hey everyone I watched the hearing & a few things resonated resoundly

A)  Lyons is full of hot air more than she is brilliant.   While she spent 20 minutes too long giving her opinion & attempting to assert her opposition to the death penalty into the State of Florida and in the minds of anyone that dare disagree with her view that it should not be applied no matter how heinous the crime(s), surprisingly she was not as sharp, articulate & case law based as many feared she would be.   She did not even refer to her jury study by name nor presented those statistics in black & white - nor did she cite any murder cases where a jury's decision could apply to any or all of her points...bottom line I felt it was weak & will be denied.  The other glaring reality regarding the "Amazon" is clearly she has a love for the dramatic yet is out of touch with reality or decency.   The way she orchestrated that boo hoo fest with Casey was EXTREMELY transparent & on cue.  (PS I overheard Bozo instructing Casey while Lyons presented their act of deseperation).  I'm sorry but for her to state "the State is seeking to kill my client" and not give one pause as to this mother not giving one second of regard before killing her daughter (as she knows did indeed take place) tells me that this woman is a delusional bison who just happens to have an academic brain which has offered her some success in life.  This may seem harsh to some but personally I hope she enjoys the company of those she defended in H E double hockey sticks.

B)   Body language from Casey, anxiety ridden & exhibited signs of deception in addition to bringing back the "poke eye make ya cry" manuever...her tears were extremely rehearsed & while a few times she did seem upset without act it was very obvious it was for self reasons ONLY not having anything to do with grief, remorse or love for Caylee...not in the slightest -- this girl is an absolute sociopath.   Confirmation of preplanned reactions was her parents walking out of court when Ashton was making its State prosecutorial argument...in my view this is yet again antics we've seen & just the tip of the iceberg of what we should anticipate through trial.

C)   I near fell off my chair at the onset of today's hearing when Lyons asked Judge Strickland how he was & he replied "just sitting on a rainbow."   During the hearing the main vibe I got from "Stan the man" was that he was indulging Casey's defense the opportunity to represent their client but was not swayed.   His comment "do you expect me to reinvent the wheel" was an indication that we can expect denial rulings.

D)  Ashton was riveting & brief in his comments but extremely effective, in the process he gave us a glimpse into what will be argued as to how Caylee was murdered & with no hesitation I say, by her mother.

But I have to pause today for the very reason why we are all here...the murder of a precious beautiful babygirl by an evil selfish mother.    Caylee, there is not a day that I do not think about you and all the children that have been mistreated or fatally harmed...be at peace with your angel friends & in God's safe arms, justice will be done in your name

Another high point was when Judge Strickland said KC would receive the same punishment as anyone else in the check fraud case if found guilty.,..which can included jail time. And said that no matter whether it was a plea deal or a trial..it would take place BEFORE the murder trial.  JMO but I think he was clearly telling JB to plea it out!!
True, but I felt he emphasized 'someone without prior charges' which would mean to me she would get a light sentence or pay restitution and time served.

possibly....but she will still be felon when the murder trial and that's enough for me.....
Exactly.  I'm with you on that one.

Seeking Justice for Caylee

« Reply #863 on: December 11, 2009, 12:28:02 PM »

So was anyone impressed with Lyons performance today?  I guess I expected a much smoother presentation.....she is almost as bad as JB with the ummms, ahhh and errrssss
I must say I was quite surprised at what a lack of professionalism so to speak - she would say things like "You know" and she would stumble on her words - for someone who is supposedly so experienced in arguing death penalty cases she seemed to me anyway that she was out of her element.

Casey Anthony Brought To Tears At Hearing

ORLANDO, Fla. - A prosecutor delivered a vivid description of how Caylee Anthony likely was killed during an emotional court hearing that left Casey Anthony in tears several times.

"As the killer looked into her face, maybe her killer even saw her eyes as the eyes as the tape was applied," prosecutor Jeff Aston said during the hearing, which ended at 11:45 a.m. "First one piece, then two, then three so no breath was possible."

The description came as her attorneys argued whether Casey Anthony should face the death penalty in connection with the death of her daughter, Caylee, whose body was found a year ago today.

Hi Folks!  Lurker since the the very beginning.  Wanted to get your thoughts on my observation.  Not sure if this was already discussed... desperately trying to catch up.

Did anyone else notice Casey's reaction when Mr. Ashton stated the possibility of Caylee being chemically restrained?  Casey looked infuriated as if everything he was stating was true and that one piece was untrue and how dare he make such an accusation?  Baez quickly stopped her as if to say cool it.

By the way, you guys are awesome!!

I noticed that she clearly was getting pizzed.  My thoughts were that she was mad that she was outted.  No more secrets so to speak.

Yep........ that mouth was getting puckered and she was pizzed! I wondered if Baez didn't cue her to turn the tears on.

Yes she looked like she did in the jail visit she had with G and C when she got pissed.

If she doesn't like what the state says happened then Casey you can tell what you did.

Thanks for all the pictures and updates, much appreciated.   Landon WELCOME     It amazes me how Casey can cry and then turn ugly mean with a scary look on her face, she can turn on a dime. Quite frightening.

That last picture coincides with the precise moment all clocks in the courtroom stopped.

My computer screen wept from fright.

I was so happy when Judge S said Casey would not be treated differently and the Trial WILL happen before the criminal case.  Merry Christmas from Stan to Bobo!

Me too, why else would he fight so hard against talking to the prosecution.  I believe he knew Caylee was out there.

Reposting the link where Casey gets emotional................... pizzed and then crying. Also, You can see Cindy file out of the courtroom followed closely by George. There's actually a parade of people leaving.

Hope to see you again soon, Landon!

Bozo is on HNL playback with comments after the trial - attempting to make us feel sorry for his murdering ho ho ho

O PS everyone did you see him on Whoraldo in Miami with hoochies dancing in the background?   He was commenting on another case & was attending a party with reportedly some elite South Beach movers and shakers - it was hideous, comical & offensive combined.    Whoraldo had the gall to refer to Bozo as a "prominent attorney" I tell yas I spit my coffee on that one!

Wow...those pictures of Cindy look awful...looks like she hasn't slept since coming back from her cruise!
I hope she hasn't - I hope visions of Caylee make her toss and turn.
