 Subject: My son has been shot in Falujah..

I wanted to get everyone to pray for my son Chad. Today, Sunday, I got a call from the Army that my son had been shot in the head. I am asking for all your prayers. He was in a Humvee going through Falujah fighting and a gang of militia fighters fired on the Humvee and hit Chad in the head. The driver got him out of the city and took him to Baghdad. He was in fatal condition, but now has been upgraded to stable critical. His dad and I are on standby to fly to Washington then on to Germany as soon as the military calls us to go. The Army is trying to stabilize him enough to fly to Germany and at that time we will leave.. Please pray that my son will not have brain damage and that he will be restored and healed by the blood of Jesus, and the grace of God. I ask for you to pass this prayer request on so there will be many prayer warriors praying for him.

Thank you so much and I will try to keep you updated on his condition.

I agree with Nancy that we are too quick to judge and also believe it not necessary to smear the families of the accused.  who cares if Joran's little brother is overweight.  maybe he has a thyroid problem.

I emailed Oreilly and left Fox a message ( I did my internship with them).  They should call back.  Called a local Fox channel that is contacting main office.  They are the same guy!!!

I want to bring something up that I have not seen much recent speculation about. As more people are being "detained" and/or arrested, and as NH's mom seems to have expected this (and may still expect more), it's beginning to seem a bit more likely that jvds and the kalpoes are either part of (or drew upon the resources of) some sort of organized scene (drug dealers? underground partiers? porn producers?)?

I've also read that it's possible that, even in what would SEEM to be the  worst-case scenario from their point of view (being found guilty of murder), the boys could face a maximum sentence of 20 years' jailtime.

If organized crime is involved, particularly drug-related, might not that sentence be lighter than what would happen if JVDS and friends revealed a larger network? Is it possible that they are keeping quiet (as we assume they are doing, mostly) because "telling" could result in future threats to their lives?

Or maybe that's too Sopranos-y. Just a thought.

Yes, it seems very possible to me that Natalee's disappearance is linked to an organized operation of some kind.  I don't know what a possible motive for murder might have been, but if Natalee is alive in the seedy part of another island (which right now would be my guess), Dutch-bag and the Scum Bros. probably couldn't have done it themselves.  Somebody would have to transport her, and somebody would probably have to receive her for whatever "business" they may be involved in.

No matter what anyone's opinion of Aruba law enforcement, I find it difficult to believe that those three could do whatever happened so professionally that three weeks later investigators still don't know what went down.

Greta kept saying the other night not to focus to hard on the three that were arrested.  I think she knows what is going on!

But Natalee's mom, who gets daily briefings from the FBI, is absolutely convinced the answer lies with those three.  

BTW, Nat's mom, Beth Twitty, is talking about how Joran approached her as she was sitting in the car the night of Natalee's disappearance.  She said he was condescending, arrogant, and acted like he was powerful.

So, as for the "OJ had a good reputation too" post, that is actually an honest and true account.  OJ did have a good reputation.

No, I just want to be able to read the threads.  Especially when gone for awhile it's next to impossible to find reall news and updates.

AND, I don't think it's o.k. to take sketchy info from a random clerk's email indicating this latest suspect has a criminal record for sexual crimes unless we dig a little further.  He may well have such a record, but it's really not fair to create something that's not sourced a little better.

As one of the latest reports indicated it's really uncertain how serious an arrest is in Aruba.  Here we know there's a standard that must be met before an arrest is made.  In Aruba it's far different...the report reminded listeners this Steve arrest could be very serious...or, it could be he merely got a phone call or something really minor....it's how they do things in Aruba.

I understand where you are coming from, but when you are on here all day and all night with tips, clues, etc, or waiting on Dan's stories you have to have humor, to stay sane.  Some of us have literall been on here since day one and have became addicted to this site.  We cant help but support eachother, and try to make light of things at times by making jokes.  When people follow cases like these they have a tendency to become depressed and lonely.  This case has became part of our lives.  Natalee is our daughter, our sister, etc.  So please take this into consideration when you see a joke.  Not to mention there are times when no news is coming in.

And a whole lot MORE of us are also here day in, day out, 24/7 and care JUST AS MUCH as those of you who have to tell everyone each time you come in and each time you leave and how much you care and how tired you are of sitting at the puter and so forth.  We just aren't rude enough to take up all the bandwidth and space with chitchat that bogs everything down.

I'm a member, too, and a very good researcher, but I was unable to even get in here most of today, until a little while ago, much less post anything.  It shouldn't be that way.

I have to agree we need to keep this thread case focused.  I think a case related discussion is great...if this were only news we'd lose the ability to discuss the reports, evidence, etc.  It's just respectful to keep discussions case related, especially when it's busy.

I know Red and Tom are glowing in the honeymoon of all these hits to the site...but, believe me it all changes as the case changes...if the goal is to build a community that works here then changes have to be made to make it easier to read threads, etc.

I suppose they must have a good reason for allowing threads to get this long and unwieldy...but, I can't imagine what it is.

I've enjoyed all the folks here and hope we can all work together to make this easier.

Hey guys, you have to understand this is a work in progress. We want all of you to be able to come on read and comment on the posts. We have just now done our fourth server upgrade in less than 2 weeks to accomodate all of you. I wouldn't say honeymoon, its more like baptism by fire. We love that fact that so many people have come to our site as a news source and discussion group. 99% of you have been fantastic. we realize along with this comes responsibility and we have been making every effort to work through the growing pains.

We aim to please but remember it cannot be done over night. Not to long ago everyone was commenting on the main posting section of the blog. Remember that fun? LOL. Eventhough some still do comments over there you have to admit we have all come a long way.

There are growing pains. The work behind the scenes that no one sees it beyond words. Please realize that.

We had a little discussion about the comment that a piece of foam was found that appeared to have teethmarks on it.  And we looked closer at the underwear, which looks like the new type of ladies underwear called "boy boxers".
