Botanist Jane Bock told jurors that her study of what she calls leaf litter at the site where Caylee's skull was found indicated that the skeletal remains could have been there for a minimum of two weeks when they were discovered on Dec. 11, 2008.

Bock's assessment that the remains could have been in the wooded area for just a few weeks gives a boost to the defense. Anthony was in jail in the weeks leading up to the discovery of Caylee's remains.

Bock also testified that the leaves found in Casey Anthony's car do not match the leaves found with Caylee's remains.

Upon cross examination, Bock acknowledged that the remains could have been there as little as two weeks or much longer. Caylee's skull was found with leaves up to the jawline.

Do you recall a week or two? ago when NG said that there were some new photos released that were not pixelated, which she was opting not to show? I did a google search to see if they'd been posted online...  there is a website that shows Caylee's skeleton all laid out on a table (probably at the ME's office).. and the imagine image in the picture we're looking at does not look like just a hip bone- well, not in my opinion, but I could be wrong.

Did you all notice that one of April Whelan's charges involve uttering forgery and petit theft?  She and Casey had an awful lot in common!  I wonder if she's the one who called in the tip,or if it was one of the other inmates.

I'm the one that first noticed it and said it was a skull...I can also see where it could be hip bones...fact is, it seemed to call out to me no matter what part of Caylee it is....sorry if I got it wrong

The story about this other inmate' child drowning confirms & bolsters Dr G's testimony that anyone that came upon a child drowning would call 911 no matter the condition of the child at the time

Another thing that I was thinking about, the entire concept of putting duct tape being placed after decomposition is INSANE because a person would have to have gone in three bags & a blanket to get to the skull.   There would be evidence that the blanket and bags were disturbed.

No reason to apologize...many of us saw it that way as well. In fact it still appears that way to me. It really does not matter anyway, as you said it is part of Caylee's remains either way...

I don't understand why a disinterested third party would care if the mandible stayed attached to the skull or not.  No reason for someone like Kronk to put duct tape anyway that I can think of.
