Michigan is a great state, when I think of Michigan I think of the Iron Mountain area and around there, where my grandparents lived.

When I think of Michigan I think of fat azz Michael Moore   

Just kidding. Really when I think of Michigan I think of cherries 

Its ok - we hate Michael Moore too! But I do know several of the people in the movie and part of it was shot where my hubby's ex lives!  (not one of the nice areas I might add!) 

Glad I didn't offend you TBM.  He just grosses me out. Glad to know that people from Michigan think the same way. Which movie were your friend in? Roger and Me? I despised that man when he made Bowling for Columbine. I don't wish death upon someone, but when his enlarged heart explodes I will pray for him, then do an Irish jig.

TEVYE I forgot to tell you, hope you are still here. US Figure Skating Nationals are on this weekend and next weekend. I think Pairs and Mens are this weekend Saturday and Sunday. Check your local NBC station. NBC is running it. Dance and Ladies are next weekend Saturday and Sunday.         

I always root for Ryan Bradley in mens, then Evan Lysacek. I just think Ryan Bradley has such a funny program, plus he has gorgeous eyes.

YVW, most of the good ice dancers come from Michigan. Charlie White/Meryl Davis and Ben Agosto/Tanith Belbin train in I think in Ann Arbor. I hope you are feeling well and have enjoy the skating.

Yea - Roger and Me - the guy that does the evictions (old black guy as he describes himself) is our person we use for evictions. Great guy. Work with several of his helpers too.

I have a feeling that you will not be the only one doing a jig when he dies from some slow and painful disease.

Attempted Abductions Worry Parents


BURLESON, Texas - Three attempted abductions in one week have parents in one part of Burleson keeping a close eye on their children.

Nine-year-old Autumn Nunn said she was out walking her dog in the 1000 block of Remington Circle this past Saturday she saw a man coming toward her.

“He was creepin’ up against the house,” she said.

The girl ran inside and yelled for her mom.

“He actually came up on the back door,” Angela Nunn said. “He never spoke. But he did wave her to come out and that’s when she yelled that there was a man trying to get in the back door.”

The Burleson Police Department is looking into two other attempted abductions in the same neighborhood . One involved a 10-year-old boy who lives across the street and the other involved a 14-year-old girl.

The descriptions of the suspect were vaguely similar, police said.

“I’m on eggshells. We took off to my parents when the police were done. We left and we didn’t come back until Sunday night,” Nunn said.

Other parents said there is a mood of fear in the neighborhood. Kids aren’t allowed outside alone anymore.

"It always happens in somebody else's neighborhood. You don't ever think that this kind of thing is going to happen here. Then when you think oh my gosh this is happening here. You know, the grizzly bear mom comes out," said parent Robin Hunter.

Parents said they’ve noticed a stronger police presence since the incidents. However, police have not release any additional information about the suspect.

Nunn said she is now constantly looking over her shoulder.

“I’ve always taught them any danger, you always run and scream. Don’t ever talk to them. Get away as fast as you can. So I’m very proud that she did that,” she said.

Morning Monkeys. I was walking Josef this morning and noticed this creature by the creek. At first I thought it was a cat, but it was bigger than a cat, more the size of a dog. It was just sitting there, looking at the creek. I thought to myself, dang that is a huge opossum, when all of a sudden the dang thing jumped in the water and started swimming across the creek. I guess it was maybe a beaver. If I hadn't seen it on the bank of the creek and just saw it swimming I would have thought it was an alligator.

Started the oven and and plate started on fire, I started screaming, the dog ran upstairs to hide. I opened it up, and like a dumbazz started blowing at it to stop the fire. Ashes came rolling out on me. I was going to get my haircut today, almost didn't need to the ashes almost did that for me. I just want to know, what did I do in a past life to bring on all the bad luck I have in this lifetime?  And it's 6:30am, and I have a ton of Irish Creme in my coffee

on a sad note...yesterday on the news they showed where rescuers were freeing an 11 yr old girl from the rubble  in Haiti...they were giving her food and water and she was talking with them...her right leg was stuck ...finally got her out...it was a wonderful moment...but then, later on the news they reported that she had died because of lack of doctor care..they said that she didn't need to die...she could have lived if the conditions were favorable medically...that is a heartbreaker...I don't think that we need to see things like that necessarily and to see the bodies laying on the ground and stacked up...these people are given no dignity even in their deaths..and think of the people of these loved ones who are watching desperately to see a glimpse of their loved ones and they see this stuff! why is the news showing the world this stuff? we know that it is bad over there...we know that they are already suffering...wasn't it not allowed to show the devastation of Katrina as far as bodies and the injured? why are we filming the plight of the Haitians when we didn't want our own people shown like that? what say you all about this? I am really mad..I don't want to see these people in their grief and their suffering...let them have their dignity I say!

I saw that on the news this morning cookie, how very sad, after they rescued her I thought she would be okay. I'm just not comfortable watching this anymore, I think some of the pictures are distasteful, but I think they are showing them so more people contribute to the charities, at least I hope so, and not just for sensationalism. Since I'm comfortable and have given money in the past to Doctors Without Borders, that is where our contribution is going.
