Is this correct: neither the prosecution nor the state could bring up the pasts of either Martin or Zimmerman in the opening statements, but either side could (state or defense) if one talks about (state: George being in trouble with law) (defense: Trayvon was a little boy).

Or is TM's past totally off limits as is Georges?

I think that if either prosecutor or defense brings up past events, than the issue is open for discussion during the trial.

From what I remember from Anthony it only takes one little mistake to allow the other side to bring up a lot of past.
