I suppose Terri could have sedated Kyron and let him off in some woods to get lost. But would a person take a chance of that? If someone wanted to get rid of a person, you wouldn't want to take a chance of the person being found alive so they could tell all.

True no rose, but if Terri gave Kyron a sedative like Ambien, which causes amnesia......if Kyron was found alive, he probably would have no recall of what happened. Then LE might suspect an "unknown" person kidnapped Kyron from school, and by the grace of God, let him go.
Ambien generally takes about 30 minutes to take affect. (probably less for a 50 lb child) If she gave it to Kyron before school, he probably wouldn't even recall being at school. BUT, if she didn't give it to him until after he was taken from school, he very likely would remember being at school, and who took him.
I'm curious to know what medications Terri was taking for her "supposedly" PPD", or depression, or any meds prescribed for her.
Ambien can be terrible for an adult    Never thought about giving something like this to a child. That is a good point, because some adults who take that don't remember things they did the next morning.

You're not supposed to be doing anything except sleep! I take it, and I make sure I'm in bed within 20 minutes. I don't stay up and do laundry and go to Wal Mart and talk on my cell phone. The only reason it has that effect on some, is because they are stupid and don't follow directions!!!! It WILL put you to sleep. Just make sure you're lying down when you go to sleep, not standing up.

Thanks Klaas. For some reason at first blush I didn't get the sense that he was the adventurous type, based only on what I had seen from the video of course. Seems that he is really into skydiving, camping and other such adventurous forms of recreation according to his facebook page.
So much for the first blush eh?

Sean and Kaine's other relatives all seem very supportive of Kaine.

It made me really sad to think that no one except Terri had gone to see Kyron's science fair exhibit. I understand that Kaine and Desiree had to work. Still so sad especially when seeing little Kyron just beaming in the picture with his tree frog project.
What if another family member was there? Is it possible?

Hypothetically speaking of course.

And if they were not how terribly sad and obvious that would be. Right?

Not likely.  You know it's not like Kaine hadn't seen the project.  Heck Kaine likely helped him with the project.  Desiree does feel bad she couldn't some up to see it but when you live 5 hours away it's hard to make it to each and every event.

I know I cannot wish for this little boy to be alive and safe somewhere but in my heart of hearts I believe that he is alive at least.
I am sure a lot of people believe that TH is involved and she just may be.
What if though? What if she isn't guilty?

If she is guilty then I hope that the courts thrown the book at her and hold her accountable to the extent available by the law.

In the meantime Kyron is still missing and I cannot help but look for "all" possible conclusions.
This one would lead to an alive little Kyron.

If it can be ruled out then fine.

Onward and upward.

That seems odd. I wonder if they have been advised by LE not to talk about the case at all or?

As for the TH's Mother didn't you say that there are ways to go in via a backdoor or? I'm not all pc savy when it comes to backdoor activities but I do know it happens.

Kyron Horman’s Family Boots WW and The Oregonian from Bizarre News Event
1:04 PM July 1st, 2010 by James Pitkin

The saga of missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman got a little more bizarre today at a news conference held this morning by the boy’s family.

The event at Brooks Hill Historic Church was arranged on Wednesday by Kyron’s father Kaine Horman, biological mother Desiree Young and her husband, Medford Police Detective Tony Young.

Absent was Terri Moulton Horman, the stepmom investigators say was the last person known to have seen Kyron before his June 4 disappearance. Kaine Horman filed for divorce and a restraining order against her earlier this week. And she’s since hired star criminal defense attorney Stephen Houze.

Today, Kaine Horman and the Youngs sat at the head of a table in a room filled with more than two dozen national and local reporters for print, TV and radio. As the meeting began at 10 a.m., Kaine Horman started out by explaining “the agenda.” This wasn’t going to be a typical press conference.

Horman said the family’s goal was to make “the story” about Kyron. With news of the divorce and investigators homing in on the stepmom, media coverage (including in WW) has increasingly focused on Kyron’s troubled family.

First came Horman’s “ground rules,” as he described them. No cameras. No recordings. Everything was off the record and couldn’t be reported, unless agreed otherwise. Horman made everyone in the room agree to these rules before proceeding. And so this roomful of reporters consented, in essence, not to be reporters.

Horman then laid out how the meeting would go. They would take questions, make some phone calls (presumably to investigators, to find out what they could say in their answers), then return and make an on-the-record statement. But first, Horman wanted all the reporters he didn’t know to introduce themselves.

KEX radio, KATU, The Portland Tribune and “Inside Edition” all got the nod from Horman. But then came Shane Kavanaugh and Bryan Denson of The Oregonian.

Horman said the family didn’t like The Oregonian’s coverage and wanted them to leave. Horman said the daily had failed to be a “team player.”

“This is a team, and if we’re not going to play as a team, there’s no point in being here,” Horman said. “This is about Kyron.”

Denson objected, saying he’s new to the story and after 28 years in journalism he’s “a pretty good reporter.” But there was no arguing. The family wanted The O gone, and a woman who said she’s a manager at the church escorted them out. The biggest newspaper in the state had been eighty-sixed.

I introduced myself and said I’m with Willamette Week. Horman said the family has the same problem with WW. I agreed to leave. And so the paper with the second-biggest circulation in Oregon was also kicked out.

As far as I was concerned, after getting kicked out all deals were off. I wasn’t going to keep the meeting off the record.

According to a reporter who stayed, the family went on to lay out more “ground rules” for the future. They said they’d hold these “news conferences” (if you can call them that) twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, as time allows. They would make prepared statements, answer some questions submitted in writing and may also do occasional interviews.

