What a coincidence that this innocent girl was killed on the same day as the launch of Beth Holloway's website with a big PLEASE DONATE billboard on her homepage!! Beth has stolen over 50$ millions off the back of Natalee! And now she still need more attention and money? it wouldn't surprise me that BETH HOLLOWAY is the one who has arranged for Stephany to be killed behind Joran's back!! Someone seriously needs to investigate the Holloway family, they are the true cruel criminal exploiters

IF that's true, my guess would be that the lawyer is Bert de Rooij.  He and Paulus were schoolmates at Tilburg so they go wayyyyyy back.  He was mentioned as the "family lawyer" in some articles.  From my understanding he is a criminal lawyer.

So it looks like all the stuff Joran had left behind in the hotel room he claimed he couldn't remember, the one in Chile was found.  GOOD. 

They have his laptop too!

What I don't understand is that the police officer is counting his money.  Why the hell isn't he wearing gloves.  What if Joran had this girls money with her fingerprints on it.

Joran emailed Bert de Rooij twice this week. Once when he was on the run and another time when he was at the police station in Chile. Latest news is Joran during his hearing yesterday, told police he turned himself in in Chile. No doubt that was what Mr de Rooij told him to say!

thanks Jo, this is the first time I have seen this.  So, some of the information we have heard is entirely false.....he had his backpack and his computer.......sure didn't see any indication of bloody clothing.  So did he in fact turn himself in as someone said earlier?

Yeah, except for the side and shape of the head, the hairline, the width of the forehead, the eyes, the nose, the mouth, the jawline, the neck and shoulders, Joran's hair being several shades darker, lol.  Joran's ears even stick out differently, more like Tommy Croslins.  Maybe that cupping is typical of criminals.  They don't look any more alike to me than any two males with similar haircuts and coloring and age.  I've seen many photos of strangers in bars who resemble Joran more.  And regardless of appearance, there is still no realtionship.

I looked at the video and the times.  They look correct to me.  The security camera clock in the lobby is set 11 minutes or so earlier than the hallway/door camera.  I have them entering the lobby at 5:20am and entering Joran's room at 5:31am.  Then I have Joran leaving his room at 8:56am and leaving the lobby at 8:45am.  Nothing odd at all IMO:

@ravath: even more strange is the fact, however difficult to see the exact times. But if I see it clear: Joran and Stephany arrived first in the lobby at 5:20 AM, entered room at 5:33 AM, so a lapse of almost 15 minutes to get up to the room. But still accepatble: maybe clocks aren't both set the same time. More weird is: Joran leaves room at 8:50 or 8:56 AM and leaves lobby at 8:45 AM.... first clock running earlier and a few hours later clock running late? STRANGE

NOOOOO, Sunny don't get confused.

He was detained in Chile because the Taxi driver recognized him.  When detained, on the way back they asked him where his stuff was, he said it was at a hotel but he couldn't remember where.  When he was on the run he stayed one night in an unknown hotel.

IMO, they found his stuff at the hotel and that is what we are seeing.   We are seeing Joran identify that it's his stuff, count the money etc before they put it into police evidence.

the reports of Joran having bloody clothes with him could be something as simple as his shoes with blood splatter. Guess we'll have to wait and see. I am loving Peru and how they are sharing all this info and videos. They aren't burying everything in a crabtrap
