Good morning!  Just a quick note about trapping/neutering feral cats...  when I worked with a group that was trapping and neutering cats, the vet would clip one of the cats ears to indicate to anyone in the future the cat had been neutered.  I realize that the great majority of time once you trap a feral cat, it will won't go back in a trap again.  However, it has happened, and cats have been taken in to be spayed that had already been neutered.  Of course, some of these cats could have been neutered before they began living as feral cats too.  The clipped ear at least indicates neutering and that they've been seen by a vet sometime in their life.

I have a cousin that was arrested a few years ago for the grave offense of feeding feral cats.     She was taking care of a colony of cats, trapping/neutering and etc.  There was an ordinance that forbade feeding the cats.

When I lived in the middle east, there was no humane society in my area.  If someone called about a nuisance cat, dog or bird or found a cat, it went to PEST CONTROL.  And they would take them out to the desert to die.  A group of expats got together and we would foster animals, have fund raisers (garage sales & etc) and try to find homes for the animals.  Some times the animals were even shipped to the U.S. to homes or to sanctuary's in the U.S., like Best Friends in Kanab, Utah. (Older article, but kind of explains things. )         http://news.bestfriends.org/index.cfm?page=news&mode=entry&entry=AF38942E-BDB9-396E-99C29D81D1BAD827    The good thing was that there were a couple of vets that would do really low cost spaying and neutering and sometimes discounted care for the animals.

Oh how awful putting the animal in the desert to die    Thank God there are so many good people that help and will do so much for an animal  an angelic monkey  Is a feral cat a wild cat that nobody owns?

There is website called Alley cat allies that really helps explain the TNR and feral cat movement.  But becareful,  if you type in ".com" instead of ".org" you get a porn site Monkey Devil!  I did this at work by accident once, imagine the embarassment

Goodnight my friends...Talk ya'll tomorrow

I have done that  Put .com instead of .org and ened up at some wild sites.
That must have been very shocking
I'm thinking of doing that for a little excitement for the day
Monkey Devil! Didn't you get enough excitement yesterday when someone thought you were dede????

I have special food for the different feeders, and I buy the no waste food which is more money. My husband doesn't even question any of this anymore  I just tell him the birds and squirrels need food and he goes and buys it. I won't go into Petsmart anymore  so he does for me.

NRCG whats no waste food? I have never heard of it before.
You know with the regular food how there is always a mess left behind, empty sunflower seeds and seeds? The no waste, they can eat all of it and nothing is left behind, that way I never have to clean up the mess, and it comes in a variety of flavors.

That makes since.

It is really helpful and the birds get a big variety of feed, even cranberries and raisins, unfortunately they don't like that though

Yep.  I can't believe how many there are here in Texas. Maybe because I lived in the subrubs my whole life we just didn't have that many.

Good morning everyone    How adorable are those baby kitties  an angelic monkey  I want that little gray one    So wonderful that you, atlanta_mom and 4 Donks take care of the kitties like that  an angelic monkey
Morning No Rose, have a great day. You still cleaning the garage?
Good morning    I am getting everything to one side to bring by the curb tomorrow for the bulky pick up. I had to tell the lady what items, but going to sneak a few more items out there and hope they take them  You can only have four bulky items or up to 50 garbage bags, which seems stupid to me.

I know it makes no sense to me either.
And because of that, I'm going to sneak more items  I'm sure if they don't take it someone around here will. On garbage day there is a man in a van that comes around and takes items that are left out so maybe he will. Better put a sign on the things though, even if the woman told me that I didn't need to.
The Spider Lady that would steal daffodil bulbs would do the same thing, get stuff off the curb on trash day.

Got the calculator last night at Staples.  It was on sale for $249 and they had two left.  Thank you for the offer Mission, that was so kind of you to think of us.

I feel like a insta-bank right now.

Daughter brought home note from Gym teacher - Sweats $30, shorts $20, T-shirt $10 = $60
Band (even though she has her own flute and is taking it to school - $30
So there goes another $90 out the door this morning

Youngest came home with some of his as well, milk tickets for the month -$15
Hotdog lunches once a month for 4 months - $15.40
Agenda - 10.00
there goes another $40

So this morning I am $130 for notes and $249 for calculator - which is $379 is 24 hours.  Can not wait to see what they bring home today.  Still not gotten the invoices for the school fees or any of the field trip notes.

You can have the gray one, I am sure my daughter would be happy to have the black and white one and any one it its siblings.  Who ever has the jet can we fire it up and do a cat run to Green Eyes?
