C: YES

S: Is Haleigh being passed around through different people?

C: Yes family type people. I will put it this way, law enforcement does not think a stranger is involved in the abduction.

S: Do you know who has her know?

C: If I did I would be hugging Haleigh right now not here with you.

S: Who has custody of Ron Jr.?

C: Ron Cummings has physical custody of Ron Jr.  They live at Ron’s grandmothers in Welaka, Florida.

S: Do you think Ron Cummings is who he portrays himself to be for the media?
C: NO

S: Do you think Crystal Sheffield is who she portrays herself to be for the media?

C: NO I don’t think any of them have clean hands.

S: Are Nay Nay and Amber still part of the investigation?

C: Never were. I helped them by trying to get them into rehab to better themselves, but they have reneged on it.

S: Did you ask Ron to go back to the house for another look?

C: Yes, he initially said ok. It was planned for the following day. By that time he had lawyered up. And told me that anything you need you can talk to my lawyer about.

S: Is Ron out searching for his daughter?

C: Hell NO

S: Out of curiosity how much has your search for Haleigh cost you?

C: To date approximately $35,000

S: Are drugs a factor in Haleigh’s disappearance?

C: Ron allowed Misty to care for Haleigh and Jr. after days of partying on drugs. So yes drugs could be a factor.

S: Are you getting opposition from the local commutniy?

C: Yes  but I have some support.

S: Could there be charges for Ron and or Misty when Haleigh is found?

C: Whoever did this needs to be charged

S: Has Ron ever helped you in your search for Haleigh?

C: NO

S: Has Ron ever thanked you for searching for Haleigh?

C: NO

S:How close are you to finding Haleigh?

C: Thats on God’s time table, I pray every day.

S: Is there anything you would like to say to the haters? I call them my fannery.

I am sure I speak for many people when I say thank you for sticking with this case. If my kids were missing I would want Cobra searching for them.

Has anyone heard anymore about the house that Ron was supposed to be getting???  Remember, when they were in the tents, someone offered him a home with 3 bedrooms, and he refused, as wanted one with 4 bedrooms.

Was this supposed to be a donated house...fully paid, or just a house to rent??

I haven't heard anymore, and since he moved to GGSykes, guess the deal fell thru.

I thought I heard he was buying it, maybe the people wouldnt sell it to him when word got out just like the preacher wouldnt Marry him..........I dont know, never heard anymore about it either!

I haven't heard anything more about that, but maybe the wedding or tattoo or other rumored behaviors canceled the deal.

Thats right could have been a rumor, who knows, some can make up rumors and it is fine and some can just give opinions and get called out on them everytme, Its getting hard to keep up with what has actually happened and what has just been said by someone, Thats why I wish LE would give a press conference and put all the rumors V/s the truth out there for everyone to see!!!!!

 San Mateo - On May 6, 2009, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Drug/Vice Unit and the Florida Highway arrested a 38 year old San Mateo man with trafficking in cocaine. The investigation was initiated by a traffic stop on Highway 17, in San Mateo. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Gregory D. Holsey. During the traffic stop, Holsey exited his vehicle and fled on foot, only to be apprehended a short distance away. After his apprehension, it was discovered that Holsey was in possession of sixty-one (61) grams of powder cocaine.

Gregory D. Holsey was charged with trafficking in cocaine and transported to the Putnam County Jail. He was booked into the jail without benefit of a bond.

With the Cobra "interview", this is a very interesting statement.   I am wondering if he means "family" as in a real family, or if he is talking about a drug family...or a gang family, or what he is referring to here.  Any ideas?? Not a stranger involved in the abduction?  Then are they focusing, or considering the cousin of Misty's as still a possibility? Why is Ron and his family not out trying to find any information on who may be involved, whether they know them or not.    I will tell you that I think that Ron and Misty's family are all a worthless piece of s--t!! I would cross the street not to pass them.   I have never observed, a more self serving, lower class of people in my life.  Has nothing to do with money, just VALUES.

Missing girl case not cold, investigators say

They wouldn't talk specifics about Misty Croslin, Haleigh's babysitter that night, and now her fathers wife.

They have interviewed Misty about ten times and will only say there's problems with her story.

Won't do any good Maven, she is a typical teenager, who sets back clam's up, and shrugs her shoulders..   I remember those days well, Mr. No body and Mr. I don't know, lived and wreaked havoc in my home when my girls were growing up.

Interview with Ron and fibsty..

1. I notice Ron's neck looks stiff
2. Fisbty stated she got up to go to the bathroom and did not make it and then she went in to the living room and seen the light on...
3. Ron stated he pulled up and notice Fibsty was up and was wondering why/ I though Fibsty called him and also how did Mother Teresa get there so fast after Ron stated he got their @ 3:30am.. Mother Teresa arrived there alittle later.. It takes @ least 20 minutes to get to their home...
4. Ron states someone could of picked the lock? I guess that why LE took the door 1 week later after their stories and  the inconsistancies.. ...

In another interview, they both claim the bedroom door was open that night and ron stated that the kitchen light was so bright you could see it from the bedroom.  LE took the screen door, the one that was blocked open..  The walk through of the house, and the solid back door is a trip.. She lets the screen door close and it slams shut, the solid door remains open as long as she is standing there, she moves towards the kitchen and the door automatically closes..

