When he said that Aruba thought the case was weak, I wasn't sure if they meant the case
in Peru or the FBI extortion sting in Aruba.

Phil Keating said never once in the next three days do you see anyone enter the room where they found Stephany Flores.

Well, that's it then. There will be details and there will be other evidence and there will be figuring out where Joran went after the drivers dropped him off, etc. but the camera doesn't blink and the case is closed. She was alive when the camera recorded her walking in the room with Joran. No one except Joran came in or out until she was discovered dead. That's all she wrote for Joran. Guilty in any court in the world except for Aruba and this time they can't help.

I beleive with all my heart that Natalee's murder was just as plain as Stephany's. Aruba turned itself inside out to blur it and Stephany has paid for their perversion with her life. Joran and his family are about to live with regret. They will wish beyond all they can imagine that they had let Joran face the consequences in Aruba.

From day one I always said Natalee's death was violent.  Others thought it was an OD but Joran showed the world what he did to Natalee with Stephany's murder.

He doesn't have to tell the truth he acted it out again.

Aruba has blood on their hands.

Lima, Peru -- Murder suspect Joran van der Sloot arrived Saturday at the Lima police headquarters in Peru, where he is facing charges that he killed a Peruvian woman.

Van der Sloot, handcuffed and wearing a protective vest, was escorted through a news conference held by Peruvian authorities as photographers snapped photo after photo.

The body of 21-year-old Stephany Flores Ramirez was found Wednesday in a Lima hotel room registered to van der Sloot, a Dutch citizen who was twice arrested and released in connection with the 2005 disappearance of American teenager Natalee Holloway in Aruba.

Flores' body was badly beaten and investigators believe a tennis racquet in the room was used in the killing, Carlos Gonzalo, spokesman for Peru's Interior Ministry, told CNN. Despite reports that a baseball bat was the murder weapon, Gonzalo said there was not a baseball bat in the room.

The Dutch Consulate is now involved in the case and has volunteered a defense attorney for van der Sloot, according to Carlos Neyra, a spokesman for the Peruvian Investigative Police.

Gonzalo said van der Sloot has asked for his mother, though authorities couldn't confirm whether she's coming to Lima.

Surveillance video from a casino on May 30 shows Flores and van der Sloot playing cards at the same table, he said. The woman won about 5,000 soles (about $1,755), though it was not found in the room or the victim's car, Gonzalo said.

He said "they found bloodied clothes with" van der Sloot and that investigators are testing them, as well as the tennis racquet, for DNA.

He added that there is no other suspect connected to Flores' death.

A hotel worker is seen in a surveillance video speaking to van der Sloot as he is leaving the hotel, Gonzalo said. When investigators questioned the workers, he told them that van der Sloot told him "don't bother my girl." Van der Sloot indicated that he would be returning to the room, according to the worker.

The hotel workers became suspicious after no one else left the room, and eventually a foul smell came from it, Gonzalo said. It wasn't immediately clear how much time lapsed between the conversation on video and workers noticing the smell.

Chilean authorities delivered van der Sloot to their Peruvian counterparts on Friday in the border town of Santa Rosa, where he was greeted by hecklers and dozens of media personnel jostling for position to get a better picture of the Dutch citizen.

The Dutch Consulate has told Peruvian authorities that it is not comfortable with the way van der Sloot has been presented to the media, Neyra said. The Peruvian Minister of the Interior is asking authorities not to talk about the case without his authorization.

Paperwork showed that van der Sloot entered Chile the same day Flores' body was found, Chilean police told CNN. He was captured in Chile on Thursday and transported to the border to be expelled, said Macarena Lopez, a spokeswoman for Interpol.

The Chileans drove van der Sloot across the border to a Peruvian police station. He made a 100-foot walk from the car to the station as journalists pushed past a police line and a handful of hecklers rained loud and angry obscenities on the suspect's head.

Van der Sloot was taken inside the station for processing. From there, he was to be taken to the nearby town of Tacna and then flown to Lima.

Holloway was on a high school graduation trip to the Caribbean island of Aruba in 2005 when she disappeared. Van der Sloot was arrested twice in connection with the case but released both times. He denied any involvement and has not been charged.

