I had a good skating day. It wasn't long enough today, but starting this week I will skate Tuesdays and Fridays at 5:30 pm and then our class has changed from 10:30 on Saturday to 9:30 because the ice is so crowded at 10:30. I only have a few weeks to get my new program ready.  I really think I may just scratch out of the second event, but my coach won't allow it.

Trimm, I know you're sidekickin' it this weekend, but guess who the musical guests are on Saturday NIght Live? The Ting Tings!!! I haven't watched that show in years, but I'm gonna stay up and see if they play my most favoritely annoying song!!

Oh you can bet Tevye there will be politics in the pairs team. I think John and Rena should make the team, even though they came in 3rd. The committee looks at how each skater or team did in the other competitions along with their placements at Nationals and sometimes they give a bye to someone if they have been hurt. (aka Michelle Kwan for Torino) she didn't go, because she bowed out gracefully and let Emily Hughes get a chance to go.

It is worth the money if you don't get cable or coverage in your area. I think Canadian Nationals are next week and I don't know if Icenetworks covers that, or I would definitely pay the money.

  Wish I had a new tv, I had to put on my glasses and still couldn't see it all. Rewatching pairs right now. I thought they were going to have mens and pairs short program on Universal sports. Also, flipping back to the Saints game.

Tevye, I saw they were going to be on SNL tonight.

Sad news, I can't skate my ribbon program to Adagio for Strings. It is too slow. I told my coach I would skate to that Ting Ting song, she was like WHO? I said never mind. She always wants me to skate to fast music, there was her chance.

YEP, I have gotten big since vacation. If I could just grow about a foot then I would look good for my weight.
