Good Morning Monkeys! Welcome to all the New Monkeys I have missed.

I posted last night , not sure if you saw it....but there is a pic of Cain somewhere in cage in the last 2 months. He is sitting at a desk. Monkeys commented that he was not KC"s type. I don't know how to go back and find it...but sure some smart Monkey can. IIRC he has blonde hair. I am thinking it was right around the time of the Feb. 19th doc dump.

Casey Anthony’s lawyers said they aren’t surprised the State is now going for the death penalty against the mother accused of killing her 2-year old daughter, Caylee Marie.

From CNN:

Anthony’s attorneys say the move is to intimidate Casey Anthony and prosecutors will not get a plea from her.

In her own handwriting, Anthony once claimed in a court motion, the State offered her a plea deal and she turned it down.

With Jose Baez unqualified to lead a death penalty case (he doesn’t have enough legal experience or death penalty experience to lead a death penalty defense case), Baez’s stance remains strong. He said nothing will change for Anthony’s defense because at least 3 other attorneys on the defense team are death-penalty qualified.

Casey Anthony’s lawyers filed a notice on Tuesday that they will depose an Orange County sheriff’s deputy and a corrections officer on May 5th.

The state attorney’s office initially said it would not seek the death penalty, but changed that decision with a court filing Monday afternoon.

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee Anthony.In nearly 100 years, a Florida jury has sentenced only 16 women to death, and most of those sentences were later thrown out for various legal reasons.

“Very few women are put to death in Florida,” defense attorney Jose Baez said. “She’s not a serial killer.”

There are 392 people sitting on Florida’s death row, and only one, Tiffany Cole, is a woman.Cole was convicted of kidnapping a husband and wife from Duval County and burying them alive.

Two women have been executed in the state of Florida in the past 85 years, serial killer Eileen Wurenos and Judy Buenoano.

Buenoano earned the nickname “The Black Widow” for poisoning her husband with arsenic in 1971. She later drowned her paralyzed son in a lake and tried to blow up her boyfriend with a car bomb.

 Anthony is charged with murdering a child, a crime that juries rarely find worth of capital punishment.A South Carolina jury rejected the death penalty for Susan Smith in 1995. She was convicted of murdering her two young sons.

Andrea Yates was given a life sentence by a Houston jury for drowning her five children in a bath tub. Texas executes more people than any other state.

 Orange County prosecutors did not seek the death penalty against Kenya Hill. While already on probation for child abuse, authorities found the body of hill’s four-year-old daughter decomposing in a South Orange Blossom Trail motel room that was covered in trash and soaked with urine.

The child’s skull had been fractured and she had contusions on her neck.  Hill was convicted of second-degree murder.

The corrections officer said Casey Anthony watched live TV coverage of the discovery of Caylee's remains and hyperventilated and asked for a sedative that day. Even though it was a few more weeks until the remains were positively ID'd as Caylee's.

Hi all monks, and welcome to all the new monkeys.  I've been wondering for a while about something, and now might be a good time to ask, while everything is slow.

We have heard that Lee was very sick at some point during his teenage years.  Do we know what the problem was?  I'm not saying we should pry into his medical history; it's not our business.  I might have missed it though, if details have come out.

Could whatever it was have anything to do with him being kind of, well, off?  Or do you all think that's just his personality and upbringing?

It could be, but I believe he is developmentally disabled to a degree. I have wondered if he is a high functioning autistic adult. He has the facial expressions and the mannerisms of a high functioning autistic person.

I think you may be onto something.  One of my 19 year old twin boys has Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism characterized by impaired social abilities, single minded (and I do mean that literally,) absorption of detail, developmental delays and a host of other problems.  He's a sweetie pie, but can be inappropriate at times.  He's very high functioning but now that you mention it, I can see Lee has that same inablility to see when his behavior is unacceptable.  They are often very bright, but have difficulty in social settings or school situations unless specifically guided to an appropriate response.

I did not make it to Orlando.  My 10 month old son was involved in an accident which caused him and the family to spend the previous evening and early morning in the ER.  Followed up by an office visit to the doctor yesterday. 

As much as BJ gets on our nerves, we need him.  He is giving KC want she deserves--a conviction   I've said it before, BJ and the rest of the defense team is so unlikeable and add to the hatred that the public has for skank.  If you look at the polls that the news media are conducted, over 90% believes she should have the death penalty.

Do you think it would be possible to impose whatever sentence Casey receives on Jose Baez as well? I'm friends with a bunch of monkeys who'd all like to see him ride old sparky along with the slore. They could even share a final Twizzler together.
