Didn't I hear that this lawsuit with ZG could be settled out of court through the Anthony's Homeowners Insurance????? That just doesn't seem legit to me.

Also, suing Casey is probably the only path she had as far as the defamation... but Casey can't profit off of the movies, books, etc. if she is convicted........will the Anthony's be in any way liable for a judgement in favor of ZG?

How can this be settled out of court via homeowner's insurance?

Does anyone think that maybe LE might be befriending Casey on Facebook?  I'm sure they would know whether or not it is really her.  Since she can't keep her mouth shut online, I wonder if someone might be gaining her confidence to see if she might "confess"?

Very possible!

Zenaida Gonzalez' Lawyer Says Casey's Team Wants To Profit From Case

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Attorney John Morgan who is representing Zenaida Gonzalez, a woman who shares the name of the so-called nanny Casey claimed had her daughter said he is certain that Casey's team is trying to profit from the case.

Morgan appeared on CNN's Nancy Grace Wednesday night.

"I know for a fact that magazines have been approached by members of her team to receive monies," said Attorney John Morgan.

Morgan's client is suing Casey for defamation of character. Zenaida was questioned by deputies and says she can't get a job because her name was used.

Gonzalez says she's never even met Casey and investigators have cleared her in the child's disappearance.

Casey Anthony’s former fiancé appealed to the mother of missing Orlando toddler Caylee Anthony to stop lying about what happened to her daughter.

“Casey, tell the truth. This isn’t about you anymore. This is about Caylee,” Jesse Grund said at the end of an interview with TODAY’s Matt Lauer Thursday in New York. “Stop dragging people’s lives through this. Stop destroying people’s lives and tell the truth. What happened to Caylee?”

On "Today," Casey Anthony's former fiance tells her: "Tell the truth. This isn't about you anymore"

In a revealing interview with Matt Lauer on NBC's "Today," Casey Anthony's former fiance begged her Thursday morning to reveal what she knows about missing daughter Caylee.

"Casey, tell the truth. This isn't about you anymore," Jesse Grund said. "This is about Caylee. Stop dragging people's lives through this, stop destroying people's lives and tell the truth. What happened to Caylee? Because we're all done with it. We're all done with having to listen to your lies and your stories that make no sense over and over and over again. So tell the truth about what happened."

Grund summed up the frustrations so many people feel with Casey Anthony. Lauer conducted a good interview that provided several memorable moments in this perplexing, drawn-out story.

Grund explained why he was attracted to Casey Anthony. He found her to be smart, sarcastic and fun to be around. But she started to lied the end of their rleationship and stole $250 from him.

He described Casey as a devoted and doting mother to Caylee. But at end of their relationship, Casey  pulled away, turned selfish, started partying and became closer to her mother, Cindy Anthony, Grund said.

Lauer asked if Casey Anthony could have hurt her child.

"Who knows the real Casey?" Grund said. "I think only she does. I think her personality has been so changed and molded over the years, I don't even know if she knows who she is."

"Today" preceded the interview with a report by Kerry Sanders in Orlando. He noted the Orange County Sheriff's Office is now calling Casey Anthony a suspect in her daughter's disappearance. Sanders said that change came in an interview with reporter Bob Kealing of WESH-Channel 2.

Jose Baez, Casey Anthony's attorney, countered that there's little difference between being called "person of interest" and "suspect."

Perhaps Grund's words are the ones that will make a difference

Jose Baez has a point if charges are not forthcoming.

One plus for Casey when she gets to prison, she states on her MySpace acct. that she is "bi."  I guess that will be one less shocking adjustment to make.

Sorry, still catching up from last night's posts - just want to stop and LMAO at this one mammy.

The gravey train is rolling into "Station Anthony" from some destination.  The Anthonys are the backers of Casey's $500,000 bond and ... then there are the  defence attorneys ...

Questions Surround Who Cashed In On Caylee Anthony Video
POSTED: 4:54 pm EDT September 11, 2008
UPDATED: 5:06 pm EDT September 11, 2008

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Eyewitness News is following the money in the Caylee Anthony case, both the money Casey Anthony is charged with stealing and the money someone in the Anthony family may be making from home video obtained by ABC's 20/20.

