It drives me crazy when an uninformed interviewer doesn't even know a lie when it's told to them.  The lie is not questioned and the Anthony's score again.  No wonder they like being on t.v. ... not to mention the $$$$'s of course.

Hi can!!!  JMO but I think CBS has signed a contractual agreement with the A's so the A's are allowed to decided what questions will or will not be asked.
Hey Sunny!  Yeah...but I can dream, can't I?  lol.
I just think Kathy would be the best ever!

Please don't let me take that dream away!  I would walk nekkid on my nose to see that interview!!

Thanks,Sunny... root beer coming out my nose really hurts.

I haven't been here in awhile...not by choice. And no, I haven't been in the clink, lol.  Anyone want to give me the readers digest version of events starting with the 9/9/09 court appearance?  TIA, Lovinlife

Hi LOVIN'. I haven't been here much myself. Maybe some more well informed monkeys will give you the lowdown. I'm sure anything I might tell you would be all screwed up.

I'm glad to see you back!  an angelic monkey

Oh Fanny,
What is the point of this?  If you have nothing to add, why post this poor pitiful me stuff?  A few weeks back, some of us posters expressed the negative posts and the harm it does to the moral to the thread.  Not as an attack on you, but as a tool for making the thread stronger.

Your very next post: "
I think he did too, ONO. It may have been an old document signed in June, but it was still pertinent to the case as the hearing was delayed about it through the summer till September. I don't remember ever really reading the whole document myself. Do I still have to say JMO? If so, I just said it."

Again, the point was posters who are very active like you are often looked at as knowing the case very well and thus, should hold themselves to a higher standard of being accurate in distinguishing what is fact, opinion and what is what they recall but are not sure.  When active posters misstate opinions as facts, others who are interested but don't have the time to research as much, learn the facts of the case wrong and that doesn't help Caylee and justice.  Again, constructive feedback, not an attack on you personally.

Your next post:  "I'm still sitting on Caylee's side too. Still on the branch, and still waiting. I thought this was what this thread is for. Being here for her is all most of us want. I know we are not alone."

Me:  Of course this is what this thread is for, but in a positive and productive way.  Is it not productive to examine how we can do research better?  Is there an issue with all of us using caution in distinguishing fact from opinion - especially active posters?  Is it wrong to ask for positive and productive posts and limit our off topic and me too type posts in the thread since Klaas has given us musings, JSM thread and other places to be off topic or have community with like minds?

I hope you will see the request as how we can be better, not as a tool to distract the attention from Caylee.
Best,
News Junkie

Klaas, I'm perfectly aware I was not addressed in this particular post but I have to say something here in the name of reason yet once again  because it does have pertinence to something that occurred just the other day.  I kindly requested that any personal remarks/attacks/disputes be void on our case threads & handled via email privately amongst members one-on-one and/or with the assistance of administration from that point in time forward for obvious reasons.   Actually, its not even desirable to see this type of thing on our community social threads either.   I was called out just the other day for suggesting what we should do collectively as reasonable, considerate adults because I am not an admin or mod.    So how is this okay for that same person that called me out for making a sound suggestion generally to call out another member publicly & personally in a very snide, condescending and embarrassing manner?   Regardless of  the motive or intention & no matter who it is, feelings are getting hurt & there seems to be a few other veiled motives surfacing which I personally find to be ridiculous.  Whatever it is, it is just not right to continuously be occurring.   For our regular posters and/or our avid readers, its just not fair for them to feel uncomfortable or have to wade thru personal snipes & petty arguments.  I even came back from my hospitalization/recovery to find out a few members unjustifiably pondered whether I was party to something that occurred with 2 members that were banned, much to my shock & horror - yea I was offended for the record.  I missed not being here for weeks, I'm disappointed what I came back to...sigh.  My suggestion by no stretch of the imagination was to "step on toes" but as a member in good standing & very active logically the conclusion is that this type of behavior has to cease by everyone, yes everyone.  Life is short, you & I know firsthand in a flash how true that is, some things are just not that important in the grand scheme of things & living each day with ongoing bitterness, hurt, jealousy, anger is a waste of precious time.  This will be my last comment publicly on the issue, I trust that you & your mods will do the right thing for the benefit & fairness of all of our members & Scared Monkeys as a whole, as always.   Although this had to be said I genuinely respect & adore you all.

