There are lots of children that aren't potty trained until they are 3 - 3 1/2 years old.  After that age, I would say there may be a problem.
I'm sorry Mammy, I don't have children, but my sisters/brothers have children that were toilet trained before they were 3 1/2. I knew I would offend someone with that post.
Thanks mammy glad I didn't offend you.
You didn't offend me.

My boys were potty trained around 2 years old.  I have known others that their children had minds of their own.

I agree that Jesse feels threatened that he is being made to look like the villian in this case. That's a trick the Anthony's use frequently, making themselves the damsel/victim rather than the villians. Too bad the public sees through their bs and they have spent too much taxpayer money on that game. Also causes alot of people like Zenaida and Jesse to get lawyers.

Maybe Jesse didn't know about the DNA markers at the time but there was a reason he demanded the test. I find that interesting.

Let's add up what Cindy has done to throw doubt into this case also.
Jesse the evil stepfather.
Pizza maggots.
The underpass car change on the way to jail.
Tips from all over the world.

I would guess that he ordered the testing because IF Casey had been pregnant with HIS child, and she gave birth, Caylee would have been about 2 to 3mo premature and she obviously wasn't. She was a full term baby with none of the health or breathing problems associated with being early, not to mention she weighed over a pound or two which she wouldn't of had she been that early. It didn't take a rocket scientist to realize that she'd been pregnant before she'd met him.

Jesse Grund only ordered the test because his father MADE him. JG didn't really care that Caylee was too big to be premature or that she might not be his biologically. He loved Casey and he felt, and still feels, that there's more than blood to being a father. Even after he knew the truth he still wanted to be there for Casey and be Caylee's Daddy.

Too very humane in my eyes. My Josef is wanting to go outside right now, but it is way too cold. I will go though because it is something a good person will do, let their baby go potty. Casey was so lazy Caylee wasn't even potty trained. Thats what I don't get, she was with the baby every day, but never potty trained her.

I know I will get loads of hate from this post, but girls are supposedly easier to potty train than boys. My point is, if you cannot afford diapers that is a double incentive to get your kids going potty in the big chair, not in their nappys. Sorry if I offended. JSM

I thought she was almost potty trained??
Almost in the Anthony's eyes as being potty trained. I don't believe a word they say. George said she was "this close", but LE kept asking about nappys (diapers) being left with the baby sitter or in the car. I'm not sure Sunny, but I do know there were questions with George about potty training. I STILL haven't listened to Cindy with LE, but this has always been a nagging thorn in my side. Maybe Luckycharms can answer it.

Isn't not being toilet trained a sign of sexual abuse? Just asking, don't know where I read/heard that. TIA JSM

I'm no pyshologist, but my son was sexually abused when he was a little over 3yrs old, he started regressing (back into pullups) and drinking a bottle at night on top of nightmares that I would be eaten by alligators, monsters or be in a black hole
Oh I am so sorry I brought up this up. I truly am sorry. It was something I had read back when I was in school. I hope I didn't hurt or offend you. I hope your son is doing well now.

By no means an I offended~I have mentioned it many times since I joined SM. I believe if more people knew the symptoms of sexual abuse, well maybe it wouldn't be so prevalent. I wished someone had warned me and if my posting about the experience can save ONLY one person from that hell on earth it's damn well worth it.

My son is almost 9 now, and we moved far away from where we used to live....the first day here he was a different child, spends the night away, he went on a week long vacation with a friend from where we moved from and he has regained some of his childhood...........he feels safe now, look and see!
THANK YOU Island. I am so glad I didn't bring up anything bad. He is ADORABLE AND HAPPY. Unfortunately I believe he has a Texas A&M shirt in the little picture. Or do I need reading glasses. You have done a great job. God bless you and your baby.

Does anyone remember the movie with Michael (I can't remember his last name but he was an actor from 'Little House on the Prairie' and he has since died from cancer). It was about bedwetting being hereditary with men, and from Janets post, apparently with women too. I really do not like more pressure being put on children for the potty training or some mother worrying their child has been abused since they are late in being potty trained. That is just one of a group of signs. I am an advocate of educating people, walked in those shoes too, and wish I had known more 30 years ago.

Michael Landon was born Eugene Orowitz, son of a former dancer and a movie theater district manager. His mother Peggy lavished attention on his older sister Evelyn, and the few times his father was home he showed little open affection toward him.

Eugene (Michael) had a bed-wetting problem until age 14.  His mother would display his un-washed wet sheets on her clothesline for the whole neighborhood to see.  Before he went to school she tied parts of the sheets to him.  After high school Eugene left home, eventually entered acting, and changed his name to Michael Landon.  He landed the lead part in the low budget film, "I Was A Teenage Werewolf", which to his surprise, became a smash hit.  He is most remembered for his heartwarming roles as Little Joe in "Bonanza", and Charles Engles in "Little House on the Prairie."

In 1976 Michael Landon directed a movie, "The Loneliest Runner", starring Lance Kerwin.  Lance plays the "child version" of Landon.  Michael Landon was an Olympic hopeful pondering on his childhood through the movie.  In the movie Lance is a 13 year old bedwetter, and his mother hangs his un-washed wet sheets outside his bedroom window in a cruel (boneheaded) effort to get him to stop the bedwetting. This is how he becomes such an excellent runner, having to run home for nearly a year to get the sheets out of his window, (lest his friends or best girl, played by Melissa Sue Anderson, see this embarrassment).  He eventually becomes a runner in the Olympic games, and he wins a gold medal!