“They want us to cover Kyron, and they’re not going to get neck-deep in gossip and rumors,” the reporter said.

ABC News convinced the family to make an on-the-record statement in front of one camera, with the tape available as pool footage for other reporters. After more than an hour inside the church, the reporters were sent outside while the family stayed in to prepare a statement.

The reporter at the scene said The Oregonian had somehow gotten back on the family’s good side and was among those waiting outside to hear the prepared statement.

At shortly after 12:30, the family emerged from the church and Desiree Young gave a brief statement in which she implored Terri Moulton Horman to cooperate with investigators. She also said the family believes Kyron is still alive. Check out the video with KATU’s coverage here

Patricia

This article further explains Kaine Horman's "ground rules" regarding press conference.  Apparently the Friday press conferences are not live ... they are recorded on Thursdays.

I too was wondering why some Desiree and Kaine words were quoted in articles word for word a short time prior to the press conference yesterday.

More Notes from the Strange Press Conference with Kyron Horman’s Family
4:14 PM July 1st, 2010 by James Pitkin

As we’ve already reported, WW was kicked out of this morning’s news conference by the family of missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman.

But our reporter friends have continued to fill us in on what we missed. After mother Desiree Young gave a tearful statement, she answered some questions submitted by the media.

Here are one reporter’s notes from the question-and-answer session:

They said they were unable to answer any questions about Terri because the investigation was ongoing. Their employers have been flexible and supportive. They spend their days doing things surrounding Kyron and whatever investigators need that day. They lean on each other and use Kyron as their strength. They pray for resolution and strength each day. Not knowing where Kyron is is the most difficult part for them. Kaine said they miss Kyron’s toothless smile, belly laugh and him just being around. Kyron has a v-shaped strawberry birthmark in the middle of his forehead. when he’s upset or crying it comes out more. Kyron loves sushi and mac and cheese. He is allergic to bees like his mom.

When Kyron comes home they joked and said they’re not letting him leave the house but also said they had vacations planned, camping and fishing. They will focus on making him happy every day. They would like the community to continue what they’ve been doing. Keep Kyron’s face out there and look on their properties for him.

The family is helping with the case everyday by working with investigators and the media to make sure his face stays out there. They’re handing out fliers, getting t-shirts out there. Desiree said it is her goal for everyone any where in the world to know what Kyron looks like.

They have been fully briefed by police and they are optimistic. They are fully confident in the investigation and investigators who are doing everything they can to find Kyron.

Next week they will meet with media at 10am on Tuesday since Monday is a holiday. On Thursday they will do interviews starting at 4pm but nothing live. Everything taped as has to be held for air until Friday because Kyron went missing on a Friday.

Backdoor to photos but not to someones "wall".  If someone has their FB set to private but if a friend of theirs that is not private comments on one of their photos (on the private site) you can view that album.  That is basically how the photo albums of Terri's are being found.  Once you have the link you can view them.

Not likely.  You know it's not like Kaine hadn't seen the project.  Heck Kaine likely helped him with the project.  Desiree does feel bad she couldn't some up to see it but when you live 5 hours away it's hard to make it to each and every event.

I worked in the operating room as a nurse for 20+ years. It was IMPOSSIBLE to take time off during the day, unless you had scheduled vacation day. Schools don't give parents an itinerary of every project, event, etc. at the beginning of the school year. Generally you might have a 2-3 week notice. It was mandatory in the hospital I worked in ALL vacation requests had to be turned in 1 year in advance. NO exceptions. Even if we saved vacation days for our kids school events, etc. we wouldn't know if we could have a vacation day until that morning we wanted off.
My husband, fortunately had a little more flexibility, and did attend many of the kids activities which parents were invited.
We don't know what Desiree's employers policies are, and when and how much time she can take off. I would never criticize her for not being able to take an entire day off from her job for a school event. Lord knows, I felt horribly guilty when I couldn't attend something for one of my kids. I'm sure Desiree will torture herself forever that she didn't call in sick and go to Kyron's school that day. I wish people would just stop trashing Desiree and Kaine. They are Kyron's parents, who love him, and who Kyron loves, who has not seen his parents for almost 60 days.
If Terri Horman was hell bent on getting rid of Kyron, (IMO she was) if Desiree would have decided to come that day for Kyron's science fair, Terri would have picked another day to take him and do whatever she did with Kyron. She had a plan, a plan that included taking advantage of Desiree's absence.

Prayers for Kyron!!

I was not criticizing either Kaine or Desiree.

On Terri's side:

Ron Tarver
- Terri's ex-husband and Jame's bio dad.  James is supposed to be currently living with Ron Tarver and his wife Angela Rockwood.

Nothing about Terri at all and nothing posted about Kyron since June 6, 2010 in fact no activity on the wall at all since June 6.

Angela Rockwood - Jame's step mother married to his bio dad Ron Tarver.

Photos of James but no discussion of a missing Kyron in a long time and no talk about Terri.

Carol Moulton - Terri's mom

Facebook has been private for some time but there is indications that she has become a member of different Kyron or Terri facebook groups.

That seems odd. I wonder if they have been advised by LE not to talk about the case at all or?

As for the TH's Mother didn't you say that there are ways to go in via a backdoor or? I'm not all pc savy when it comes to backdoor activities but I do know it happens.

I was fortunate  ... over the years ... requested time off to any attend daytime school events that my kids were involved and parents invited was alway granted.  However ... it was a given that hubby would not be there.  Anyways ... most school events were held in the evenings.

I don't believe for a minute, no matter what has been printed by the media that the news conference that Kaine and Desiree did yesterday was taped from Thursday.

I believe it was live.

They also appeared on nightline last night wearing the same clothes.
