A1 got new blonde streaks in her hair today (photos to come) A1 does not feel like cooking tonite, so Pepper bacon, scrambled eggs and biscuts is where it's at.

Yes, Grissom is a Male and so is Milt!  ::MonkeyHaHa::
Both are very cuddly. I couldn't believe how nice Milt was, so down to earth and you could tell he just loved dogs. He immediately upon entering the room started to interact with Grissom. It was a nice afternoon and I believe we will be doing some business with Milt! He said we would be the only facility who has a dock pool for the dogs to practice before a competition and he would sell us one of his older pool complete with dock! Grissom adored him and we even had Milt's dogs go swimming today in our indoor pool, they all had a blast!

ya'll sorry o/t, hubby wanted a frozen pizza tonite. we have no foor. anyway, i didn't have anything to get it out with (everything is still packed) anyway, i dropped the pizza on my hands & need advice. i don't have any ice cause that's still not hooked up, & i don't know what to do. my hands have these bubbles all over then & they hurt! please help.

We are not doctors, we cannot see what is wrong, we are not qualified to tell you what to do, we're just people on the internet.  I don't understand why you can't go for medical help, that's the obvious thing to do.
Next obvious would be to ask your husband or someone who is local to help you. 

since i have been to the hosp for other things recently. i don't want them to think i did this on purpose. i am gonna send hubby for ice. it will calm down i'm sure.

Wendi - if you have 3rd degree burns on your hands you have to get ice on them right away and get to the doctor/hospital.

i am not sure what 3rd degree burns are, hubby has brought the neighbor (he's a dr) & he says i have to go to the hosp. we are discussing it. i do not want to go back under the circumstances.

Wendi - you need to get the burn looked at by a doctor.  I'm hoping you are doing that right now. 

Dr. Fred will know what 3rd degree burns are, so that's good, between him and your husband you have help and can figure out what to do now.

ok, now i'm pissed! fred says i have to go to the hosp. for iv antibiotics! this is just stupid. he says because of my lupus it HAS to be this way. i am not going. i love fred but he is not my dr. i will keep putting the ice on my fingers & hands. Fred actaully said, i have lost several figertips. not the tips, but i think he means i don't have any skin on my fingertips left.

Yeah, I've had some minor burns before on my hands and it was sooo painful I cannot imagine trying to type with burns as bad as Wendi's   ::MonkeyShocked::

Wendi. Listen to me, please.

The ONLY way that you will be admitted to any hospital for psychiatric treatment is IF you are homicidal ( you threaten to kill someone) or if you are suicidal ( you threaten to kill yourself ).

So unless you voice either of those intentions to a physician, then you can go to seek medical help because your fingers have been severely burned. To NOT go is far more unusual behavior than to go seek medical attention.

Additionally, You can call the 24 hour number you were given after you were dismissed from the hospital to discuss feeling weird, or the effects of medication without fear of being admitted as well.

Please seek medical help and follow the advice of the medical professional your husband brought to you. He knows more about this than the posters here and you.

Remember the BRAT rule that pediatricians give for eating when have stomach virus ... bananas, rice, applesauce, toast (no butter). 

oh wait, first rule is you have to be able to hold down 1 ounce flat coke/seven up for an hour first. If you can, then try small bites of one of the brat foods and slowly work up from there. 

i still have 3 fingers, (tips)(that weren't burnt) but the cheese landed in between my fingers. i am sorry but my husband & dr. fred are so agreeing on what to do for me)  i hate it when i am treated this way. i guess i will be going to the hosp shortly. i just don't want them to think this was on purpose, it wasn't.  i could end up at the last place for 30 days more. i know this is stupid, but if it were you, you would take it seriously.i hated the last place i was-even though i do think i needed it-i cannot do that again.

Klaasend, there is a Tulsa Police Office who was injured in the line of duty.  He has had many surgeries on his ankle just like me, in fact we have had the same doctor.  Now he is going to have to have his leg amputated below the knee due to infection.  I have invited him to pop in and read us.  I told him if he wanted to join us while he is healing, we could use his insight.  He seems like such a nice person.

That's cool!  If he decides to register to post let me know so I can approve him.  I'm not approving new members very often we've been so busy.

I am not going to ask how everyones doing tonight. MyTime have you tried just sipping some weak tea, at room temperature. Here is my mobile I have been working on.

Burns are an odd thing. If a burn has destroyed any layer of skin, it will get worse within the next 24 hours so what you see right now is NOT what you will get 24 hours later. 24 hours later, it will be worse.

I don't understand why anyone would not get immediate medical attention for such a burn. Tissue damage can be mitigated with proper and immediate care.

In the Emergency Room of our local hospital, there is a poster about burns and how even supposedly "minor" burns can be extremely deceptive and dangerous. To illustrate the point, they show a photo of a little girl's face that was scalded (I assume by hot water). When she was admitted to the hospital, her face was only slightly pink, not even pink enough to qualify as a bad subdurn. The second photo is this child is 24 hours later and you can barely recognize her face as human because of all the severe tissue damage. She looked like an alien or monster.

Letting a burn go without care is asking for severe damage later. The damage can affect more than skin, there are other tissues and ligaments and muscles and nerves involved.

IV's are essential to combat infection and dehydration. Our skin is our largest organ and is our first defense against infection.

In one of my high school art classes, we were assigned the project of building a mobile and I built a beautiful one with everything balanced out and it was SIMPLY FABULOUS.

Then, I had to walk the three miles to school, carrying my mobile with me. I tried very hard to keep it together but by the time I got to school, it was pretty bashed and broken. I was heartbroken.

And that's my mobile story.

I think people who can actually make working mobiles are very talented. It is not easy.