A review of the movie by Marty Summers: " This movie is a brilliant portrayal of a close-minded, mean mother, who refuses to support her son with his problem.  She really gets it in the end, and that makes the movie that much better.  I love the triumph of the young man in the story, and the support his father finally gives him at the end of the movie.  Good can triumph over evil..."

luckycharmsprincess..... Thank-you for that, very interesting, when you look at some of Casey's friends, they seem like they would be able to manipulate easily. I would imagine she would not befriend anyone who was not. I keep going back to the Sawgrass Apts, I had never thought or probably did not want to think that Caylee was being used for child pornography, but after listening to Wendy Murphy, I just stood back and went, please don't let it be that. My husband after telling him of the compromising pics of Casey months ago, looked at me and pretty much said, I wonder if Caylee was being abused. I am one who is not sold on the choloraform angle of keeping Caylee quiet, for me that doesn't make a lot of sense since it doesn't knock you out for long. I certainly hope this is not the case, that Caylee had to go through this, but I will not be surprised if it turns out to be. I've mentioned before that I worried about Caylee being abused, because who knows some of the people Casey left her with, but pics or movies of Caylee didn't enter my mind until I heard Wendy Murphy discuss this.

Does anyone remember the post, several months ago on another site, by a female author making these same claims? She stated she was doing research for a book about the case. At that time it was rumored that LE could tell by the stains in the trunk how the body was positioned. Part of her claim was that one of the stains contained sperm.
Stain on the carpet in the car?

Yes stain in trunk, George said it in a police interview.

There are lots of children that aren't potty trained until they are 3 - 3 1/2 years old.  After that age, I would say there may be a problem.

My five year old grandson was day trained at two but ... still wears pullups at night.  It is never an issue.  If they are wet in the morning ... he chucks them in the garbage.  Case Closed!

Hey ... bedwetting is probably hereditary.  His Mama (me) wet the bed until she was five years old.

I can remember ... in the middle of the night my Mom gaving me a sponge bath ... clean PJ's and ... changing the sheets.  There was a rubber sheet over the matress.

Michael Landon.  He was also "Little Joe" on Bonanzo.

I believe that regression in the area of bedwetting is "one" of the signs of sexual abuse.  However ... apparently children may regress after ANY tramatic experience.

Hi TIA,

It can be. However, in this case if there was excessive bedwetting, I would attribute it to this child's erratic home life. While everything looks fairly normal on the outside, I have strong reservations about how normal it was on the inside. A child needs consistency more than anything. This is how they form security and trust. If Casey was taking her to parties, leaving her with strangers, Caylee would have developed fears because she didn't know what to expect from day to day. That structure and ability to have a routine is what allows us to feel comfortable. The video of Caylee with her great grandfather has bothered me. She looks as if she is holding on for dear life. Usually a child who is comfortable and secure will run around in a strange environment because they have developed a sense of trust usually due to a consistent parental figure. When a child clings, this tells me there is a huge need not being fulfilled. By Casey's own admissions, she says Caylee didn't get excited to talk to her or see her after Casey had been gone all day to 'work.' This isn't normal.

We won't be able to connect this piece of the puzzle until we know what Casey really did during the day for two years.
I thought the same thing about Caylee with the great grand dad. She was holding him so tight and then asked if he was tired, which is a strange thing for a little kid to do in a nursing home. Most kids would run around or run away from an old person. She sat in his lap like she was secure. I got creeped out going to see my great aunts in a nursing home and I was in the 8th grade. Maybe little ones it does't bother. I don't know, but if you could fill me in on what you think I would appreciate it.

I remember reading that, yes!  At first 'sperm' was briefly mentioned, then 'bodily fluids', then 'decomp.'  Not sure if they were talking about different stains combined, or just one large stain.  But it was also mentioned that the stain/s covered an area the size of a basketball.  I always wondered what they meant about how they could tell how the body was positioned, don't think they elaborated after having said that.  Also heard that the chloroform covered the entire trunk area, including up the sides of the car.

We moved far away, so now I don't ever worry about seeing this monster again, so it's easier to move on.

I understand.    I feel badly for you and your son.     Hugs to you both.

Thank you and hugs back!

We moved too, and it helps in moving on, but I can't tell you the times i had fantasy of doing the same as you. Time helps, but a Mom never gets over something like that.
Mom's will protect babies, that is what Mom's are for. Hugs to you.

True, we always feel like "I should have known" and punish ourselves, but I am trying to work on that and trying to stay positive .........it takes some work, but we are a work in progress. Sorry to hear you had a similar experience. The move was by far the best catalyst for his new attitiude, such a blessing.

I always mess up posts when I am trying to be funny  Thanks Island for your insight and I am glad you and your baby are well. Even if it is an A&M shirt he has on.

Somebody send that child some Burnt Orange!

LOL~now THAT WOULD make him mad!!!! He's a die hard aggie thru and thru! Gig em aggies!!!!!!!!
I was thinking more Black and Red. Burnt Orange is old hat!
[/quote] I always mess up my posts during the night. I just wanted to say he should like A&M, their fight song is my ringtone on my celly.

But Texas Tech has a wonderful, great, beautiful qb with the best smile. Graham's smile is almost as pretty as your son's.
