I just read this latest act of deforestation by Bobo and crew.  First Marinade is not a media figure, nor is he famous, he is a blogger who used to sell marinade and happens to write about the case.  If by having a blog you are a media figure then Klaas and Red are media figures and all of us who contribute are as well.  His logic and stretch thereof is hurting my brain.  Using his logic then I would be a famous chef because I post recipes?  WTF?

Second, Bobo, LKB, Mac the Knife, Lyon and and Mason have ALL appeared on numerous TV shows.  Bobo has pictures of being on Geraldo's Yaht with his wife.  That would be courting a media figure if you ask me. 

Glad to see Bob reads here.  The Wambulance is gonna need a engine change at this rate of mileage, just saying

I just reread the motion and basically anyone that has a computer who can post on the internet would be defined as media by the defense.  GMAB!  That would mean Joy would be a famous media figure in that same definition with her chatabagfullofnuts chat site.  Why don't they do what Gardner just did and ask for a deal of no DP in exchange for a full confession?

I really never got the impression that Marinade What's His Name was pro-prosecution at all--I thought he was sort of generic, actually, and couldn't really get a "feel" of his opinion one way or another.  I rather enjoyed his comments as I thought him to be quite chatty in describing the surroundings from a bird's eye view inside the courtroom and out & about on his driving videos.   He's just "chatty"--sort of as a gossip columnist would be.  Certainly not a heavyweight, IMO.

Casey Defense Wants Judge Disqualified
Defense Files Motion Alleging Judge Had Inappropriate Relationship

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's defense team has filed a motion to disqualify the judge presiding over her murder case.
In the motion, Anthony's defense team alleged that Judge Stan Strickland struck up an inappropriate relationship with a blogger known as "Marinade Dave."

"The defendant, Casey Marie Anthony, reasonably fears that she will not receive a fair trial because of the conduct and apparent prejudice and bias of the judge," the motion said.

The motion alleges that Strickland contacted Dave Knechel, also known as "Marinade Dave," through his blog and eventually by phone and developed a passing, yet personal relationship with him, but did not disclose the relationship to the defense.

The motion said Strickland acknowledged Knechel after a hearing in October and Strickland praised Knechel's writing on the case.

According to the defense, Knechel has blogged about the murder case against Anthony on several occasions, including blogs titled "Casey Anthony must die!" and "Caylee's murder: Premeditated and pretty stupid, too."

The defense said Knechel told them Strickland told him, "I got to tell you, you've got the best blog going out there. You've got the best one, really fair."

"Judge Strickland's endorsement of Mr. Knechel's blog is evidence of Judge Strickland's own pro-prosecution slant in this case," the motion said.
The defense said Knechel's blog is pro-prosecution and portray Anthony in a negative light, while praising Strickland for his "wise decisions."

Knechel spoke to Local 6 Friday evening.

"The fact that he's a nice guy proves he's going to be a fair judge," Knechel said. "I think what the defense is looking for -- they're on a fishing expedition."

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

Caylee was two years old when she was reported missing in July 2008. Her remains were found in December 2008.