Haleigh was hurt that evening in the care of Fibsty whether it was because Haleigh peed the bed or did not want to go to bed.. Haleigh was taken away by the Cummings family until Haleigh injuries cleared up.. Ron would of had to answer questions from the school, Crystal , DCF and also could lose both children.. How still have questions going through my head ..When did Mother Teresa arrive @ the home.. Was she there earlier and left to make it look as though she just arrived that night after the police arrived...
Now that immunity is offered will Haleigh be brought home.....

Also the way the beds are situated why didnt Fibsty notice Haleigh was not in her bed.. the bed is 4ft from their bed.. The first think you would see when she got up on the bed would be Haleighs bed...

Yes I agree.. If I came home i would be screaming and yelling where is my daughter.. Also in that article it said that Ronald pulled up to the place where Haleigh came up missing to see if it had been rented yet, hmmmm    why would he do that, is he afraid the new tenents might find something?   there has to be a reason, if he wanted to know if it had been rented all he had to do was call the realtor, hmmmm    the clock is ticking for him I think.....tick   tick  tick....

Ron pulling up to 202 Green Lane or into the drive, he may be on a lease that someone is trying to hold him to in this economy. If not rented they should be liable for the rent in my town. Most people help the landlord rent them. Not a fan of RC, just a maybe it could be to check if the mobile had been rented after an invoice or statement from the landlords. Nite. xxxooo

Silver Springs is probably what your reading about, I just looked at a google map and it's just across the Ocala National Forest from Satsuma, Doesn't appear to be far and they may have been closer to Satsuma and used the Name of Silver Springs because it's a larger, more popular, or more well know city.

One reason I though of, they are into so much muck, drugs, accused of robbing a drug dealer, her party times, knowledge of the little king pin underworld of that area, fearing revenge..  Haleigh's disappearance compounded all of the issues.  ron's instinct was that someone broke into the house and took Haleigh and it was revenge.. I would like to hear him give a complete detailed statement on why would anyone want to revenge him??  And why was that back door open a setup with him and short elevator?  Why he didn't really demand,  or maybe he did and they are covering that up... So many  lies and so many different issues.  This drug, and prostitution and domestic, and charecters involved in this mess it takes on a totally different world and absolutely clouds any ability to look for Haleigh in a direction that she actually may be, and the reason why she is in that direction and was taken.  With ron and short elevator already guilty of all the grap they are into, yea.. they have things to hide.. scratching off layer by layer and the roaches keep coming out.  Problem is, instead of being able to look at a Missing Child Issue with Little Haleigh,  LE, Cobra and anyone else involved are out chasing the roaches running all over the place.  They claimed that Crystal filing for custody, caused a major problem with the search for Haleigh..  After what we have seen so far with the world of ron and short elevator.. no one can doubt that something could or would happen to the children, lost in the midst..  So, why is it impossible for the thought that Crystal already knew things, and then more things came out.. And she realized, that little Ron had to be gotten out of there fast..  That's the reason for the Custody.  Hey, if I were her, I would have done the same thing.. Can't blame her for not wanting her son being taken care of by short elevator anymore.. a druggy.. who we all know the truth about now.. What if Crystal learned about it right after or Before Haleigh went missing??

I think the rumors vs the truth is what is keeping LE mummmmm.  Releasing info would definitely put a hamper/glitch into this investigation.  What we call rumor, possibly LE has it down as TRUE, and these are the curves that may lead to Haleigh.

I know patience is a virtue but like everyone else....my patience is running on SLOW SPEED.

Good morning monkey friends.  We all have heard the various stories Misty has given about that morning Haleigh went missing.  With this in mind, I think the answers are right there with her, or her and Ronald. There would be no other reason for for more than just the truth and the truth does not change.  So I tend to think cover up. I met Johnny Weismuller when I was a kid, as I loved the show. There are still some monkeys that swing free there in the area, left over from the 60's filming of the show.

hey thunderbunny, what island have I missed??  And I can vouch for the military using the ocala forest for bombing purposes. My 93 yr old aunt still lives there in that forest , and it is all quiet there, like you can hear a pin drop, then all of a sudden those jet fighters come over the tree tops, then you hear the BOOM !! I can tell ya, it will scare the tar out of you.

HOW could there be NO BOND AMOUNT?  Yet he's out.  I took ten minutes yesterday and asked my governer, senators and the general attorney to make stricter laws for these people.  I hope someone, somewhere will realize our children are hurting.  I know our jails are full of drug dealers and possessions and manufacturers, but these that hurt children are the ones that need to be in jail.  I say FINE THE DEALERS OUT THE WAZOO (if we have to make space) if it means putting people away that hurts children. THIS IS CRAZY!  Whatever might have happened to that child, whatever this clown did to this child, they only kept him in jail long enough to p*ss him off!!!!!!!  If I were the child, I'd be scared to death of him coming home.  This alone is enough to make me want to call this jail and ask them just what the hell they're doing in Putnam County!!  <GROWL>

The state Department of Children and Families continues to review abuse allegations made by the mother of Haleigh Cummings regarding the status of Haleigh's younger brother, Ronald Cummings Jr., who lives with his father.

