Good Morning

Beautiful, just beautiful, I'm going to look at this pic off and on today, while I'm trying to get my house in order for a six week visit with my dad, in two weeks  I have ten things started with nothing done, now washing throw rugs from the kitchen, watch the rugs will shred, I just feel it  oh well 

He and his 24 pairs of underwear? He'll have a whole dresser to himself, right?

I saw on FoxNews this morning that Hugo Chavez was shutting down radio and TV stations all over the country. I was looking for the story, but I haven't found it yet. I wonder if he has managed to shut down the internet down in Venezuela yet?

It should be obvious to anyone watching that this man is quickly becoming a ruthless dictator, and is using all the same tactics that Fidel Castro used to seize power in Cuba after he led the revolution with the farmers. Now Venezuela, or rather Hugo Chavez and his group called ALBA have interfered with the elections in Argentina, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Bolivia, and they are working to change the governments in several other nations as well.

Interestingly enough, none of this is being reported inside of Venezuela. Even bloggers have been rounded up and put in jail, and several have left the country. Please consider all this.

Morning Monkeys, got to work late, but I got my cough medicine refilled, so at least I am not couging too badly.

I pray for Tevye today and for Kat Gram. I will be lurking. Trying to listen to court, but I got in on it late.

PS Northern, I heard of a priest that kept getting dui's. The nuns would take the vodka and hid it, he would still get sauced. Turned out, he had rigged the windshield wiper reservior to a tube that went through to the car. When he wanted a drink, he pushed the wiper thing that squirts the windshield, but instead of squirting on the windshield the vodka when through the tube, straight into his glass. 

Man, I love being Catholic! We have the most outrageous nuns and priests! (pedophiles excluded, of course). I think the old-school ones had many mental problems and drank on the sly (Sister Mary Ethelegene always seemed to smell "minty"). The new-school ones break all the rules. The most important rule they broke was wearing a habit and rubber soled shoes...they could sneak up on you from behind, but we at least knew when we were talking to one. Nowadays, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that some nuns work in bars! Heck, they've set the standards so low, I could be a nun! And you know that's low!

Yeah, what was it was the priests and their "getaways"? I mean, the parish paid for their lives, and priests are supposed to be poor, yet most of the ones I knew had a little getaway house somewhere. One (making sign of cross, God rest his soul, as he was a great priest) had a gf stashed there. He did great things, started a wonderful foundation...he just couldn't handle that whole celibacy thing. I wonder if it was the celibacy or the isolation that got to them?

Shorts, jean shorts    I am cleaning out dressers now, and told my daughter to clear out part of her closet. Talking about nuns, I agree, many had mental issues, and were so old, they shouldn't have been around kids, they couldn't take all that energy. Perhaps that is why some of them were slap happy with the ruler  I remember two nuns that were really nice and also very old, for Heaven's sake the nun I had in first grade, my mother also had her in first grade  And I have no doubt at lunch time they walked over to the nun house and took a nip before coming back for the afternoon.

Well the one kitchen rug is now hanging on my balcony rail, the second one I hope makes it through the wash. Normally after awhile instead of playing this game, I just get rid of the rugs and get new ones, but I have to have these with the grape vines design, don't ask  and Wally World doesn't sell them anymore

Shorts, jean shorts    I am cleaning out dressers now, and told my daughter to clear out part of her closet. Talking about nuns, I agree, many had mental issues, and were so old, they shouldn't have been around kids, they couldn't take all that energy. You know I have no idea why we try, I really don't, it's becoming very obvious it is just a waste of time  I hope you have some medicine to take for your back, have your SIL cut the grass after she is done helping with the truck  I know how you feel, and I probably would lock the doors so they can't come in, depending on my mood    Now my dad, because I just said, I have a lot of work around the house to do, says well if it is that much bother I won't come  If he gets one of his tantrums and decides not to come, my husband is going to have a fit, 230 dollars out the window, and that is a one way ticket. Everything I say gets all mixed up in the translation, I should just shut up. I give up, now I have to go water outside
