What is Mr. Hornsby insinuating with this remark on Jeff Ashton? 

Having tried cases with Jeff, the best compliment I can give him is that he cross-examines witnesses like a zealous defense attorney crossing a jail-house snitch. I could easily see Casey Anthony snapping against Jeff Ashton and her completely breaking down on the stand.

He is stating in essence that if Casey takes the stand & Jeff Ashton cross examines her that he will successfully break down her lies & she doesnt stand a chance.  In all likelihood she will show her anger & true colors for all to see, there is no way she will hold up during it, much less come out the better end for having testified.  During many pretrial hearings it has been noticed that Casey has exhibited disdain toward him, especially the day he put forward an early State position on what they theorize Casey did & how.

yeah, I get that, but it's the "the best compliment" part that is confusing me.  Does he not like Jeff?  I could think of much better compliments myself, so I am getting an anti-Jeff feeliing from him. 

I believe Hornsby is a mediawhore & someone that appears very envious of people that are perceived to more successful than him.  IMHO, his comment "the best compliment" is indeed a favorable one denoting Ashton's obvious abilities but with some animosity and/or envy attached.   He's also a defense attorney so its not a stretch to say that he may have negative feelings towards prosecutors in general...to me he's a koolaid drinker & very self-absorbed.  Hornsby has also had some rather childish reactions toward Bill Schaeffer who analyzes often for WFTV, in fact rather nasty.

Okay, that is what I get too.  He also believes she will not be found guilty of 1st degree murder maybe manslaughter and will win on appeal? 

Sometimes these talking heads have me wondering if I live on the same planet as them, becasue what I know, would find her guilty w/o a doubt and at least a LWOP sentence, and I hope I am right, but JBP, would not be reversed because he is taking great care to not have any reversible issues, and IMO, his previous history and reputation as not havign any cases reversed on appeal should tell these talking heads something.

I am so upset.  I just spent a few hours reading over at another forum and I cannot believe the things that some people who know nothing about this case might believe.

Some believe that George has been molesting her since 8 and had his body parts in her mouth before she went to school.  Some believe that he hid his granddaughter's body.  Some believe that Kronk somehow stole her body and hid her for months until he could profit off of finding her body.  Some believe that George molesting her would allow her to lie/steal/and bed every single man on the planet for at least 2 years prior to Caylee's death and allowed her to continue lying up until the day her mother called police on her, but SOMEHOW SHE IS MIRACULOUSLY NOT LYING NOW, WITHOUT ANY TREATMENT.   

These people do not question where she was for 2 years BEFORE CAYLEE DIED when she said she went to work.   Why she has decomp evidence in her car (they state so she had a dead body in her car, can you prove it was Caylee or that KC put her there?)  Why not one babysitter has come forth?  Why the name Zanny the Nanny came about, which was way before Caylee died.  How she could allow her mother at least to believe she might be alive for months. 

I truly do not get it.  I do not get the benefit of hiding Caylee, so even if the molestation is true (which I believe to be a balled faced lie), why would George hide her?  Some are suggesting George molested Caylee too. 

Do people believe this crap because they find it so hard to believe that somebody would kill such a beautiful little girl, so there has to be something?

I was not sexually abused in any way growing up.  I did have an uncle who was a pig, but we won't go there, and I do not consider myself abused by him.  I was physically beat (also do not consider myself abused) by my parents (mainly mother) as a child, but all it did to me was make me stronger and more devoted to my own children.  Am I stronger than all the people who believe she would just go into her own world because she may have been molested? 

I don't get it.  I don't think I can handle it.  I wish I could go to sleep and wake up after the verdict.  This has got to be the most ludicrous thing I have ever witnessed in all my years of life and the most painful for me.  I watched Scott Peterson's trial and OJ's trial, and I do not remember any of this kind of side crap going on. 

Some are saying there is no evidence of a murder?  What is evidence of a murder?  Do they need a video of her doing it?  The chloroform in the car, what other possible scenario could it be there for?  The death band of either Caylee or KC and KC is alive?  The dogs hitting on decomp.  Just dumping a car.  All of that has nothing to do with a pool drowning or of her father molesting her (again, which I do not believe even for a second). 

I get they say she was afraid of George so that is why she went on with life as normal, but why would George hide his granddaughter?  Would she not even have a pause in her activity when all of her friends asked her where Caylee was?  A brief moment of reflection about her daughter for 20 seconds?  Could somebody who was so seriously molested go have a 2 day love making session mere hours after her own child accidentally drowned? 

Plus, she called mommy begging her to babysit AFTER George supposedly found his granddaughter in the pool. 

I have seen so many cases convicted on circumstantial evidence and I think that circumstantial evidence combined with other evidence is as strong as a video. 

For me, there is no one other than KC that had motive to do this, had benefit from doing this, and there has been no evidence to date that shows anybody but KC had been the last person she was with. 

I cringe to think of her getting acquitted because of innuendos by her stupid defense lawyer and/or people who are unwilling to go from A and get to Z, because not all the alphabets in between have been presented.  I cringe to think she will be found guilty and then somebody will create a Casey Is Innocent page to try and get her case overturned. 

I need Valium, LOL. 

If anything, right now, if George seems like he is hiding something, for me it seems he seems to be hiding more when he speaks to Bozo, because he cannot stand him for what he is saying about him.  Bozo is trying to catch him in a lie, and George knows it.  So what if he lied, does that automatically mean he molested his daughter for 20 years, hid his granddaughter, and then went about his business as usual while the world looked for Caylee? 

I need some cheering up.  Would the state bring a case they felt they could not win, as all the TH's are saying they won't win?  Would they spend all the money they have spent to just fry KC if they had nothing to back it up? 

Phew that was long.  Going to make my beautiful 3 children (who sometimes give me grief but who I would die without) breakfast.

Thanks Klaas.  I do try to stay away from other sites, but when it gets really late here and all the monkeys have gone to bed (and I should go to bed), it gets hard not to wander on over.  But, I doubt that I could ever be that stupid.