"The investigation is still going on," John Harrell, spokesman for the DCF in Jacksonville, said. "We have been given information and we are continuing to investigate."

Ronald Junior lives at his great-grandmother's house in Welaka with his father, Ronald Cummings, and stepmother, Misty Croslin, after his 5-year-old sister vanished from their South Putnam home in February.

Crystal Sheffield, Haleigh's mother, retained Fort Lauderdale attorney Kim Picazio to help with the news media shortly after her daughter's disappearance, and Picazio has continued to represent her in the DCF investigation.

"It's not about Crystal, it's about the state of Florida looking into if Ronald is a fit parent and whether or not Junior is in a safe home," Picazio said. "And yes, they are still evaluating that."

Harrell said that though the investigation is continuing, the DCF would not remove any child from a home unless they were in danger.

"The department's first priority is child safety," Harrell said. "In any situation we would not allow a child to remain in a home if they were in danger, but that has to be determined."

Attorneys for Ronald Cummings, Greg Kimball and T. Jerry Snider, deny abuse occurred and say the child has a stable family environment at the grandmother's home.

"Right now, Ronald and Misty are living with Ronald's grandmother, who is providing a stable home, and the DCF is fine with that," Snider said.

Cummings continues to look for work after losing his job as a crane operator, Kimball said, adding he and his law partner anticipate a child-custody dispute would be initiated by Sheffeld if the state doesn't act.

"It's still very possible that they will go to the courts now," Snider said.

Picazio, Kimball and Snider all said they were working "pro bono" or without charge.

Picazio declined to say whether a custody case would be filed in court.

Cummings's attorneys said that if the case did go to court, DCF information would be considered as evidence, but both sides would have to provide witnesses.

"The threshold is not only the best interest of the child, but when you bring that petition you have to allege that there has been a substantial change in circumstances," Snider said.

Meanwhile, authorities say the investigation into Haleigh's disappearance is continuing.

Haleigh was reported missing from her Satsuma home at 3 a.m. on Feb. 10. Despite a massive search and criminal investigation, no trace of the blond-haired kindergartener has been found.

Capt. Dick Schauland, spokesman for the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, said Thursday detectives are still working the case.

"There have been more than 4,000 tips reported, and they are still following up on tips," Schauland said. "It's still going."

Mills was found dead in the front yard of the daughter’s home in Pomona Park. Investigators believe he was shot while interrupting a burglary.

I spoke with Lt. Johnny Greenwood at length this morning to see where the investigation is at this point. The quick answer is that they have received over 4,000 leads and have interviewed over 300 people so far.

One thing I discovered today is that most of the men and women investigating the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings are parents, too.  One could easily believe that beyond their jobs, they might also be invested in this case on somewhat of a personal level.

On HLN:

Mike Brooks says sheriff's office has been doing a good job. He thinks they still may find her alive. He says LE is smart in not releasing info. Says LE is trying to get to the bottom f Misty's inconsistencies.

TJ Hart just reiterated his article. That LE is working the case with vigor still.

Nothing we monkeys do not know.

Kim Picazio on the phone, says they are passing on leads to LE.

Mike Brooks says you need probable cause to arrest Misty, and that maybe they (LE) are just waiting it out to see what happens. Again, nothing we have not discussed here.

I told him of one account passed along to me that involved a couple from Europe who came into the area to pickup their grandchild shortly after Haleigh vanished. The tipster thought they may have been in town to “buy” Haleigh. I was told the couple would be easy to find since one of them was reportedly bitten by a monkey while in Putnam County.

Greenwood did say that a person in the area was indeed bitten by a monkey, but didn’t say much about that story beyond that. And honestly, I understand why he didn’t.

I asked Lt. I can’t believe Cobra would say Nay Nay and Amber were never part of the Haleigh investigation. Makes me wonder if the blogger misunderstood, unless it was taped. Was it? If so, put it up, let’s hear it…And if that’s wrong, raises questions about the rest of it…

I don’t know what police were telling him, but my police sources always wanted to grill Nay Nay –and did before Cobra bonded her out and immediately after she was brought back. All know she drove Misty on her last party weekend and partied in the same circles, so she may have heard her say something. She’s never been a suspect or person of interest, as some have misreported, but a possible source of information that could shed light on Misty and Ron’s state of mind, and other details that might provide a clue to where Haleigh is or what happened to her…Detectives just wanted her drug free and with a clear mind…that’s why they wanted her to chill in jail. What if she knows who Misty’s suppliers are? Her party MO? Or heard Misty say something about Ronald or friends that might lead to a Haleigh clue. I’d say she’s part of the investigation, wouldn’t you?

Rememer, Cobra bailed her out, and drove her and Amber around town looking for hangouts and characters who might know Misty and Ronald…He sure was using them to shake things up and information loose…

As for Amber, ex-girlfriend, mother of Jordan…she raised Haleigh for three out of the five years she lived with Ron, and Junior…she has valuable insight into the household, and told me about his allegedly abusive behaviour and gun play (”He’s crazy,” Amber told me when we first spoke). Her experience with his behaviour could also be a source of insight and clue, including people she hangs with…Anyone who travels in the same circles is valuable for investigators as they keep trying to rule people in or close to Haleigh’s family in or out…

Thank you so much Brandi :) I was just thinking of taking my canoe and going to satsuma to  have a look at that island tomorrow.  Those islands have had my attention for a while now too. 
I read earlier this morning, where someone here posted about the island, and while researching, I found a realtor listing which described  a property as this,,,
"A  small pond, a waterfall, deep water canal, with a full view of seven sisters island".
made me curious of what other views there are and how close this island is in reality.

