Update on Thomas, my daughter's cat. A lovely older couple whose daughter is a vet, is taking him for a couple months until my daughter and her husband find another place to live. They just lost their cat, and told them they can come to see Thomas whenever they like to.  I'm so relieved, because I really didn't want to bring him here because of Zoe and my allergies, and then I would have felt guilt if the allergies got out of hand and if the two of them would have fought.....

They just said on FOX that if you have stayed at the Radisson Hotel your should check your credit cards.Somebody hacked their system.

Update on Thomas, my daughter's cat. A lovely older couple whose daughter is a vet, is taking him for a couple months until my daughter and her husband find another place to live. They just lost their cat, and told them they can come to see Thomas whenever they like to.  I'm so relieved, because I really didn't want to bring him here because of Zoe and my allergies, and then I would have felt guilt if the allergies got out of hand and if the two of them would have fought.....

Good news.At least you don't have that worry.

When the weather cools off,there will all kind of critters out here.   

We are in Northern Minnesota and this time of year they start moving around - I am always so thrilled when I catch a glimpse of even just one of those critters - I will love to see an armadillo!

Biden: Stimulus saved 1,600 jobs in Orange schools
Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan praised the federal economic recovery package Wednesday, saying it had saved more than 1,600 jobs in Orange County's public school system alone and thousands more across Florida and the nation.

Speaking at Jackson Middle in Orlando, the two called public school teachers the key to improving the country's economic situation and said many already do excellent work.

But they also said that President Barack Obama's administration isn't interested in maintaining the status quo but instead wants to use the unprecedented resources now available as part of the recovery act -- some $100 million in new money for education -- to push for unprecedented reform.

They want the dropout rates lowered, college-success rates increased and the struggling schools that never improve closed or reinvented.

"We've just go to get a lot better," Biden said.

That's okay, my question was how long was Robert being beaten? I think it was longer than just one day. Blink was suggesting there will be another arrest.

The way I read it, it seemed more like over a period of time. Probably there was older bruising they found in the autopsy.

I'm great JSM - have been very busy this summer with lots of camping and family events - I have no complaints....this may sound strange to you but I am almost looking forward to fall and cooler weather so my life slows down and I can sit on my azz a little more

Hi Lovinlife - We do like hockey - we have friends whose kids have played it thru the years and got us hooked on it.  I think Northern Rose is in Canada - we are about 4 hours from the Canadian Border in North Central MN - Brainerd Lakes area, some have pools here that they turn into hockey rinks in the winter lol.

I'm relieved. Minnesota, beautiful I'm from Wisconsin, living in So Cal, hate it. Fall is so wonderful back there.
