Yeah, I saw the March one.  But remember the JAAP interview came out in February and Paulus died in February so lots of reasons to need more money.

and had a good one.

WILLEMSTAD — The examining judge released the 29-year old male L. yesterday after his lawyer Diahanne Lichtenberg had accused the police of forceful action. This alleged all out of proportion violence supposedly took place during the apprehension last week Friday. The detainee suffered amongst others a bleeding head injury from his arrest.

What??!! Murders and corresponding trials actually occur in Aruba?!! Man, I've gotta stop reading Aruba Today. I deduced Paulus had time to teach Joran the keen skill of gambling because he had so much free time due to the nature of legal proceedings, or lack thereof.

From that same (Vinda de Souza) letter - this is a part I always wondered about (even as it cracked me up):

I thought, surely, this was something like "mediator" that became "medium" and thus, whimsicallly, "clairvoyanat" ... but no, I believe it was arubagirl who said not so.

That man actually presented himself as a clairvoyant! Way to much time in the sun ...

I didn't think it was early on that the infamous Charlie Croes "pretended" clairvoyance.  He was introduced to Beth & Jug, if memory serves, through Rufner Page, with whom he had done business (telephone business) in Venezuela, but whom he knew to be a resident of Aruba and an American citizen (it appears he holds dual citizenship and some very strange lack of morals).

It got even stranger, as Beth's book revealed. CC in "clairvoyant" mode that night, wanted Beth to close her eyes and talk about her sex life.

I wish we had all known about this when we were analyzing his every word on that TV interview early on (this would have been June 2005, I don't remember off hand which show it was). He talked about that phone call message (the "bird call"), and about finding Joran's house, Deepak's car.

I stand corrected.  I don't know why I did not recall that from Beth's book.  I was thinking it was later on.  Remember those strange poems that he used to post on line?  some of them Sandra KuKu posted here and they were poetry of a pervert IMHO.

A camisole designed to wear under a jacket and a pair of jeans that are totally washed out, (harkens back to the 1990s when Aruba was booming and although her pot was still cracked, no light had yet been shone on her).

Judge rejects Van der Sloot's unlawful detention motion

Lima, Peru -- A Superior Court Judge in Lima, Peru, upheld the confession and incarceration of Joran van der Sloot in connection with the killing of Stefany Flores, officials said.

On Friday, Judge Wilder Casique Alvizuri declared as "unfounded" van der Sloot's habeas corpus claim that his constitutional rights were violated at the time of the confession because he was represented by a state-appointed attorney. Van der Sloot also claimed that his laptop had been improperly searched.

In an official press release, the judge said that the suspect had a translator made available to him during the three depositions he gave the police and that his laptop was sealed once delivered to the court.

Van der Sloot, a 22-year-old Dutch citizen, is jailed pending trial on charges of first-degree murder and robbery in the May 30 death in of Flores, a 21-year-old student.

While he remains a suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba in 2005, he has not been charged in that crime