Respectfully,

Your Capp

I have addressed this issue.  Go back to ANJ's original post.  I have also addressed it in Musings and in email.  I don't need anyone telling me how/what to do.  It's taken care of.

Not sure if this was posted yet or not:

Motion to strike (civil case)
http://www.wftv.com/pdf/20907922/detail.html

And it begins:

Tennis:  "The entirety of the litigation is a cynical ad frivolous exploitation of a family's tragedy.  To even treat this as a legitimate piece of litigation is is an Orweillan task."

I believe this is an old document as the it is dated June 11, 2009

I don't have a link but Judge Rodriguez chided Ms. Tennis for this melodramatic wording -- I believe he did so right at the first of the hearing last week.

I think he did too, ONO. It may have been an old document signed in June, but it was still pertinent to the case as the hearing was delayed about it through the summer till September. I don't remember ever really reading the whole document myself. Do I still have to say JMO? If so, I just said it.

Tainting the jury pool at its finest.  48 hours, will just not be on again in my house

Ya know, on the upside they might just continue to put their foot in their mouths - there is so much media coverage along with their police interviews, depositions etc that will be used against them to show them for lying pond scum they are - I can only hope they will face some level of consequence as well as Casey never seeing the light of day again, the latter I have no doubt about.
Maybe they will say something, they are both loose cannons, especially Cindy. I will have to read on here what is said, that 48 hours show is officially off my viewing, though I will admit I rarely watch that show.

That's what Scott Peterson did-help put himself away with his tv interviews.  Let's hope for the same.

Casey Anthony: Case will be part of '48 Hours Mystery' fall season

CBS' "48 Hours Mystery" will examine the Casey Anthony case in a fall episode.

A Web site promo for the program shows Cindy Anthony, Casey's mom. An announcer says, "The case that riveted the country. Her granddaughter dead. Her own daughter accused. Now Casey Anthony's parents are fighting to save her life." Casey Anthony is charged with the first-degree murder of her daughter, Caylee.

The network did not list an air date.

But its program this weekend will look at Philip Markoff, who has been dubbed the "Craigslist Killer." The program coincides with the release of the book "Seven Days of Rage: The Deadly Crime Spree of The Craigslist Killer." The CBS newsmagazine said it will explore Markoff's "interest in bondage, sadomasochism, homosexuality and in particular, his desire to be dominated."

As CBS likes to note, "48 Hours Mystery" is the No. 1 series on Saturday nights. It airs at 10 p.m. on WKMG-Channel 6.

Morning Monkeys,

I was dropping in to ask if anyone knows how long it takes to get one's vote on the petition for No More Airtime for the As's.  I voted and posted my comment, which was quite printable, about 40 minutes ago, yet it doesn't show.  Any idea?

Then, I read the take on 48 Hrs. Mystery and have to comment on my bolding above.  The only people the As's are fighting with are those who are trying to get them to tell the truth, thus putting a stop to their continual spinning of lies.  And, what's with the "mystery" of KC killing their granddaughter.  I think the producers should check with any dictionary as to the meaning of "mystery."  Obviously, they don't have a clue.

I doubt it though. What you get is an interviewer who knows very little about the case, asking questions that the Anthonys have well rehearsed, and they just lie....  the interviewer, not knowing the different versions they have already answered, just swallows the thing whole.   Waste of time, a complete waste of time!
I agree. Now...if they would like to have Cindy sitting next to Kathi Belich for this interview, I'd pay money to watch that. CBS is no better than the Anthony family....truth is not the issue......money is the only goal for all of them at the expense of a murdered baby.

We are here for you Caylee and the truth will come out in time.

Oooooh!   Good idea Tupelo Honey!!!  Is WFTV a CBS affiliate?  I would PAY to watch that interview!

Hi fellow Monkeys.

I'm trying to remember if there was ever a time an interview helped a defendant and can't recall one. However, my memory ain't what it used to be. Anyone?

I too would actually pay good money if they were interviewed by Kathy! As much as I can't stand to even see their faces, I would watch that one. Then again...I may let someone else watch it and tell me if it was worth watching because they way they argue and try to go in circles with the truth...ugh, the twisting they try to do makes my blood pressure rise.