FWIW on Jerome's arrest it is being reported over yonder that he is a "weekender", I checked and those charges do seem to be old, so I guess he'll just be in for the weekend. The other ones who came in tonight and have no bond set apparently are all "weekenders".

I have been thinking about what Art said in his post about why Granny Sykes brought clean clothes over to the house the night Haleigh came up missing, and the more I think about it, the more sense it makes...

Didn't the kids stay with her over the weekend Misty was partying? She probably washed the clothes that had been dirtied there so the kids would have something clean. Also she may have come by to check up on Misty.

They did, but I would think that most gradma.s knowing that they was gonna have the kids again at some other time would just keep the few clothes that they brought there for the next time they stayed, I beginning to think that she brought them there for another reason and also the part about Misty doing laundry, I know it hasnt been confirmed but its starting to sound like maybe they were getting her stuff together to go on a long trip.....and now that we know Ronald has just gotten a summans about all the days Haleigh had missed at school , there could be something to this!!!!

Ok I'm with you on this.  So with this senerio why would misty have said she had on a shirt that she didn't?  Maybe who ever was involved was in a rush or hurry?  Maybe there were multiple people involved and weren't paying attention good enough?  I don't know...What do you think?

And now that part about the shirt makes some sense.........It was alittle cool that night and if the persons that took her had her clothes then maybe thats the reason they took that shirt off and redressed her in something warmer, and also so there would be no description of what she was wearing....

I don't get all the clothing chatter.  Would that there was a test to determine how recently a child has worn something since I've been skeptical about everything about this case (including what Haleigh was supposedly wearing) from Jump St.

In this scenario it would make more sense if it was the noncustodial parent. That I would believe but I just don't see a reason for the custodial parent to be hiding her out?

Im with you there,   I have heard about alot of kidnappings from the childs home, but never have I ever heard about the person taking the child leaving whatever they were wearing in the home!!!

That's what I was thinking. What would be the motive? This seems like an unlikely scenario to me.

It sounds very possible to me.  Wonder why RC went back to see if the trailer had been rented.

I think we discussed this before over yonder at length when Crystal first made that accusation. Haleigh has Turners and I am sure her Dr. would give RC some type of note that would keep him out of trouble. She has been sick a lot and it would be understandable and excused absences.  I don't believe he received a "summons" but just a notice like a few other parents that were posting at that time from Satsuma.

The motive would be,   Ron dont get in trouble for the time Haleigh missed in school........he could get all the money that he has from donations.......he can keep her away from Crystal.......He knows that she is fine.......he doesnt have to worry about her constant care and Dr, appointments........there's alot to be considered,    especially if someone like a drug dealer had mentioned that they might take her from him....he just killed 2 birds with one stone........Haleigh is safely away from them.......he is getting money......he doesnt have the responcibility of taking care of her....

Maybe he was just looking to see if he left something who knows.......

Maybe that wasn't why she was absent.  I wonder what her day was like on the days that she was absent and who watched her.

I'm almost ready to hit the hay, but just wanted to remark on yours about motivation for custodial parent to snag a child.

I can imagine it if the parent was delusional enough to think that it was in the best interest of the child...like say parent got caught up w/a person (babysitter/bedpartner?) who was discovered to late to have some sleazy connections, but parent couldn't think of a way to get out of the fix they'd found themself in.

People do some wacky stuff for all manner of reasons.  I'm only imagining such a scenario. Thankfully, I've had a pretty "normal" existence.  My late Daddy used to tell me I was a bit fanciful when I was a child, God rest him.  :smt060  But imagining all the possible scenarios and second-guessing our own "normal" human motives and emotions is the only way to go.

I just think barring some "real" leads, all bets are off and all we have is our collective imagination to help bring Haleigh home.  What else is there right now?

True,,   but there is also reasons that some custodian parents would let their child get snagged if they thought it would keep them safe, if the parent themselves were messed up with some illegal activity and actually thought the child was in danger, then I would say they might think it was for the best to have the child taken!!!!

Ok a couple of questions:

* Is it dark out or is that some type of curtain, because she could have had a Dr. appointment earlier that day which would explain smileing and the what appears to be band aid sticky on her arm, which would still certainly qualify for a excused absence.

* Is that photo properties info from the actual photo or from when it was uploaded to the computer or myspace?

It was reported in an interview with TN about how Haleigh use to be in the Hospital a lot. Don't ask for a link but it was a live interview and as I stated we discussed this at length over yonder when Crystal first made the accusation. There were locals discussing the notices that are sent out from the School and one of the locals even said she had received one also. It was not a summons and not a threat of going to jail.

TN was pleading for whoever took Haleigh to bring her back in one interview where she said it was time for Haleigh's Drs appointment and that Haleigh must see the Dr every two weeks for her treatment for Turners.

