What would the "bad situation" be???  Drugs? Prostitution? Debt?

That is such a good point....there really is no motive and she would love to be the martyr in the case of an accident....

I wish we knew more about her personal life....

Yeah, there are twists that make the simple scenario a bit more complicated. One of them is where Casey took Caylee prior to this when she said she was taking her to the babysitter???

If I had a child and were still living home with my parents, I can guarantee that they would demand to meet the child's babysitter.  Clearly the grandparents loved Caylee....I don't doubt that....I find it very strange that they would have never met this Zenaida....I lean towards believing that is a lie.  Also, they really didn't know she wasn't working???  What about her taxes?  I doubt that Casey was responsible enough to do her own taxes...I mean, my dad still helps me with mine. I think they must have known she had no job....does that seem extremely weird to anyone else?

Motive:  jealousy and rage.  Casey was usurped in her parent's affection by an adorable 2 year old.  The princess was dethroned.  Parents were discussing with Casey when she would move out and become responsible.  Her way of life was threatened.  Neighbors heard screaming and cursing--Miss Casey had a mouth on her and used it.  Parents were threatening to take Caylee away from her.  Stress.  Mental illness.  Lies and more lies.

I totally agree, AZLady.  (I find myself agreeing with you on just about everything!)

Casey's charmed life as she knew it was coming to an end.  I think she attempted to prove to them that the world still revolved around her and made sure they were sorry that someone else replaced her as number one in their hearts.

Her boyfriends roomate said Caylee never spent the night...So she had to go somewhere, someone had to be keeping her, she's is not gonna lock her child in a trunk overnight.

Really?

Does not equal Murder

Right they threatened to take caylee and rather then lose Caylee to her parents. She sent her somewhere so they could not take her.

Makes no sense.... if she really cared that much she would have wanted Caylee to be where she was loved and treated like a little princess and where she could see with her own eyes how she was doing...JMO

Let's say it was accidental why wouldn't she call 911, then she could be the mother who lost her 2 year old daughter. She had to no eventually someone would say where is Caylee so if it were an accident she would have to make up this hugeee story. I think she would rather be the poor mother who lost her child to an accident rather then a mother who lost her daughter to an accident and then covered it up... And if it were an accident where is the emotion...She wouldn't be out having a drink after her daughter just died in a horrible accident.

From seeing the family dynamic and hearing the neighbors, it appears like Casey bullied her parents.  Ever see parents who simply, over time, give in just to avoid the yelling and fighting and tantrums?  I think they just wanted peace and Casey used them.

Right they threatened to take caylee and rather then lose Caylee to her parents. She sent her somewhere so they could not take her.

These are the stressors that created the motive for murder.  They may have been more as we don't know everything in her life.  Did she want to be with a boyfriend and a child was a hindrance?  We don't know.  However, I don't see any signs in Casey that she was a loving mother, despite the proclamations of her parents.  In fact, just the opposite.

I don't know AZ...and see this is why I bring my sister into the pic...and my own experience.

Caylee was Casey's meal ticket. Like it or not...jealous or not...she got away with alot...because of Cindy and George's love for Caylee.

The minute Caylee is gone...so are all the excuses...and the credit card fraud..and the love and concern...without Caylee...Casey becomes a 22 year old with no jib, no future...and no meal ticket.

Say what you will about Casey...she was NOT stupid...she knew how to play people!!

She needed Caylee!! And if Caylee had passed by accident...that is still her meal ticket!
She would have played that one to the hilt.

Absolutely! I keep thinking that her parents helped her out with some money, and medical bills, etc. but that they figured in her supposed salary in what they gave her. I've always wondered if she didn't escort, or maybe deal drugs; something she couldn't tell them.

Exactly.  At the beginning of this case I thought there must have been an accident and she covered it up.  But as time goes on, it appears Casey does not have any emotional reaction to Caylee's disappearance.  She went out drinking afterwards.  She has not shown any emotion other than contempt and thinly veiled anger in her phone calls from jail.  This is the behavior of a psychopath who doesn't feel guilt or sadness or regret.

You make an excellent point....AZ, do you think that the parents might know she did murder this child and are in on the coverup?  I mean, how do we explain their behavior?

Are they just confused and grasping at straws or are they trying to save their daughter?

Today on Dr. Phil they had three mother's that HATE BEING mother's, now mind you two of them have real challenges from their children but the 3rd mother really just wants out of the responsibility & wants to be a party person with freedom & she is the one who had the most children but none of them had any emotional or physical challenges at all, she was blessed but she'd really rather just be on her own having a good time.

I've met more than my fair share of women like this & read stories of many more.  Having children to this type of person is just another form of manipulation of either a man or parents or to make somebody who will love them no matter what they have brains the size of a pea & hearts the size of fruit flies.

And did any of them kill their kids??

az...go back to joran...he is a sociopath...look at how he operated!!!

He wanted media attention!!!

Had to be in the spotlight!!!

Was in a frenzy after covering his fanny!!
Played the victim mode up!!!

I just don't see the same things in Casey's case...which makes me question everything!!!

Altruist, from what I've read, Casey fits the profile of psychopath.  Remember all the discussion we had about Joran and his psychopathic behavior?  Casey also displays this behavior.  What surprises me is how people cannot understand why psychopaths kill.  They are not like normal people.  This is a serious mental illness that manifests itself early in life.  Casey fits the profile.

Yes, myself I think of this state of mind as a personality disorder as they know the rules, they know right from wrong.  They just think these things apply to all but them.  They are above it all & get to have whatever they want, that is of the utmost importance to this type & they will do whatever it takes to get it EVEN MURDER.  All I know is that there are way too many of this type of creature living on the planet earth preying on the innocent & destroying whatever & whom ever they choose to & have no remorse.  They can put it out of their minds with little to no effort at all.

Often times this is why they get away with it because those persons sitting in the jury box don't know how to deal with the fact that they have nothing in common with this type of criminal for if they did there would be no reasonable doubt in their minds.

Accidents do happen but not to creatures like this they make their own destiny to which they feel entitled & have such a high opinion of themselves & low opinion of all others they simply believe they are going to get away with it plain & simple & sadly enough many of them do.

Personally I lean toward professional jurors myself.
