I'm perplexed why this all happened and she has a child of her own. Seems to me her own child would be her target not a neighborhood child. Children are often killed by their own parent and we all know that the mother is sometimes responsible.

I am with you Rob.  I surely thought she would have a male accomplice.  A body in a suitcase how much would that weigh?  What is the motive here?

I suspect you will find some sort of mental illness involved here. Have you seen a photo of the suspect? She looks either mentally ill or on drugs.

Why would it be that we have to wait till trial for the cause and or manner of death?   That seems odd to me.  Doesn't Calf. release autopsy results?  Won't they have to give basics at arraignment?

I'll just add, this could have started out as child abuse, as in beating/punishing the victim and simply escalated into murder. It does seem like a crime of opportunity more than one of premeditation but we don't really know enough facts yet.

I think I made a comment yesterday about WS, someone had posted something about this woman may have been helping Sandra, I said before we make her out to be a hero, lets find out of she is a murder. Maybe that upset someone. wouldn't be the first time I upset someone and won't be the last. This is over though. I appreciate you all know I had nothing to do with it but I hope to be responsible to help bring down the child porn ring  in this town.
People are applauding and saying thank you to this detective, yes they solved the crime, so did we. Thankfully it was an easy one,kwim?  I will say thank you once the pedophiles in my town are locked  up and my children are truly safe. Lets drop this though, I am sitting here at my home ready to boil eggs so my children can color them. I am not in a jail cell nor do I know anyone involved although I have seen them certain places in town. So lets move on and again thank you.

According to Blink's latest webposting she tried to claim mentally unstable for the theft charges currently against her, but she was evaluated and found to be fine, she then plead guilty to the charges.
I could see drug abuse though.  I am just sitting here going    not what I expected.

Yes I agree he looked exhausted and very saddened.  It was nice to hear that the farm workers passed on the reward, now maybe those funds can go to help the family with the burrial expenses or aid in the search of other missing children.  I have never understood the need to be rewarded for doing the right thing, but then again I am not in anyone elses possition here.

That's my thought.  At one point they said they have not found the murder weapon.  Also, the cadet hasn't been interviewed again.  Was he quieted or was he making it up?

it would be highly unusual for this to be due to sexual assault. now in terms of using poisons and drugs, those are generally 'thought' to be females instruments of choice, particularly for repeat killers.

it looks like this was a crime of 'convenience' thus far as opposed to being planned ahead of time and her actions and apparent thought processes indicate a high level of disorganization. with the report of her having drugged another child first who survived it seems whatever was driving her was escalating, and her hospitalization seems to indicate some sort of self harming, but im puzzled as to why shed be released if that were the case.

Thinking like a crime novelist there As!  That is a possibility, draw someone out under the thought that it was over on their part, but wouldnt they still be freightfull that Melissa would roll over on them?

Ya know.. Media and the LE Sgt are still leading out with Melissa being a 'sunday school teacher'.  And yet Blink has discovered that Melissa lied about being a sunday school teacher AT the clover baptist church, altho she evidently is one at a different church in a different town.  In a sense, the Sgt and media are being (IMO) misleading by continuing to describe her as such, without mentioning at the same time that she lied about being one at the local church.

Why would this woman have access to her grandfather’s church that by all accounts has no more than 15 members and has not had actual services in years? The last confirmed continuing education classes I can track Lawless to is in 2007.