If I were young, got involved w/someone w/whom I'd become intimate/moved into my abode, then discovered some scary stuff after the fact, yup I might go to some lengths to get my child out of there. 

Of course I would only stage something if I was stymied and couldn't fathom any other way to protect my child.  Given the crew I've read about there, geez who knows how their minds work or threats (real or imagined) existed and what kind of resolution they considered most effective.

I've been imagining (ugghh, that word again  :smt018) that she is safe.  I don't know why 'cause it defies logic and statistics after Haleigh's bein' missing these 3 months.

The 13 Unexcused absences tallied shown above were before she went missing. They did, however, keep records of her not in school for two weeks after she went missing, but those are not included in the tallies.

So any way you look at it, that is a lot of absences, IMO.

The majority of abducted children are taken by their non custodial parent......
Ex Deputy Sheriff- ex Marine grandpa reports abuse to DCF..........
His wife takes the photos and believes this is abuse not accident.............
Haleigh and JR allegedly have not wanted to go home recently from Mom"s weekend visits........
Say they are being hit..........
Non custodial Parent does have many relatives living in Satsuma area to keep an eye on what is going on at the MH and when Dad is gone to work.........
KP said on JVM last night that LE never searched Crystal or Marie's homes after Haleigh was taken..............
Maternal Grand Parents never seemed upset...........

Was his home checked?

A few comments about some of the postings.

Ron seen going back to the trailer ~  Not sure what the rental arrangements were, but if Ron had a lease on the place then I can see him going back to ...make sure...that the place was not rented.  There are so many 'scam' people nowadays, that for him to know for sure...take a trip there. 

Then again,  maybe he just wanted to go back to be by himself, do some soul searching and remembering the happy times he spent with Haleigh.

Misty's comments of the evening and what took place are about as solid as a stump.  Some...stay the same...as if staged or memorized.  Some...are changed.  MANY are not being uttered.

How can she be SO SURE and POSITIVE of some (3:00AM) and YET be so vague on other's (clothing).  If Haleigh was wearing the pink t-shirt that day/evening and that is what she first stated in her statement....then obviously she could not remember if Haleigh had a bath or was changed for bed.  The shirt on the floor....triggered her mind...or it proved that she was not telling the truth. 

I am sure if we could ask Misty if she was standing on both feet, that she would actually look down....

I sent this to her comments but then i emailed her and told her that scared monkeys all want to wish you a happy mother day and that one of the girls made this for her i hope that was ok

My thoughts on 'why' he married her.
Thinking back....He looked MAD...she was elated....and hadbeen given  TN diamond ring...probably the only monetary thing worth anything in this family, I truly believe TN encouraged and or demanded Ron marry her to keep him from being charged for rape or child abuse with Misty.
I don't remember seeing one picture that showed him happy about the marriage. 
JMO...but that is the impression I got when it all happened, and it's still the one I believe as to the 'why's of the marriage.
Misty may have something on Ron, I don't know, but I just can't see him marrying her for any other reason other to keep himself out of trouble.

Sunday marks 90 days since Haleigh Cummings was reported missing from her Satsuma home.

The 5-year-old's disappearance triggered a massive search and criminal investigation. It also put Putnam County into the national spotlight, often in unflattering ways, and put a fractured family's domestic issues front and center.

Now, some there months later, there are far more questions than answers.

"We don't know for sure what's happened, but we do know that somewhere down the end of the line there's going to be some type of crime involved," Capt. Dick Schauland, a spokesman for the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, said Friday.

Aside from general statements, authorities have refused to discuss what their investigators have uncovered.

"We also have to maintain a criminal investigation and we have to maintain the integrity of that," Schauland said. "Should we be able to release something that would help us locate Haleigh we would certainly do that even if it would compromise the criminal investigation."

Since February 10, 2009, I have written numerous stories on the abduction of 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings from her Satsuma, Florida home where she lived with her father, brother and 17-year-old babysitter-now-stepmother.  I've also appeared several cable TV news shows and broken a ton of related stories on the airwaves of 97.3 The Sky in this missing child.

In the midst of the horror of knowing a child is missing and following on searches into places where this child might be, I've stumbled across some very sad stories as it relates to some children and their parents these days.  I've seen close up what drugs and an empty soul can do to people and the hell it brings down on their very own children. The picture is too ugly for words.

My faith in humanity was nearly gone until I was introduced the other day to a very special woman who has made it her crusade to save the children of these kinds of households.  This angel on earth takes care of eight children each day. Most of these children come from homes where the mother has either been incarcerated or is too far gone on drugs to care their own flesh and blood.

What I was refering to was the time Cobra picked up Nay Nay at that pink house and took her to jail (revoked her bail) TJ was there covering it not Art... Last couple times while watching JVM instead of Art being there its been TJ Hart...Just found it "different" because before it was Art Harris at the way. He hasnt been posting anything "new" unlike TJ Hart..I dunno maybe its nothing..just was thinking it was weird

I say behave to my grand daughter when she goes home to her parents...just so that she doesn't get scolded by her mom or dad...I can't stand to see her get into trouble, even if she has been naughty...I don't say it for any other reason except that I don't want to see her get scolded no matter what she does! I still am unsure about her story of dropping by that night, I don't know why she would lie, and I'm not even sure if she did, it just took a while for that story to come out.

