JSM, that is awful what happened to poor Joe.  It makes me furious.   PJ was attacked 2 times while were were innocently walking.  Luckily he had no wounds after either attack, but he surely is vigilent now!!   Both times the dogs bolted from those electronic fences.  They both had the collars on, but apparently PJ just looked too delicious to them..............I was more scared than he was and am just glad things didn't get worse than they did.
4Donks, I struggle w/ cigs as well.  I quit for 15 years.........then after Brian died I picked them up again.   I seem to have lost all those self monitoring skills I worked so hard to acquire.  I have gained weight ~ a lot ~ as well.   I lost my husband and my wonderful job all w/in 8 months.  Not making excuses, though.  I know these are choices I have made.  I work on these issues every single day, but mostly just end up beating myself up.  That is not helpful.   I will be following your cold turkey progress closely and will pray for strength for you.  I understand the business being a great antidote!  Maybe I need to visit and help out on your property rather like going to rehab..................LOL.
Rose, I have stopped posting on the Kyron Thread mostly.  I find it frustrating as well............I think that the state of the thread is due to NO NEW INFO TO DISCUSS.

I was surprised to read what sassifrass wrote on the HO thread, too, about monkeys gossiping on other sites............Sometimes I think I am over my head.   I have never seen anyone be mean or gossipy on SM.  I guess I am just mostly out of the loop.  I think it is natural for there to be groups of folks on a message board who have posted together for a long time that support each other................I don't see it as cliques.    I just feel so sadly for anyone to feel as if they were disrespected.  In my opinion, I don't see it, but I do feel for anyone who feels that way.  Sad.
GE and 4 Donks, seems you were really blessed with wonderful mothers in law!

Brandi, bless you, you don't have a mean bone in your body.  I am sure of that.  I know everything you say and do is from your heart and your heart is pure and good.  It is evident in all you do for all of us.
Well, I know I missed replying to someone............so will say, Thank you to all for being here!  When I come here to read it is like  coming to a place that is safe and loving.

ScareyCarrie, it's forecast for the upper 90's here. And I don't appreciate it one bit. LOL

I turned the humidifier down a little last night, because I was waking up soaking wet  and by doing that my pain returned some. So I guess waking up wet is better then pain    I get the added bonus of losing weight while I sleep    How are you today?

I think I am going to get a humidifier for my room.  I hope you are feeling better today.

I posed a question. I think I might have sounded rude. But I am so sick of people inserting themselves into cases with agendas.

I feel the same way Brandi - why insert yourself and most of all if you are a friend of someone involved why go on a forum and start posting?  It makes my radar go up when they do that.

Wanted to give you guys an update on my brother.
He is still in Cardiac ICU.
There was more damage to his heart than they expected.  He is intubated but they are hoping to remove that apparatus today.
My darling nephew calls me 2 or 3 times a day.
I am glad I waited to go.  No one can visit him in CCU.  His wife's sister is there with her and that is as it should be.  I am planning to go once he gets home.  He will have a very long recouperation period.  He is not one to SIT!  I will take our dad's cribbage board and SIT with him.  I am trying to be patient.  It is hard not to just go.........
Thank you for all the prayers for him and I ask you to continue praying.
I have each of you firmly in prayer daily.
No one has an easy row to hoe...................it seems more true every day.
I really like having a on line group of friends.   You guys are truly a comfort and a blessing.
Now, back to reading as I have taken up more than my fair share of bandwidth!!

had a very busy day today with grand daughters, MIL is in the hospital..nothing serious..long story...just got home a little while ago having dinner with my dinner club..caught up on this thread and now I am going to bed...grand daughters tomorrow ...will talk with you all either early tomorrow morning or tomorrow evening after getting back from the hospital with MIL...

I read that they already convicted her husband.  He was LE.  He was convicted w/out the body!
It said he was in the appeal process.

Ya'll should head on over to Musings and see the picture of Klaas's new grand baby she's posted.  So precious.  Tears came to my eyes looking at the picture, bringing back memories of the joys of when my children were so tiny and new.  Aren't baby's wonderful? 

Wow I didn't know she was going to be a grandmother, will head over and look and yes babies are wonderful.

Hi Green Eyes

How's your wrist doing ? I haven't seen the pudgy cat today and she's not in either barn. The last time I saw her she was heading into the woods. I'm still putting food and water in both places. It has been miserably hot here and I worry about hydration with all the animals.

It seems to be doing better.  I can use it without hurting. 
I hope she uses one of the places you made for her babies if she has them.  It's good that you put water out. I know it's been hot here to.  Do you think we will get any fall? Or is it going directly to winter.

We had no spring this year went from snow in March directly to summer. We really need a break from the heat.We are also in a drought situation now but had flooding in late winter.

I think we had about a week of spring here. Then hot I am so ready for fall. They are saying next week we will be in the low 80's were we are suppose to be. We are headed for Florida for a couple weeks.  Need to go see MIL and get some stuff done for her. She is 91 and still driving and living alone. She figures she has a couple more years before she has to give up her driving and living alone.

Awesome GreenEyes - have fun in Florida!  Bless her heart she is still able to be independent that is great.  I hope your wrist gets better.

I was happy to hear that Josef is getting along well from his wounds.  I hope the woman (Not a lady) who owns the dog who attacked him is found and held to account for her dog's actions.

Good, too, that Joe is going to Texas A&M. It would be great if they found why he's losing weight and can treat him for it.  Maybe while he's there he can take a few courses?
