On June 10, 2005 two official Aruban representatives released statements to the media that one of the suspects admitted the "something bad happened" to Natalee Holloway, she was confirmed dead, the location of her body was known, and authorities/family were being led to the scene by the suspect who made the admission.

From the Dr. Phil Motion to Compel:

Didn't Anita say a statement was taken by Joran but it was retracted because of the time limit of interrogating a suspect.  What was the exact time she talking about.

Actually, we have a statement by Joran at 14:30 on June 10..but I wonder how much that statement was changed prior to ALE typing it up.

In the end I just hope they don't try to say it was Professor Bullwinkle down at Baby Beach with a plate of salmonella covered grouper.

Your forgot to mention anti-Beth Easy, making some hateful remarks about Beth.

Don't trust the translation, or the reason we have to be slimed by any more bull&^*( from the raping murdering Van der sloots.

It's sick and manipulative.

Frank - I understand how you feel.  If people are going to bring bits and pieces of Ramm's translation here I'd just as soon have it in one spot.  I look at it the same way as having the Deepak emails.

JORAN'S first 6/10/05 statement at 14:30

BETH and DAVE swab and blood samples 14:40

klaas - the June 10 14:30 statement from Joran is the one we
have. It doesn't really have anything about the night. We don't have his second one from 6/10 (at 19:00+ hours, or 7:00 something p.m.).

GOOD MORNING ALL!

I've added Ramm's ongoing translation of Joran's book in the Important Case Document thread.  Ramm has completed through chapter 3:

http://www.scaredmonkeys.net/viewtopic.php?t=1117

What is the significance of the numbering?

Which numbering EASY?  You mean the 1,2,3 in chapter 1?  I think it's just the order of the bullet points is all.

Edited to add:  Looks like Ramm dropped the numbering in the next chapters.

page 11 (last page of chapter 1)

1. Joran does not feel his roots are in the Netherlands (good, we don't feel you are dutch either)

A funny side comment by Ramm here. Who hasn't Joran whizzed on yet? He doesn't seem to like the Dutch. He laughs at the boycott against Aruba. It's clear he's trying to set the Kalpoes up for the crime in the book. Somebody squeal on this bastard!

Joran:  I want to change my statement.

Officer:  Why?

Joran:  Well, I lied in that first statement.

Officer:  Okay

Joran:  Can I change the new statement?

Officer:  Why?

Joran:  I didn’t like the sound of my new lie and want to change it to another lie.

Officer:  Okay, but you can only change your lies 35 times before we expect you to STFU!

Yes, I just posted that above.  We have no idea how much that statement was changed prior to it being submitted.  Joran must have said something in that 14:30 statement that gave ALE reason to ask Dave and Beth for samples, IMO.

DNA Samples

!! Way to go, klaas !!

In terms of process, I don't believe polis officials ask for DNA samples in advance of need --

Do you believe these two events: the 14:30 jvds witness statement and swab/blood samples at 14:40 ARE LINKED AND SEQUENTIAL? Meaning that the 14:30 statement LED TO the request for DNA samples...

FYI - I have no idea who runs this website out of Aruba but they appear to update often durring the day with current news.  The search of the VDS was in English and Pap.  I check it often for updates.  Nothing regarding the case in the last couple days though.

Not a good idea Anna because that would mean you would have to hear my NY accent. Shocked

And you mine!   Very Happy I'd put you to sleep, lol!

I kind of like regional accents, they are interesting and I fear will go away now that everybody learns to talk from the TV. I would like to hear it.  I listen Michael Savage all the time and he has one, too.  Just makes what is said, in a concert of accents, all the better.

DEEPAK:  Freddie needs to tell the truth!

The fisherman's hut/left her on the beach story is very bad for the Kalpoes because it leave it open that one or both of them went back for Natalee.

Therefore, that is NOT the TRUTH Deepak is wanting Freddie to tell.

What is it that he wants Freddie to tell?

Could Freddie actually have been spending the night or called over that late as stated by Melody/Anita?  What is it the Kalpoes want him to say exactly that they feel would exonerate them?

Maybe that they left an unconscious Natalee with Joran at the Sloot residence and Freddie was either there or called?  Does Freddie know the Kalpoes went on home leaving Joran and Natalee at Joran's apartment and that is the truth they want him to tell?

They do NOT want him to corroborate the beach story for sure.

So if not this, just what is it they want him to tell?

Hammer - we have Joran's 14:30 statement and their is no confession in it, but was that statement changed?  Yes, seems quite coincidental that Joran gives a statement and Beth and Jug are immediately asked for DNA samples..don't you think?

HAMMER - the other question is what was found at the rock scene?  Was there blood all over the place?  Did they have reason to believe Natalee died there?

Edted to add:  The aru-bay site started uploading the rock videos to their website on June 11th.  That means that the video was very likely taken on June 10th.

Exactly Klaas.  This is why I asked what time was he brought in for questioning.  If it was the early morning they had plenty of time to edit it to their liking.