Van der Sloot also faces an arrest warrant on charges of extortion and wire fraud in Alabama, U.S. Attorney Joyce Vance said Thursday. The charges are unrelated to the killing of the Peruvian woman and deal with an attempt to sell details about Holloway for $250,000, Vance said.

Anita told Dutch Radio that she is shocked by these latest developments.

Just on CBS/42 in Birmingham

Thanks Magnolia.  She is FOS.

She is!  I had not seen or heard any quote or interview from her since the latest developments in Peru except Melody's facebook.

The "family's lawyer" Bert de Rooij made a comment for her.  It was the same...shocked.

Anita van der Sloot: Suspected Killer's Mom Shocked by New Allegations in Stephany Flores Murder

NEW YORK (CBS) Anita van der Sloot is "shocked" by the latest allegations against her son, Joran van der Sloot, in connection with yet another young woman's death, according to the family's lawyer Bert de Rooij.

De Rooij says that Anita van der Sloot spoke to her son via telephone Thursday but would not give details about the conversation except to say that Joran "certainly did not" confess to killing 21-year-old Stephany Flores, according to the Dutch News.

The young woman's body was found in a Lima hotel room in a pool of blood. The room was registered to Joran van der Sloot, according to Peruvian newspaper El Comercio.

"I am advising him to find a lawyer who knows something about laws affecting foreigners in South American," de Rooij told Dutch radio station Radio I.

Joran van der Sloot was detained in a taxi Thursday in Chile after crossing the border from Peru, where authorities say the 22-year-old man is the prime suspect in Flores' murder.

Police believe van der Sloot met the University of Lima business student the night before her death at a local casino. Her body was found by a hotel maid late Tuesday, her neck snapped, according to Peruvian police.

The same day he was arrested in Chile, Van der Sloot was also charged in Alabama with trying to extort $250,000 in connection with the disappearance of  Natalee Holloway.

The 17-year-old American student vanished in 2005 during an Aruba vacation. Van der Sloot has long been the primary suspect, but Aruban prosecutors felt they didn't have the goods to charge him.

In the Alabama charges, van der Sloot is accused of trying to sell information about the location of Holloway's body and the circumstances of her death. Federal prosecutors say van der Sloot already took $15,000 on the deal, but did not name a victim.

Authorities plan to fly van der Sloot, who is currently in Chilean custody, back to the Peruvian border Friday morning, according to a Chilean police spokesman who spoke on condition that he not be named in line with department policy.

I stand with the girl, Natalee Holloway.

"I can look back over the past 10 years and there were no steps wasted, and there are no regrets,'' she said. "I did all I knew to do and I think that gives me greater peace now." "I've lived every parent's worst nightmare and I'm the parent that nobody wants to be," she said.

Suffering with allergies tonight, could some one please help me with something I thought I heard on Geraldo?

Did I hear correctly that i think when Geraldo's brother was reporting that Aruban officials thought the case in Peru against Joran Van der Sloot was weak?

Did I hear that correctly?

Please tell me that some one has the VIDEO of that if that was said.

Thanks

Oh I'm sure someone will have the video Smile

Yes, they think it's weak. I didn't catch the video, though.

That Bingo picture is the scariest picture I have ever seen of Joran.

I gasped when I scrolled by it.

The original was darker and it scared me too...Anita's eyes or something about those glasses made it look like her eyes were glowing and it looked like devil's eyes.  I took a double take at first because I thought I was seeing things...him behind her.  I'm serious it gave me the creeps! eeeeeeeekkkkk!

I lightened the picture before I posted it.  This is the original.

On one of the news shows tonight I saw a clip of Stephany's cousin saying she had watched a TV show @ a month ago about Joran, so she knew who he was. This causes me to wonder why on earth would she even consider going anywhere with this monster unless she was heavily drugged.
Did anyone else see this video clip?

Celita,  I have read this as well.  It's know Stephany left the casino with some winnings and it is my understanding that they are now missing as I have been following this angle as well.

Everything I have seen so far is in agreement that if a death occurs during the course of robbery it can carry the death penalty.  It is alleged that Joran stole her money at the least.