Does anyone really believe that Misty could not handle Haleigh herself? some think that Misty did severe harm to Haleigh...but yet  she calls Ron when Haleigh misbehaves? Im guilty of this.... Everytime I drop my 10 yr old daughter off at friends. grandparents,girl scouts and other relatives...I always say behave...It automaticly comes out right after i say i love you to her.

I wasn't going to post this cause it's OT ... but when I was 16-17, I babysat for my cousin's little boy... he was four, and he had a mouth like a sailor  ::MonkeyShocked:: I had him for just about every day and night during the summer and in the afternoons during school time. I had tried "time out" and everything I could think of to make him stop using "bad words", and one day I told him the the "cursing cops" were gonna come get him.... couple days later we were outside and he said "oh sh*t", and within seconds we heard sirens ... I will never forget the look on his face  ::MonkeyShocked:: ...it was priceless, I can say he never cursed again in my presence anyway.  Sadly it did not 'stick', mainly cause his dad is who is, and his mom is who she is, but he is sitting in juvey right now.   ::MonkeyNoNo::

I know you weren't, it's a story that still makes me   ::MonkeyLaugh:: it's an unhappy end ...so far... he's still young and hopefully will change. I still like to think about the happy times.  ::MonkeyHaHa::

Wanted to add that I am actively working on 'the change'. When he was in kindergarten I volunteered for a field trip, a kid asked him "is that your mom", he said  "no....she's....just....my...well... she's.... my Dawn", he will always be my "baby" and I will always be his Dawn. I would never enable him, or make excuses for him, but will always love him.

I think for someone who has been the caretaker of a child who seems could have been a handful at times, it might come natural to say when leaving, 'behave yourself', or some such. 

I have a couple of friends who have taken care of my sons every now and again when they were young, and when they'd visit, on leaving, they'd ruffle son's hair and tell em to be good.  All three of my sons minded one of my friends more than they ever minded me!  LOL  When she 'spoke', ooooooooooooo they listened!  (course, she had a huge st. bernard she'd make whichever kid she took care of, who dared to irritate her, pick up after.  heeeee).

Am thinking that since Gma had taken care of Haleigh so much before Misty came on the scene, Haleigh was already used to listening to her saying 'behave', etc.  Nothing alarming about that, IMO. 

Heck, I even say that to my doxie when I run out to the store!  Not that he listens any better than my sons did tho.  One can only hope.   ::MonkeyHaHa::

Only part that struck me as odd was that Misty was "mommy" or "step-mommy" and the children still needed to be told to "behave" for her. 

My kids and even my nephews, who I have regularly already know, they should behave..... no I don't beat them...... but they know there is............ No Wii, No TV, No PS(of any kind), No DS, NO anything if they don't.

Saying that I know my kids will behave when I leave my kids elsewhere..... I do still tell them to "behave", heck I just inherited two cats, and I tell them to "behave" when I leave............. So I guess I lost my point.   ::MonkeyTongue::

good deal.. also, I  perk my coffee, so in the morning, I start a pot of coffee, and a pot of water. By the time the coffee is begininng to perk, my tea water is boiling. so, I add the sugar and tea bags, turn off the heat, and turn down the heat on my coffee pot.
All is done at same time. Then while I drink my coffee,  and read the monkeys, the tea has time to begin to cool.  After coffee, it is Tea time, all day long.

Yesterdays b day ended with going to my fav island, and watching the sunset.
Twas a wonderfull day. thanks again for all the thoughts. Happy Mothers day to you as well.

I am listening to the interview right now, so far there is no new information, it is interesting tho. One comment that I must agree with is Cobra's statement that they should "hook em up side by side" (talking about CA and Melissa Huckaby). Also poor Adji, they are right about why no media coverage for him  ::MonkeyWaa:: AH says police haven't searched Crystal's home, and so far there has been no real investigation of Crystal or Chad, police seem to be focusing more on Cummings/Croslin.

I have a lot to be thankful for today.

Yesterday I worked all day as an alternate judge during our local election.

Got home last night, ate a bite or two, showered and went to bed. Thirty minutes or so later my phone rang.  I answered and it was my baby daughter who had just had just experienced a home invasion. 

The scum broke in, hit her in her mouth, grab her purse and ran out.  Thank God all he did was damaged her lip.  She can always replace a purse.  Her cell phone was in her purse.  Her sister and my grandson tried calling the cell phone and did not get a response until late this evening.

The response was:  Bit_ _es this is the way we do it in NO (New Orleans. This is what we do to Texas bamas.

I am very relieved and thankful that my daughter's life was spared, but I am so upset with these lowlife pieces of chit I could just spit nails right about now.

We also found out this evening that they had hit another apartment earlier yesterday and shot the occupant.

We spent the day moving my daughter out of her apartment.

God is good!

Cobra seems to think the time line begins at 3:00pm, he says 5 witnesses including the bus driver have confirmed that it was Misty who picked Haleigh up, AH agrees, says he's talked to people also. No confirmation but Cobra has heard that, Saap was there that afternoon with Misty's brother watching the children play. Cobra does not seem to believe GGrama stopped by that night.

