Hi monkeys~just stopping by for a quick rant...........I am furious about the prez trying to indoctrinate our children and the proposed speech next Tuesday. My best friend in Vegas is keeping her son home and having him read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and she was curious about how my son's school was going to handle it knowing we are in a highly conservative part of the country and she asked me to call. I followed up on her request today, and basically our principal was livid as I am and refuses to show it, he has already had many parents call him voicing their concern and promising to keep their kids home if this was going to be shoved doen the kids throats by a pansy @ss manchurian candidate (his words  ). Anyway, he asked me to pls send an email voiving my concerns and he will keep them all to back up his decision to not show the prez next week. He did say that he would dvd it for any parent that wants it, but they must take it and watch in the privacy of their own home and not on school grounds. So, if you are the slightest bit concerned, call your school to frind out their policy and follow up with emails.

I'm just grateful my son's school is a patriotic charter school, but not everyone is so fortunate and thought I'd pass along the tips I've rec'd!

Thanks for listening to my rant, but I'd had it with this administration and their attempt to systematically dismantle every right we fought so hard to obtain.

Island Monkey I am with you - Liberty!!  Although I do not have kids in school I do know that many parents I work with have called the schools in our area and the schools are NOT going to participate in this complete debacle and did tell those who were calling that they have been receiving lots and lots of calls.  Power to the people!
