JSM, I'm going to bet money Josef has arthritis, if he does they will tell you what to give him and then you will see a big difference

No, I'm the big worry wort  Just Josef has all the same symptoms as Zoe, the reason I asked about Josef's leg shaking, is Zoe did that also, I'm not sure if it was because the pain was bad or what, but she doesn't do that anymore. I'm sure the vet will check Josef out and everything will be okay 

Thanks No Rose, I think it is arthritis and him being in his cage for a week didn't help. I think he will be okay. Anyways, I think we get the worry wort prize when it comes to Joe and Zoe. 

  Oh yeah we would get the prize. I was going to ask about his sleeping arrangements, but you answered it, that is more than likely why he is sore and stiff 

No Rose, I would win the prize hands down. I wish I wasn't a worry wart about him, but I am just like you are with Zoe.

He told me he thought he would wake up and Pupek would not be alive. Pupek has a urinary tract infection. My BFG friend is worn out, went to the Cotton Bowl yesterday and drove to Houston for the Texans game. I know he is worried to death.

That is why Josef is sore sleeping on the floor I'll bet, I know that would do it for me. I worry about everything JSM, not as bad as before these new meds, it helps, I can put things more in prospective now. It is not funny to worry all the time. What I wouldn't give to be a laid back type of person

Hi Mission....I have got to get up some motivation to get my trees down tomorrow. It is cold as all get out here in S.C. too. Sorry your vacation is over. The time does fly by. Good to see you!

Hi Darla, nice to see you too - I had to force myself to get the tree and the decorations down and put away - I really didn't want it to come down.  You are really getting some wicked weather in SC - heck with weather like that you could wait until it gets a bit warmer then take your trees down - the warmer weather might be just what it takes to get the job done - when it is cold I don't have much motivation for anything.

JSM, I would talk to the vet about Josef having arthritis. We didn't know that Zoe had it, and not only was she having trouble jumping on the couch to sleep, she was getting very crabby and snapping at us. Once we started giving her the prescription and the over the counter pills, she was more herself, and has no trouble jumping on the couch or bed now.

I am so glad Zoe has responded to the arthritis medicine so well, no rose!

I had an old dog years ago who became arthritic and she was given a "new" arthritis medicine and she got a lot of relief from it as well.

We thought Brandi might be getting arthritic earlier this year, but her apparent difficulty jumping on the bed and occasional whine at who-knows-what, disappeared after a few days. But not before I made a vet appointment for her. Of course, when we went to the vet, she was fine. Always a good idea to keep an eye out for that though. Brandi just turned 10.

So JSM ... Josef might not be experiencing arthritic symptoms. He may be just fine in a few days. At least I sure hope so.

  It is good, not sure what others are skating to on the OD, but this is different. 

Technically, it was satisfying. Otherwise, I found it just weird. Daring, very daring. But not a crowd pleaser. Too avant guarde.

JSM, I hope Joe gets to feeling better. Was he like this before you left? If not he may just be pouting with you. My sister has a dog that will pout and not eat if she leaves her for a few days. They are like little kids. That could be all it is, he is just upset that you left him so long.

Sometimes I hate this laptop.

Thanks Darla, he wasn't like this before I left and it has me worried. He didn't want to go down the stairs tonight. He acts like it hurts to get his butt up off the floor. He did try to kill the Lab that was off the leash while we were outside. So that makes me feel better, he is back to being evil.

I also noticed that if I touch him on his right side, he flinches. He doesn't do it on his left side. His vet will be there tomorrow, so hopefully he will look at Joe after he does surgery. 

I hate to mention this, but could something have happened to Joe while he was at doggy daycare? Watch and see how he reacts to the people there tomorrow....

Oh, I did get the TV today. I thought picking it out was stressful...until DH tried to help me set it up. I carry the wiring diagrams for cable and phone for the whole house in my head. They are a nightmare..anywhere I want a TV or a phone, I just run the wires and hook it up. So he's asking me if I'm sure I have the right cables hooked up....and what about this red-white-yellow cable? Isnt that the same as the red, blue, green cable? No, the first is audio/visual, the second is just visual..it gives you purer colors...but he can't believe that until he reads it in the manual (dude, the only manuals I read are for computers! the rest just logics itself out!). Then, do I know how to hook up the DVD player? It's like he totally forgot that every A/V installation in this house, including any new toys he gets, is done by me!!! I wish I would've had a xanax to take!!

Of course, I did not get the wall mount, as I wasn't quite sure which one to get. After going to 3 stores, and not finding the right one, I realized I should have bought the one at Sam's...but I didn't want to bug DH to install it. I didn't think he'd want to participate in this little project! Silly me! Tomorrow I'll find the one I want...and then wait a week till he installs it! But it was great, I got to watch some Stars on Ice on the big screen, and some NCIS. I wanted to watch "Red Dawn"...but DH wasn't in the mood for a movie night. (I think he could tell I was getting impatient with his input). So, tomorrow I will check out the Dead People's Channel (TCM) and make sure I don't have to watch letterbox format anymore! Oh, and reprogram a remote so I only need one.

Sleep well, everyone. JSM, I really hope Joe is just shining you on, making you feel guilty, I think sleeping on a cold jail floor may have something to do with the lack of spring in his step. Also, you can give him an aspirin a day in case it is arthur-itis...that worked just fine for our Bandit. And it was way cheaper than the Relefin (?) the vet put her on.

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes.  My grandson is feeling better even though his oxygen levels keep dipping down to 92 and back up to 100.  He is currently on an iv, taking breathing treatments and on oxygen when they can get him to keep the mask on his face.  If he is to remain in the hospital tomorrow, I will be driving out to get my granddaughter to care for until he is well.

JSM  I'm a bit late responding to Josef's problems but maybe it is just because he was sleeping on a cold floor and his muscles are sore.  I hope that's all it is and he will be in my prayers tonight.  I know how much you love him, as I love my Charlie.

The temperature here in TN tonight will break a record for this time of year and actually rarely is it this cold at all.  Ten degrees expected.  That Global Warming is a b**tch. Has anyone else noticed that Al Gore has been conspicuously absent recently--since his chief money-maker has been exposed as a hoax?

Poor little fella ! They hate the mask at that age and sometimes do better with a nasal cannula. They probably will keep him until his oxygen sats are better than 94% on room air. It is a nasty viral bug. I hope the granddaughter doesn't get it.

When my oldest was in the hospital with low sats (80's) they put him in an oxygen tent - it was nice that he could move about and not have to fight with him to keep the mask on.   Either way, prayers that he gets better and the germs do not spread!