So do I Maven!   However sometimes LE seems to be so unconcerned.  But perhaps they are more concerned than what we think.  I did informed LE that these criminals profess to be from New Orleans.  I thought that their actions had waned since they came here after Katrina.  But I guess not.   They were really bad when they first moved and/or relocated here.  I had not heard anything about their activities for awhile.  But unfortunately they are still alive and kicking (kicking in peoples doors robbing and killing).

Cobra believes that the cinder block has been used before, regardless of what Ron says .... apparently JR and Crystal were at his hotel room going swimming and that JR went and found two bricks to prop his hotel door open. Cobra says no bump locking procedure was used to get in.

I live outside NO, and have heard many stories like this about evacuees causing problems there, I hadn't heard anything recently either, I thought they were cleaning up their acts, guess not. Many of the crminals have returned to NO, the rest I guess have set up shop elsewhere.  ::MonkeyNoNo:: I hope LE does take the seriously, this is at least the second time they have done this, the next time things may not have a good ending.  ::MonkeyNoNo::

I have a question to anyone who has listened to this interview. Did Cobra say that the AC man lived next door to Haleigh? That's the way I understood what he said, but I could be wrong. I know he said the police are keeping the information about the AC guy close, and aren't saying much about him.

I'm listening to it now and yes he did say the AC guy live in a trailer close by and that this guy wouldn't talk to him three times and said that he (cobra) passed him on to someone else.

Yes very interesting interview.. Cobra did state that the a/c lived in the next door trailor. We can trace that name From the property search records if he owned the trailor.. Time line that they can verify the last time haleight was seen is 3pm where Haleigh was seen with Misty and the children and other child named Austin also a Sapp guy.. Bus driver confirmed Misty picked up Haleigh @ the bus stop.. And apparently jr was used to putting  bricks to keep the door open.. I have to go back and listen about something about the tent issue. I got the impression Cobra did not believe the story about GGranny going to the home that night...

I heard the same things, the monies go to helping her and her young daughter stay in town. I don’t know how this is legal for her to do, cuz I know that when Jamie Watts( of Watts Funeral Home) set up an account to take donation for the father and young boy JR, The first account had to be closed and another opened due to Florida law stated that only those living in the home with the missing child (Haleigh Cummings)could be on the account. So Crystal’s name had to be removed cuz of the law. Also I know that law enforsement knew about the child support warrent, and the cousin of Crystal’s was hanging out with Misty, over the weekend that the mother Crystal had her visit w/ the childern. Now another quick note, I was at Ronald’s family tent early on when law enforsement stoped by asking for any key’s that was there for Ronald home. The grandmother handed over her copy, only to find out that the officer’s were mistake about which tent they were at. They believed that they were at the mother’s Crystal tent. And they stated the had gotten a tip the the mother (Crystal) had somehow gotten a key to the father (Ronald’s ) home. The grandmther told them that there were only 5 key made for the home. And that the mother should not have one. I never heard wether or not they found one on her. But they did later go get her figure prints and DNA.

That was just a comment Heart brought over, it was posted on AH, a comment that Art wrote to answer a poster who asked a question, I think the question was why was Cobra badmouthing Crystal or something along those lines. and IA I think Cobra was sidestepping the question.

I think he is wrong about her being ruled out as a suspect..  Also, I read somewhere this morning, have to go back and check it out.. that they had not really interviewed either Crystal or Chad. Morning Monkeys.  I tried listening to the interview last night, but had seven puppies biting my ankles, a hungover husband that danced with me too much Saturday night (groaning on the couch and listening to the tv too loudly) a three year old that wanted to play on the computer and bump me off, and well...was it just me, or did you have a REALLY hard time getting past 1) the picture on the website threw me off, 2) WTH were those two women doing that were SUPPOSE to be on during the interview?  WTH is Pickles?  From BNN?  Was that a joke?

Thunder Bunny ~  Good Afternoon...not sure which pop up blocker you are using, but in the IE..under tools there is a pop up blocker...to turn off/on. There are also settings to check out.  Maybe try this one. Hope it helps, as I know they are darn well annoying.

I'm not sure who pickles is or why she was even on there, the few things she said made no sense, and she wasn't even paying attention. The other woman was at least following the conversation, I think she was the guys wife. This show did allow call ins and a chat room, but I didn't catch it when it was live. The interview is very long, so it's hard to listen to the whole thing, I had to wait for my kids to go to bed, and then my oldest (hubby) made me miss parts.

about the pop up ads ..... I didn't even know that there were pop-ups on this page, till I used another computer to come here. I use Firefox and have ad-block plus on it....... it works very nicely!

Yes mlee it was AH that said there has been no real investigation into Crystal and/or Chad, I hope this is incorrect. I personally don't think Crystal had anything to do with this, but it would be a very stupid move for LE to not examine every angle. AH says about the fact that Crystal and Chad have not been investigated to "read between the lines", if it's true that they have not been looked at, what I read in those lines is ...........STUPID.....

You are correct, but with the help of friends and family, they are different and love and caring can make them special again.  There is also comfort in knowing your loved one is forever away from harm and spending the holiday in the palm of the hand of our maker.  The feeling of loss is ours alone.

