How are the Finns doing? I remember the year of the Flying Finns....I love watching almost every sport of the winter olys, the summers...not so much. gymnastics is about it. I am even learning to appreciate curling...just cos it's so odd. And I learned last night that curling is actually from England, although the stones come from Scotland. Rose, is that correct?

I have stress coming up in 45 minutes.  Need to juggle hockey, speed skating and Nordic.  Oh boy!

There is a polish guy kicking some serious jumping arse and a swiss guy as well.  I will capture the standings when this round is over.   Medals tonight.

curling is SCOTTISH  though the English wish it was them and claim it as theirs with the whole united kingdom thing but Mary Queen of Scots would be rolling over and cursing if she heard that curling was an English thing.

CTV has the broadcasting rights so you can check on their site if you are allowed to watch or if you get the nasty "NO"

Tevye I am sorry.  I do not know why NBC is not broadcasting real time.  I wish they would so you could watch with me.  I will stop posting updates if you want to not have spoilers.

JSM - Elvis Stojko just showed up at Olympic square in Downtown Van, strapped on a set of blades and is skating on the outdoor public ice that was setup.  The people on the ice moved to the sides and let him do his thing.  He then took the hand of a little girl and is skating with her, teaching her how to do spins by the looks of it.
