GE I never go to Malls. Ever. I guess bec I was a Sales Clerk for many years.
Straight out of High School I worked from 85-89 - I worked retail at a major dept store - HAH my hourly wage was 3.02 an hour. Can you believe that. No commission.
while going to school... For the last many years-  I have hated Malls and I hate the clothes too. I worked automotive for 11 yrs office - the Damn nylons and skirts .. and all ..then I switched careers - I never had to buy clothes because I worked in a Spa/Salon and could only wear black - that was for many years - so Target was my best friend. Black tshirts, black leggons and my combat boots. Very industrial yet holistic spa.  Then I worked for a plastic surgeon and wore scrubs every day.
I went on a shopping spree about a month ago or so .. spent 100.00 at KMART lol. I got some great stuff too.  I love to go into the Mens dept and buy my shorts. They are chamo and are mid thigh .. you can't tell their guys at all. 11.00 a pair.  Even when I was driftwood and weighed 105lbs .. I never wore short shorts ..never shorter than mid thigh. I no like to show my skin. I am too much of a tomboy I guess.
I feel if you put your money into your skin and hair ( not even within Salon every 6 wks - thats bs too) but attempt to keep( your hair)  healthy and trimmed up .. and keep your skin (face/neck) healthy .. doesn't matter what you wear. As long as your comfortable with it .. who care's what others think.  Me Levi's a nice pair of boots and Jacket - with white Tshirt under.. Its good. Nice boots as in quality not pleather. I have a beautiful pair of black cowboy boots - they have a pointed toe and are sweet. Paid not a mint but paid enough for them that I feel confident in wearing them.
Who needs labels ... not Me.

I am with you I wear what I am comfortable in. Have for years. I use to go to the malls but haven't really gone for some time. To many people and all that. Like I said I use to buy what I liked from whatever store it was in. Labels don't mean anything to me either. If I like it I like it. So go with what you like. I never wanted or thought I had to act or dress a certain way to fit in with the crowd. I am me!
Thats the Best way to Be GE .. Happy

I am not going to try to put any fuel on the fire that Kermit just posted. I will say that when I LiveSearched the addy today, it is right smack in the middle of the glades and very, very close to Imokalee and is very secluded. For what it is worth.

Fanny, when you say in the middle of the glades, are you talking swamp land and alligators?  I am only familiar with the everglades.

If you live search the addy that was listed for the pool cleaning service, which I believe was a business done out of the home, you will see it is part of Big Cypress Swamp and is part of the Everglades. It is close to Alligator Alley. Some of it is farmland, mostly cane fields and vegetables. Imokalee is right on the edge of the glades. There are dry and wet places there. That is the best I can describe it. Maybe someone can do a better job of it than me.

When I used to drive down there, it was a long way down that way with not much of anything. Maybe it has changed. But from what I am seeing, it has not. JMO

Hello Fanny Mae and monkeys.   Just wanted to comment that this is a pretty accurate description of that area.

I know someone mentioned that a certain company website was down.  Apparently whoever took it down is not aware that when you google it there are two links one labled  "cached" and one labeled "similar" under each hit.  Click  the cached one and see how much good all that deleting has done.  I will say again.

I am the same, if I like it I buy it.  I have no clue what is in fashion or not, I know what I like, what I am comfortable in and that is what I get.

Nope never.  When I was little we were on a farm in the middle of no where, had little money for something as useless as a TV.  I think I saw my first TV when I was in grade one at the neighbours and it was B&W.  I even remember the first show I saw, the Redd Skeleton show.  I cried when that man passed away God rest his soul.

We as a family got a Color TV when I was 4 ish and my brother 5 ..and it was very small. It was in our kitchen maybe a 13 inch screen.
My brother and I were amazed at the Color .. and we did a horrible thing to that TV ..
We took magnets and would run them across the top of the TV to watch the colors trip out - GASP.  Omg we destroyed the TV ..
My Dad and I just talked about " that TV" not so long ago ..he said You have to know I paid a lot of money for that TV and you kids ..  TSK TSK...
I guess we thought it was All too much and we didn't understand -
Omg how now our kids can watch movies from their cell phone ....

John's Dad loves Red Skelton. We found a place to order a couple of DVD's of the Red Skelton show as part of his Christmas, and he put them in to play. I loved it!! What a sweet, sweet man. My favorite part of the whole show was the way he ended every episode with "Good night and God Bless". Just the way he said it, you knew he really meant it!
