I know of a very lovely home in Texas that has an old iron bed, with head board, footboard and both rails attached ( all set up and painted white) in the front yard, with beautiful flowers growing inside.  It's a "flower bed".   I used to see it when I would drive there to visit my sister and I used to wonder why these people had this old bed in their front yard and one day it just hit me that these people had a sense of humor.   

I get it a flower bed.

Tires, yes, old bathtubs part in the ground and the Blessed Virgin Mary sitting in it, but never a commode with flowers in it 


Sounds attractive, huh? But it actually did look pretty cool, except in the winter, then it just looks like a dirty old toilet!

Never have seen bathtubs like that outside, except in the country where people use them for flower beds. 

Oh JSM, I've seen them where I live using old commodes for flowers! Brings a whole new meaning to living in the sticks! 

  I've seen commodes too and Tractor Tires used as flower beds too!

    You know what? There's something about that bed of flowers that looks a little too much like a grave to me!

LOL about the stories of when ya'll were kids.  I often wonder how we survived too.  Son & I had an experience just the other day with a huge bike wreck with gravel in the hands & knees and a 2.5 mile walk with 2 bikes and a 55lb little boy who is not so little anymore.  Why do things always seem like a good idea at first?   

Oh & Klaas must love her new photoshop software!   

I'm not sure about this one...    looks like having a difficult BM.

STUPID QUESTION I don't know anything about video recorders. My sister recorded me on one yesterday and she gave me what looks like a cassette tape. Does anyone know how to get that cassette downloaded to a DVD/CD so I can download it to my computer? TIA JSM

I must be really stupid because I always thought you needed the actual recorder and a USB cord to download it.
