Hi JSM, Looks like we are finally getting a break in the weather, 80's by Monday didn't think we'd ever get down there again!

Hope your wrist is letting up and they figure out whats going on with it.

I agree about 4 donks, don't know how she does it!!!!!  Thinking about even lifting 1 bale of hay let alone 50, nope couldn't even go there.....

Hope you and Jo get some much needed rest this weekend and that his tummy doesn't act up.  Oh and that includes CC, no acting up, be a good boy for a change.....haha......

Can't wait for the weather break Babs!!! Wish it would rain and put the fires out.

I don't know how 4 donks does it either. I am falling apart or she is super human 

Joe will be getting rest and staying at school on Saturday until Sunday night. His tummy is horrible. Gonna put him on steroids I think, his food is still not agreeing with him and he has lost 3 pounds. Vet doesn't get back until Tuesday.

CC will be behaving this weekend, I miss him.

Granddaughter just left.She was very chatty this evening.I really enjoyed our visit.She seems to be turning a corner,she has started back to church and told me she got saved.
She seems to be feeling better.A couple of weeks and she will have another checkup.

My Lord..4 Donks..now this is getting out of hand..that's alot of hay for ladies our age to be toting around the barn.  You need to hire a teenage boy to do that kind of work for you..your back ..knees and feet will thank you.

I say this with all respect..I know you are in great shape and love being independent..but God made young men for a reason...they need to work off all that pent up energy.. or even a middle aged man with a forklift would do nicely helping to stack the hay bales in the barn.

I wish there was someone around I could hire but the available men only show up if they need beer money and the young guys are all into sports. I was going to leave the bales on the trailer but then I was concerned that all that weight on the wheel with the blown tire would bend the rim if I left it loaded. I think the 25 I took off and stacked will take the weight off that wheel. Plan on leaving the rest of the hay on the trailer. Most of the hay I buy is in the 6' round bales but they are moved with the tractor. I have a spear on the 3 point on the back and a spear on the bucket on the front. A child can move those things with the tractor. I really do use the equipment if at all possible to save the old body.

Now, to go ahead and work it out by walking on it, or to stay low and not walk too much until it is all better, is the question.

No Brandi, we decided not to go.  It seems it is packing more rain than first thought.  If it clears, or when it clears, we may go later next week for a few days.  Hubs can work while there - and I can beach it!

Click on Profile at the top of this page, then go to "Forum Profile Information" on the left ... then under Picture, click the THIRD radio button: "I will upload my own picture" option. I decided to lay low and keep letting my knee heal. I was going to go to Sam's Club with hubby, but thought better of it, since whatever I am doing now has been helping it get better. Thanks for your like advice.

Have a great time at the wedding. Good thing you got a room for the night. I don't like driving at night on unfamiliar roads alone anymore either.

Glad to hear our knee is feeling better. We are expecting TS Lee to start affecting us tomorrow evening so the Labour Day cookout is cancelled. I don't like to leave the dogs alone if it is storming.(even though the thunder vests work). Will be forced to stay in and rest. Only the barn and donks need me to go out. They are predicting 6"-10" of rain with some areas getting more.I hope this helps with the drought and doesn't just run off. If we are getting it you won't be far behind. REST that knee.....

I did the right thing, not going shopping. It's a little more tender tonight, but I believe on the mend.