Every day, Casey Anthony leaves her parent's home and is driven to her lawyer's office in Kissimmee by one family member or another and then driven back home. Casey's lawyer says he's being paid, but won't say by whom, and now Eyewitness News has learned that someone in the family might have gotten a big paycheck because of the tragedy.

The home videos of Caylee Marie Anthony celebrating a birthday and swimming in the backyard pool, which appeared exclusively on ABC News, have captured the hearts of many (See Images | Watch Raw Video). But they are also raising questions now over whether the network paid for them, how much it paid and to whom.

There are reports that ABC possibly paid $200,000 for licensing rights to the videos. On Thursday, ABC News told Eyewitness News, "ABC News licensed footage and photos from rights holders. We do not discuss the details of our licensing agreements."

Eyewitness News has learned only four people would have access and or rights to the family videos and photographs: Caylee's mother Casey, Caylee's uncle Lee and her grandparents, Cindy and George Anthony.

Through their Orlando attorney, Mark NeJame, Cindy and George strongly deny having anything to do with the release and/or sale of the videos.

"Absolutely not. And anybody that would suggest such a thing is a damnable liar. They did not receive one penny. They did not negotiate or utter one syllable towards that," NeJame said.

Eyewitness News contacted Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, to ask if he or Casey has received any money from ABC for the videos and photos. His public relations firm refused to answer specific questions about the licensing fee but said, "The Baez law firm is focused solely on defending their client, not the commercialization of their client's missing daughter Caylee."

Baez's public relations firm said he's received offers for book and movie deals for more than a million dollars, none of which have been accepted. But, again, they won't answer specifically about licensing fees.

Casey Anthony Offered More Than $1M To Tell Story
George Anthony May Avoid Charges For Protester Scuffle
POSTED: 5:27 pm EDT September 9, 2008
UPDATED: 6:47 pm EDT September 9, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- WESH 2 has learned about offers of more than $1 million for Casey Anthony to tell her story.

A defense fund is also in the process of being established for her.

A spokesman for Jose Baez said offers have come in as high as $1.5 million for book rights, movie rights, TV deals, even a pay-per-view offer.

"I can tell you just for interview areas alone they can range from $50,000 to $350,000. We've even had an offer come from an overseas company that specializes in pay per view and those offers can exceed $1 million," Jose Baez Law Firm spokesman Todd Black said.

Black said they're listening to all offers but for now not accepting anything.

"We've made it clear to everyone that their inquiry will be put in to a file and we don't know whether that file will ever have to be opened," Black said.

Much of it, Black said, depends on how extensive Casey Anthony's defense will have to be.

He said they're building a Web site for Casey Anthony’s defense fund and assembling a team of defense experts.

People in downtown Orlando had opinions about the possibility of Casey Anthony selling her story to raise money for her defense.

"She has no right to do that. I think she needs to tell people where the little girl is," one person said.

"She does absolutely deserve the right to a fair trial, but I'm still not 100 percent with it," another person said.

Black points out these kinds of offers are not unusual for people high-profile cases like this.

The lawyer for Cindy and George Anthony said they are not considering any similar offers.

Casey's explaination=wrong Zanny
Yep, I agree.
Casey's Zanny lived in Miami and NY.

I think I asked this yesterday, but I don't recall getting an answer. Did/does Annie have family in Miami or NY? Or a sibling living in Miami?  Do we have any idea?
ZG name is so common and Miami is 3/4 hispanic. Same with NY/NJ area.
But this is interesting:
http://www.usa-people-search.com/Find-Zenaida-Gonzalez-Orlando-FL.aspx
Wonder if Casey searched that too before she killed her daughter?
Maybe we will see that in court before Casey is convicted and dies from lethal injection.

Zenaida Gonzalez' Lawyer Says Casey's Team Wants To Profit From Case

Do you have a link regarding the Homeowners Insurance making a settlement out of court?  I haven't heard anything about it.

As far as the Anthonys' being liable for a judgement, I have no idea.  Good question though.

Sorry Mammy, I am new at blogging and am not sure how to link on here yet.  I do not have a specific source but it was stated in an article on one of the Orlando news stations very early on......probably a day or two after the lawsuit was filed.  I thought it was strange at the time since the A's homeowners policy should not be an appropriate method to settle....it's not like ZG tripped and fell at one of the vigils
