Praying for the children.

« Reply #1340 on: November 30, 2010, 05:21:09 PM »

Parts of Northern Mississippi could get sleet tonight.
We might need boyzmom to do a coney drop.

Got the 4 wheel drive ready to go - my hubby always says I drive like I have a jet back on the truck so I can fly it in!  Monkey Devil!

Let's go.
I gotta get under the house with hubby and check out the furnace.smoke was coming up through one of the vents  I was screaming and slinging the dogs out the door.Major anxiety here.No signs of fire, but FTLOG I almost peed my pants.Be back later.
OMG be careful, can't imagine what they would have been, hopefully nothing very serious  an angelic monkey

Hubby had gone over to work on a widow woman's bathroom. He comes back and I told him what happened. He asked me if I was sure I saw smokke smoke.....I asked him if he wanted me to slap the dog shizzle out of him.    WTH?Who makes this stuff up?
Meanwhile Digger gets locked under the house, and had to go get him.He comes running through the house covered in rain and cob webs.Heads straight for the Christmas tree.Spins the bottom row of limbs and takes off with one of the ornaments that fell off.
We have to replace the fan motor, and they are up under the house right now taking it out.LMAO.
I know how traumatic this has been for you, our dear friend,
HOWEVER
The way you told the story has tears of laughter rolling down my cheeks!  Better than any sitcom.
You could be the next Erma Bombeck.
I really am sorry for your troubles, but if you saw my laughing face you probably wouldn't believe me.
Hugs

I am faithful w/ the heart guard pills for PJ,
but the Frontline makes him so sick, I just skip it and pray.
in fact I have 4 doses of Frontline Plus (PJ is 15 pounds if that matters) that I would be delighted to mail to someone.
I just looked, it says 0-22 pounds/dog.
You can email me w/ your address to Posberg1206@yahoo.com.

That's really sweet of you, Tol.

BTW ... did you look through the Winter/Christmas avatars I did? There just might be one there for you Wink

I just made this one a few minutes ago:

http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo242/Brandi-Monkey/A-Christmas/2010/Tolerance5.gif

I reconstructed PJ's body from the treadmill picture Wink

If I send you a picture of me can you reconstruct    ?

Hahaha!

Yes, I can Wink

Yes they did he was at cousins in their 5th wheel. Thank God he was found and was safe. He was in school today. Ask grandson how he was. He said the boy was going to boot camp. I think they are sending him to a troubled youth camp for boys. But his parents need to go to some parenting classes too. I was so relieved that they found him last night and he was okay.

Thank goodness it is fixable and nothing more serious.  I tell you Trimm some times I wonder where men come from. Hubs some times act like I break things just to irritate him.

You mean you don't?

I see we are all in agreement about the menfolk.
It really was funny after I saw the house was not on fire.   Monkey Devil!

I am sure of one thing...I am not the one out in the rain hunting the new furnace part.

I've been gone most of the day. Went to Cleveland Al to animal control to rescue a senior dog about to be put down. She's a little black female ( 8lbs ) somewhere over 10 yrs old that was left in the overnight drop box. My rescue friend asked me to go look at her and see if I would rescue her. She was in a nonheated kennel that was urine soaked from the 2 large males on either side of her. She was soaked and shivering, smelly and matted. I told my sister that no way in heII was she going back in that cage so adopted her drove to Oneata to my large animal vet and they bathed her and trimmed her nails that were curled under and into the pads of her paws. He examined her and she had never been spayed and has mammary tumors and needs her teeth cleaned. She is scheduled for surgery Friday morning at 8.

When we got home the big guys were so excited. Beela was play bowing and Jazz brought her one of his treats. She is fed, warm in a nice soft bed with three hulking dogs all laying there guarding her. She is much like Furby ,she just bosses the big guys around and they are now out of their blue funk missing Furbs. She has an odd gait when she walks probably and old untreated injury but doesn't let that slow her down.

I said never again but apparently senility has set in. I'd take a picture but she is all black and it's hard to see her features.

I love your heart, 4 Donks.  I love your heart.
What will you name her?
and
WTF is an overnight drop box?           I would have to spend my nights sitting at the business end of it catching all the little misfits.....................
Are they doing surgery on more than her teeth?  Spay?  What can they do about mammary tumors?
Many hugs for all at your wonderful sanctuary.

(Probably $$$, right?)
Hope you will be warm tonight.

Aw, I love this one..........
Actually PJ has a hassock (do they still call them that?) that I have up against the wall in the great room.  He has a perfect view out the front windows and spends a lot of time there.  I will get a pic of him there tomorrow for you so you can see how close to reality your imagination is.
You are amazing.
Thank you!!

Since we are making fun of the men folk I will add my two cents - Today is my birthday - so hubby decides he will take me to a holiday party given by the new Michigan Secretary of State that we supported. I do not do the dress and nylon thing very often anymore. So he was laughing when I said I had no nylons. Said I should excersice more and then I would have some that fit!  Then he took me out to dinner and I had a yummy dessert called a mile high chocolate pie - and he says to me "perhaps that is why nothing fits you?".  Thought about slapping him but he was driving so I figured it would be a bad plan . . . I agree that you have to love them or shoot them - and shooting them makes too much paper work!   Monkey Devil!

Men just get all ahead of themselves when they talk and I love that he remembers your birthday.  Hug him for me, I bet he is one of the good guys.
