I had him but he ran from the house and kids screaming after I ate all of the Valium yesterday. Sorry!

Darn it, I sure could use one or two 

I could use some more today too - between the kids - one who came home from school sick but miraculously recovered soon after entering the house - and my hubby with a new computer at work and bugging me to no end - I miss the kitty!

  I don't know how much we have gotten. I just pray my power stays on because everywhere I stopped to get fire logs were out. My neighbor has wood, but I don't know how to start a fire without a duraflame log.

Hi Monks.  I'm sorry to barge in, but I need some Monkey help.  Please pray that we find my brother Bob's dog, Curby.  He was lost yesterday around 1 PM in a snowstorm and we are frantic to find him.  I left a request in the prayer thread.  Thanks and love to you all.   

Numbers, my prayers are with your brother and Curby. Please God let this pup be safe.

How in the world in Texas do you have this much snow  I'm stunned, when I think of Texas snow isn't one of the things. Stay safe and warm.  Have plenty of Baileys, always do 

  It is suppose to snow another two inches No Rose. The roads are going to be h*ll in the morning. I have to at least get to the bank because they closed early this afternoon. I guess I will walk to the bank if need be. Luckily there are two within a few blocks from my apartment.

NoRose, Green Eyes, Brandi & Northern Rose...thank you so much for prayers!  Curby is much loved and has gotten my brother through some very difficult times.  We just have to find him.   

I sure hope Curby is with a family and safe and sound. I am praying for Curby and your brother right now Numbers.

A Beer for Stronger Bones? This Study's Not For You

For beer drinkers, a new study that suggests beer is a significant source of a mineral key to maintaining bone density may sound too good to be true.

That may well be, say health experts who overwhelmingly agree the the connection may be more wishful thinking than solid science.

But that may not stop many brew lovers from viewing the new research as an excuse to order another round. The study of 100 commercial beers in the February issue of the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture by Charles Bamforth and Troy Casey of the University of California Davis examined the silicon content that results from different ingredients and brewing processes.

"Silicon impacts bone mineral density in humans, and supplementing silicon in the diets of osteoporitic women increased bone mineral density," the authors wrote. Hi Brandi, I am way behind because I keep getting knocked out of the cage. I'm sorry you feel invisible.  I hope your snow is melting and you are staying warm. Just an FYI, we had a salesman that came in from New Orleans today and I showed him Josef's avatar and he thought that was the greatest thing he had ever seen. Then I showed him Josef's Mardi Gras outfit and he told me how talented I was in dressing Josef up and I had to tell him a monkey did it not me. Then he looked at me like I was crazy.
