Well I find Annis Harrell in 1992 living in Lucedale so it would seem she wasn't married to Wharton yet?  Or perhaps she didin't change her name... who knows.  I find the Harrell family moved from alabama to Lucedale, MS in the late 1880s or early 1900s and there are many of them living there.  Several businesses run by Harrells there and there is a Harrell road there.  However, with all my searching, I have not been able to discover who her husband was.  I have a few possibilites but nothing concrete yet.  I will try searching more tomorrow.  Have a good night monkeys.

Good info Banana's thank you - it would be interesting to know what Harrell's first name is - and he could have been from Alabama they are awfully close.  I am very curious to know where he is now.

I just realized JH's middle name is Mitchell.  I did find a Mitchell Harrell in the Public Records Index 1989

I think she married Richard Wharton in 1990. Married until 2005.

guys right from the beginning i was convinced whoever the killer was would be watching boards and probably in the crowd somewhere... i still want to believe that but after looking at all pics of all mystery men is vids and all his pics via his moms fb i do not think either brown coat white shirt or black shirt are him... jmo and i've been looking for whatever vid i thought i saw black shirt guy in but i can't so i dunno

After four months of waiting and wondering what the latest was in the Somer Thompson death investigation, some neighbors are confident that authorities got the suspect who fits the crime.
Mizelle says while some of her Orange Park neighbors have become complacent, most families have remained nervous, but vigilant since the day Somer disappeared.

"The kids, they're not kids anymore. They've lost a lot. And it's a shame that we had to see them lose some innocence."

Mizelle thinks it's time for stricter laws so people like Harrell are not allowed near children.

Mine too Rose....I could crawl through the screen and rip his head off. Why these people are allowed to still be on the streets, I will never know. Anyone that touches a child should be locked up for life or better yet give them the needle. I get so angry, what is there about a little child that turns someone on? Just pure evil.