Thunder Bunny and alagary, Firefox with adblocker plus addon works perfectly and does not slow down your computer. I believe it makes it faster, by not having to load all the ads.

I heard Art Harris say in the Simon Barrett interview that, "No formal investigation" has been done by LE of Crystal and Chad. I am not sure what he meant by that. I do believe that Crystal was polygraphed. That isn't a formal investigation?

EXACTLY!  Trying to talk about a little girl that was missing, the LEAST she could do would be to pay attention and sound halfway sober. (I'm not saying she was anything, but PAY ATTENTION FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!)  I was dismayed that for such a serious subject, it was almost like a joke at the beginning and the only part I've tried to listen to.  Therefore, I vote we figure out how to interview Cobra, and show them how's it done. 

I consider Klaas and Red my bosses and they do not get paid, nor do I.

Hi, mlee. I believe he used the word investigated... not interviewed. I believe they were both interviewed, also that Crystal took a LDT, but not sure about Chad. By rights, they should both be investigated so they can be ruled out. If they did not at least question them, then they dropped the ball. But I have to believe that every family member was questioned at some point.

Also, just a general note: regarding Crystal's and Marie's house not being searched. Putnam Co. would not have the jurisdiction to conduct a search in Baker Co. They would more than likely pass that off to LE there. So Kim's statement that their houses were not searched is at least partially correct. Baker Co. may have done the search with Putnam's cooperation or assistance. And if none of them did... then there should be a good reason not to.... because the non-custodial parent is always the first one they look at, in my neck of the woods.

guy sapp is my grandfather who co-signed for me to buy my house on tyler st. donald sapp is not related to us. isn't this supposed to be about haleigh not about who is related to who. guy sapp is a retired property appraiser of flagler county and has never even met haleigh. the a/c guy has been checked out and was supposed to be at the house on green lane. i wish people would just leave both sides of the family alone and focus on bringing haleigh home. thanks lindsy croslin

Brandy, I heard the same thing, and questions marks came flashing.. I know she took a poly, she said in one of her interviews that they had Polygraphed her, when ask if she passed.. she said, I don't know, they told me they were going to have to send it to Washington..   I guess to the FBI.... I don't know....

I agree, I don't believe I have read anything on Chad.. he seems to stay completely out of the limelight..  Even though ron has been interviewed, checked out and taken a poly.. he hasn't been cleared.. and of course, short elevator, anyone ever believing she had been cleared needs to buy a wooden nickel..  Since they came back with their primary direction of investigation, with the believe its family or person close to family that should reverse everything and Crystal should be back under the microscope, if not right now, it will come.  You know they can have a search warrant issued and go to the SO in her County, I am pretty sure the Sheriff would co-operate and there would be a search of her home.  I found a bit of varying commentaries today on several other sites.. One was talking about Crystal not arriving in Satsuma until 7 hours after she had been notified of Haleigh's missing..  I had not heard that before, I can't imagine she didn't jump up in the middle of the night and race over there. 7 hours.. thats along time.

Yes mlee I have seen comments that say she did not get there for 7 hours, but others challenge that and say it didn't take her that long, some claim to have asked KP and that she told them that is not true, some say they asked and were told it was 7 hours .....clear as mud. If it did take 7 hours for her to get there .... that's a very long time, and I would have to wonder why it took so long.

Ummmm.....yes, work, and yes busy.  alagary questioned the key ... F 1... It brings up he help menu in my windows...vista.  Once it is up you can check out, as other programs also use that key.  It is a shortcut key, without using your mouse.

We all have been surfing the net, reading news, other bloggers comments, Art Harris' site of comments, comments heard by Cobra during his interview.

LE is keeping tight lips on their investigation.  They are doing that obviously for many reasons.  What we hear from others, like...maybe they did...or maybe they didn't ...or they could also be...and it goes on and on and on.

Cobra, Art and the rest of the news sites ARE NOT going to GIVE OUT information pertaining to the investigation that LE is keeping close to their belts.

They are trying to keep the public and news sites updated, which is just great, as everyone looks for updates.  But, sometimes their choice of words, leaves the comment WIDE OPEN and some read into it more than others. 

Maybe he did....then they run with the fact...OH Ron most likely hit Haleigh, cause Cobra said...maybe he did.  He didn't say NO he didn't.  Do you see what I am getting at.  Cobra doesn't know from Adam whether this happened or it didn't ...as he was not there. (previous sentences were FOR EXAMPLE ONLY!!)  There are some that Cobra & Art make, that sure they were there, but do you actually think they are going to give all of the DETAILS...as to why, who, etc..  NO they are not...as this is AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION.

Have any of you noticed, that they do not give DIRECT ANSWERS.  They try to answer the best of their ability, however, at the same time NOT releasing LE investigative INFO.

I have listened to the BNN broadcast last night.  Pickles....hmmm...not sure if dill, kosher, sliced or hot.  But I agree, not sure why she was there....but she is on all of the broadcasts along with his wife Jan.  They both could very well stay home in bed for all that they contribute.  But, incase noone phones in..at least Barrett has someone to chat with....JMO
