Just trying to be ready for tomorrow in case the Red Cross doesn't work out.

Wendy's Value Board has - Burgers, Jr bacon burgers, fries, nuggets, side and ceaser salads, crispy chicken sandwich. There may be a few different kinds of burgers.

I am thinking order for 70 people. Get 70 fries and 75 different other things @ 99 cents = 143.55 - 10% = $129.19

That is just an example....could be more people could be less....we could get less fries more other stuff.

It would have to be picked up....I think no problem there. As you can see....10% discount. They will have it there by noon.

What do you all think????

It sounds like you have a winner there.  I would stick with sandwiches from the value menu though...its hot here in FL and the other things offered on the menu are things like chilli and baked potatos.  The 99 cent salads and chicken nuggets might be good though.

Right....Misitx5 suggested salads. Let's decide what NOT to get. I don't know what else is on the 99 cents menu except what the manager said and I think she was going off the top of her head. She told me a few more thing on the value menu but they were over 99 cents.

If someone will, see if you can find everything that is 99 cents.

Just spoke with Nicole at Red Cross. They are deluged and under the barrel with the storm. However, she stated that if we were willing to pay, they would handle all the work and get the meals to TES every day as long as we want them to. She is calling me back within the hour on prices (which will be at cost. there is no profit).

I told her to price it at about 100 sandwiches per day, no beverages and with the option to increase the number if necessary.

Anything else I need to ask? Is this something we want to do?

What does it mean to do a bump of a topic?  I'm not familiar with much of the slang or abbreviations on many boards.  I also want to apologize for swearing in my last post two days ago.  I don't even know how it slipped out but I have zero respect where the kalpoe brothers are concerned.  Please do accept my apology.  It isn't usually my way to curse but they, joran and cindy do make me show my worst side.

Poor little Caylee deserves so much better than she is getting.

Just responded to Brian with Gale St. Johns crew and directed them to go to the command center tomorrow morning. Hope that's okay.

I am sure it's ok! But I was a little confused what it was saying....I think I have mushy brain syndrome   

Who wrote it? And they wanted to know if it was OK that they went to the command center?

 

Gale St. John as you all know is the dream lady with the cadaver dogs. Brian is her coworker who has a website where people post their dreams and stuff. Gale sent Brian a message to tell everyone that if TES needs her help, she has lots of volunteers, dogs etc. and they would be glad to help.

VOLUNTEERS SEARCH FOR CAYLEE'S BODY Tuesday afternoon, volunteer search crews were trying again to find any sign of Caylee Anthony. Monday, investigators admitted publicly to Eyewitness News that they believe Caylee is likely dead.

"We understand it's a workday, but we do need as many people as we can get out here," said EquuSearch Deputy Director Mandy Labritton.

It's day three of the search for Caylee, led by Texas search and rescue team EquuSearch. The area of interest on Tuesday was International Corporate Parkway near the Beachline Expressway. Marie Chalabi, a criminal justice student has volunteered for three straight days.

"How much longer will you be out here?" Eyewitness News reporter Gustavo Almodovar asked.

"Whatever it takes to find Caylee. As long as they're here I'm here," responded Marie.

The groups said that they haven't found much, a few animal bones and the front bumper of a red car. The number of volunteers has dwindled from nearly 200 on Sunday to more than 100 on Monday and only 40 on Tuesday. The lack of interest may be due to the fact that detectives with the sheriff's office suspect the missing child isn't alive.

"The community has ill-will toward the family and doesn't realize that this is actually a search for a baby. It's not an investigation," Labritton said.

Organizers plan to keep searching for Caylee until the investigation is complete or until she’s been found. They're pleading with church groups to encourage their members to get involved.

Hi all...this situation with the people in Orlando rejecting Caylee's need for help because of their anger with Casey, Cindy and George is really hard to wrap my head around! I have been trying to think of some way to actually REACH them, make them THINK about what they are doing...or I should say NOT doing. Here's what I came up with.

A letter "from" Caylee...in a little girl's words, asking for help. If you all see any possibilities in this jump right in and make changes and corrections, add to it, delete from it, whatever it takes. And maybe it's just a shot in the dark because I am desperate to make the folks of Orlando realize just how sad this has become because of their refusal to help. It's probably not anything that will actually help, but it's worth some thought anyway.

Here it is, so far:

Hi…My name is Caylee Anthony. Something bad happened to me and now I'm lost, and some nice people are searching for me, trying to find me. I am sad though because my Mommy and my Gramma and Grampa have made lots of people mad and so now they won't help look for me, and won't even help the nice people who ARE looking for me with things like water and food, or that smelly stuff that makes the bugs stay away, and they need these things real bad. So I wanted to talk to all of you to see if I can change your mind and maybe you would decide to help too.

I'm only 3. I'm lost and I'm scared. I want to be found. I don't want to stay here where it's cold and dark, where there are lots of scary things around me. I don't like being alone. It wasn't me that did the bad things. It wasn't my fault that this has happened to me but because everyone is mad at Mommy and Gramma and Grampa they won't help look for me, and so I have to stay here where I'm afraid, and lonely. Please…for me because I can't help myself…will you try to forget that you are angry at my family for a while and come help the people who are working so hard to find me? Please? If there were more people searching for me I am sure someone would find me, and then I wouldn't have to be afraid anymore. That would be so very nice, and would make me so happy! And if you can't help to look for me maybe you could do something nice for the people who are, and bring them some food and bug stuff. Money would help too cause they need lots of things like ice and something to drink, and they have to pay for the rooms where they sleep. They are searching for me even when they don't have these things. When they run out of them they don't stop looking for me, they just keep searching and do without the things they need. It's very hot out here, and the bugs are very bad. And these people are trying so hard.

I really am a good girl, and I love everyone. I love you too even if you can't come look for me but if you could it would be a very nice thing for you to do because I am really still just a little girl, and I'm lost. And I'm afraid.  And I want to be found.

If I could I would give you the biggest hug ever!! But I can't. But I would, I promise. Please, will you think about helping to look for me? You can be mad at my Mommy and my Gramma and Grampa later. Just come find me first okay?
