Robert Sigg, Austin's father -- and he's left quite a paper trail. The station documented a slew of arrests for offenses that include assault and battery, resisting/obstructing arrest, domestic violence, driving under the influence of drugs, being a habitual traffic offender and more.
Robert, who was divorced from Austin's mother, Mindy, eleven years ago, is said to be the owner of Performance One Media in Centennial (the company's website is down, as is his personal one), and while he's reportedly been in Mexico on business, his Parker home is being targeted for police search.

Caisse said Sigg "was always egotistical, but I never thought he would go this far." He added, "I'd expect him to get into a fight before leaving high school — not murder someone."
He said Sigg was really into Japanese culture like anime, and liked play computer games. The two shared an interest in collecting knives.
"We got into a lot of verbal fights," Caisse recalled.
He remembered that Sigg had a girlfriend for awhile and thought he was "really nice to her and treated her well." He described Sigg's family as "awesome" and said they said they were very generous with Sigg, whom he described as "brilliant."

Ridgeway murder suspect Austin Sigg’s father no stranger to police

Austin Sigg’s father, 48-year-old Robert Sigg, has a long criminal history dating back decades

Robert Sigg’s trouble with the law includes a federal conviction for bank fraud in 2004.

He was also arrested for first degree burglary and assault in Jefferson County.

The rap sheet goes on: Driving under the influence in Evans, selling and distributing dangerous drugs in Weld county, as well as assault and battery in Aurora.

Denver police arrested him for obstructing, and resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.

Robert Sigg was charged as an habitual traffic offender in Thornton.

Parker police arrested him for domestic violence and driving under the influence of drugs.

We have also confirmed, Robert Sigg and Austin’s mother, Mindy Sigg divorced in 2001.

Robert Sigg’s common law wife filed restraining orders against him in 2001 and 2003 for domestic violence.

Okay, that's scary.  He will eventually be released.   

I am seeing the signs of a mounting mental defense as we speak.  Something is nagging me in this case, and I would not be surprised to hear another arrest.

They do not know yet where he dismembered her.  That is a problem.

I have said it from the beginning this case will shock people and  that this kid has pornography addictions that escalated and I believe you'll find that he was led not just by his addictions, but that others watched.

If I'm understanding what I've read so far, daddy is into tv production.  So, lots of computer gear, filming equipment, and know-how just lying around.  hmmm

Is the father into porn film industry? Lots of people make money from running porn sites.

One in Texas too suing Performance One.

Fraud seems to be his middle name.
