[Northern Rose]

We all need Northern to come over to our houses with her talents and comfort foods, or we could all move up to Canada and be Northern's neighbors 

I'm ready.Hubby can have this place for a while.

Lots of room up here for everyone.  Just bring a shovel, skates and a hockey stick!  I can not wait till it gets cold enough to flood the back for the skating/curling rink. 

I think I would like to try curling.
I used to skate a lot as a kid......................long long ago.  But I loved it.   Our park district flooded the tennis courts yearly and I spent many a day, afternoon and evening there.  We also had a lagoon downtown that made wonderful skating possible.  I remember friends, crack the whip, and huge bonfires at the end by the shelter.  What great memories.

Tuffy and Russ.  Russ has a very sad story.  His dad was a HUGE Toronto fan.  He went through a depression and killed himself within 12 months, before Russ made it into the NHL.  Russ was then signed on with Toronto after his dad's death and his Dad never got to see him play.  Russ skated this for his dad last night.  I cried during the whole skate as I was watching it last night.

They were great. What a sad story Northern. Made me cry.

Me too great memories of skating. Now, I don't want to break a hip  and I can guarantee that would happen with me.

That sounds wonderful.  Crack the whip and fires, then when the kids get tired the adults take over the ice and do some backyard curling.  We freeze 4ltr milk jugs with coloured water for the rocks and of course have some nice rum and whatever to keep us warm.  Lots of laughs, usually throw together whatever people have in their fridge potluck after which has always turned out to be the best.

I could add Baileys to the hot chocolate, but I have stopped drinking altogether, it interferes with my medicine

Don't be sorry, you know I will use the excuse that Thanksgiving and Christmas is coming, and some Baileys will be tipping in some kind of glass or mug

I love curling, but it is so much more expensive than skating so I chose skating. Plus I fall when I curl.

I got off and on the stool so many times to check about smears on the wardrobe, I'm exhausted

I get ends of rolls of newsprint paper (clean, not printed on ) from my carrier.
Cleaning glass w/ that paper ENDS smears.
It is very much like packing paper that movers use.
Maybe that would help you?

Just got through last weeks episode of Hoarders. 

Why do I even watch that show when I know there are going to be sick/dead animals in the house. This lady's house wasn't as bad as the other cat lady, but it was gross. 

I just can't watch that show without getting a panic attack, my obsessive compulsive behavior does not tolerate messes, and it disturbs me to see that 

It disturbs me too No Rose, especially when these people think they are helping animals, and only to find 36 cats and only 13 alive and one that had just had kittens under the bed the night before.  It was horrible. Then the old b*tch got all bent out of shape because they took her stuff in biohazard bags because by law they couldn't let her keep it or take it to the dump. I wanted to jump up and slap her.
